if someone is incompetent at their job they could in fact be a dei hire, i don't think it's wrong to question how they got a job they're not good at and consider the possibility that they're there for reasons other than merit. it's not misogyny to acknowledge that this practice exists, and i can't really fault someone for thinking it in circumstances like this. i'm not sure you realize how weak, stupid, and ineffectual she's made the country look (on top of biden being himself adding to that.) the reality is we live in a world where standards are lowered for certain groups of people, when they're incompetent at their jobs it's likely the case they're there because of those lowered standards. if someone doesn't fit that description and is incompetent, we know they didn't get hired to fit a quota, so instead there's some other reason behind them having a job they're sh*t at.

as for trump being in office, people wanted him there and still want him there. he isn't less qualified than someone like biden who clearly doesn't even have a fully functional brain at this point. whether you like him or not the reality is trump has a strong presence and knows how to use it effectively to get results that work in his favor. i don't believe in voting, i wouldn't be against the whole system being torn down etc, but i give credit where credit is due and trump knows how to sell himself to people. not everyone he's selling himself to is that narrow category of bad traits either. the reality is any system would be flawed and some people are just grasping at whatever seems the best out of their options even when they dislike those options entirely.

the other reality present day is that multiple wars and so on are going on that affect this country right now, can't afford to look weak, and we absolutely do right now. like him or not trump doesnt come off as weak, especially not after that assassination attempt which has done nothing other than provide him with an opportunity to strengthen his image among many people (for completely understandable reasons)

i think misogyny would be assuming any woman who had a job like that was unqualified, but an incompetent one who made such a major mistake? perfectly reasonable thought.
