I keep hearing from the usual suspects that illegal aliens are not taking black and hispanic jobs. That's bullshiite so let's put a cork in that nonsense. Trump is right!Most Employment Growth Since Pandemic Has Gone to Immigrants Labor force participation for “prime age” U.S.-born men remains at historic lows. President Biden claimed in April that the United States has “the best economy in the world”, with a job market that the New York Times calls “historically strong”. Unfortunately, too many U.S.-born are missing out on the supposed “job-creation boom.” It is true that the country has added millions of jobs since the height of Covid. However, most of that employment growth has gone to immigrants, both legal and illegal. The government’s household survey shows that there were only 971,000 more U.S.-born Americans employed in May 2024 compared to May 2019 prior to the pandemic, while the number of employed immigrants has increased by 3.2 million.

Just popping in to say that my cat seems to be okay, so I'm too happy to involve myself in this stuff right now. My little one had a blood transfusion, and I have to keep him quiet for a couple of weeks. We picked him up late - they were busy, unfortunately (so many sick animals, and terrified pet owners). I have things to do, and I need to shower, and get some real sleep, hopefully. I'll also know to listen to my instincts, something I'm having to re-learn. I had a bad feeling on Friday, as we were rushing around, and I didn't listen to it. I was so wired and anxious, and couldn't sleep, but the animals seemed to be okay. they said he's a real good cat. I'm going to spend Mars square my Mars, making sure he's okay, and getting things done around here. Also figuring something out. IP: Logged |
