At the 5th hole shots were fired at President Trump's golf course in West Palm Beach. Secret Service covered him. Snipers knew the direction the shots came from. An AK-47 was found. He had pushed it through the fence line. Drone footage identified the car that the shooter fled in, and the car was surrounded in less than 30 minutes. No details yet as to what happened after that. The first thing President Trump did was ask about his friend, Steve, who was not there but arrived later. President Trump said: "It was even. I had a birdie putt. I really wanted to finish the hole."UPDATE: One man is in custody, and a black vehicle was impounded. UPDATE: It was the Secret Service that fired the shots at a lone gunman who had an AK-47. The agents were ahead of President Trump on the course and saw the gunman and immediately opened fire. Not only drones, but they had "car readers" that picked up his tag and found him on Interstate 90 and stopped the car as the witness identified him (he saw the muzzle poking through the fence). They are tracing the purchase of the weapon. THE PERIMETER SHOULD HAVE BEEN CLOSED OFF UP TO 500 YARDS, WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN PAST THE PROPERTY LINE BUT WITHIN THE FIRE ZONE FOR A HIGH-POWERED RIFLE WITH A SCOPE AND ALSO A DIGITAL PERIMETER SET UP! However, other than that oversight, great job, Secret Service. UPDATE: He has been identified as an assassin. The FBI now has jurisdiction. HOW DID THE ASSASSIN HAVE THE INFORMATION ABOUT WHERE AND WHEN PRESIDENT TRUMP WAS THERE? THIS WAS NOT PUBLIC INFORMATION! Live news conference has begun: Warrants (including a search warrant for the vehicle) and a motion for pretrial detention are being filed at the state level to keep him incarcerated, but that does not preclude federal charges. Why wasn't that street closed? The Secret Service said that a former President is not afforded the same protections as a current President. BULLSH*t! He is running for office! This is the second assassination attempt in 2 months! Security should be ramped up ASAP! He also had a GoPro. He planned to film it and possibly put it up on social media! Hard left people are now saying online that they missed again and need to learn how to site their guns better. What do you suppose would happen if someone from the right said that about assassination attempts on people from the left? The left is worried because President Trump is going to win. Hunter had more security going to court than RFK, Jr. because Biden pulled his Secret Service protection. ASs far as the protection, it's not just about the role that you hold--it's about the threat level--and the threat protection should be commensurately ramped up to the meet the threat. IP: Logged |

Ukraine refused to arm him, when he flew over there to help, apparently. But he was able to get a gun here. Because of lax gun laws (or NO laws around the ability to buy a gun). IP: Logged |
