No, they are hurting the city economically. They are straining emergency rooms and schools. They are putting adults in the same classes as high school students. They cause 10 car accidents a day because they have no licenses and don’t know how to drive, according to the New York Times, some that result in fatalities. A 70-year-old woman was killed in a crash, and no charges were filed! The only growth they are fueling is the number of people there and the costs for the city.

If anywhere in the world, 20,000 foreigners move to a city of 58,000 people within the span of 4 years, and those foreigners do not have money, they do not speak the language, many of them can barely read or write, they are going to be needing extra services and cares, and they have a different culture and mores, they are going to put undue strain on the city's infrastructure, health, education and social service system.

And let's not talk about how they are going to displace low wage workers by being willing to accept even lower wages.

This is a situation that will create resentment and strife, and it doesn't matter if the city was made of black, white, liberal or conservative people.
