I don't subscribe to the idea of blaming people's speech for someone's decision to assassinate a political figure.

Now, if they actually provide logistical and other support to the killer, that is another matter, they are aiding and abetting and they are accomplices.

I actually agree with that sentiment in spirit and even legally. However, of course, if President Trump is an existential threat to democracy then it should be no surprise that some would use that to stop him at any cost.
