not surprising. last election biden was used just as a "if you hate trump you'll vote for anyone" establishment candidate, he was an obvious puppet then, it's just that as he's declined mentally the strings have become more visible. he's weak, a weak leader in a time of war, and financial distress when a country needs power is doomed to failure. people want their lives to be better or the same, they want safety, and so they seek strength. charisma gives an air of strength, which is what trump displays. the shooter all but handed trump the election at this point. biden is trying to figure out where to sit and stumbling over his words, trump is almost killed and goes on to continue to rally people in a coherent manner. he's very clearly studied dictators and other strong figures too, you can see it in his enunciation, his hand movements, the way he stands. many leaders who have had incredible amounts of power act these ways, present themselves in this manner. it's very clear who people can have more confidence in leading them somewhere (regardless of where it is) that's potentially safe. it's a stark comparison and plain as day to anyone willing to see it.

I’ve reached new levels of cynicism when it comes to both parties, in the past few weeks. The way I used to feel. I’ve also lost respect for independents that I used to prefer.

You wouldn’t know a dictator is you voted for one! Wait! You did! Biden has zero charisma. But menu of his actions were those of a lawless dictator. You don’t care because you like what he is dictating. They makes you two things: A hypocrite and a hack.
