Archangel Michael is also the patron of soldiers. My dad fought in a world war. He dreamed of Archangel Michael when he became ill, who told him he would live for several more years. And it came to pass.IP: Logged |

He invoked an archangel? Really? If anyone spoke like that on the left, you would all be mocking them. IP: Logged |

Just as there are angels who guide humanity, there are also angels who preside over and guide nations and even actively engage in the affairs of nations. Historically, there is the example of St. Joan of Arc. She felt herself to be guided by Michael, the Archangel, and others. Believing she was acting under divine guidance, she led the French Army that successfully ousted the English in their attempt to conquer the French during the Hundred Years War. http://www.britannica.com/biography/Saint-Joan-of-Arc IP: Logged |

I haven't read the book, but there are many references to Enoch in one of my favorite books. A spiritual teacher I met wrote that "Enoch became more than human and something more than the angels of God." In the Book of Genesis, it says that "Enoch walked with God, then he was no more, because God took him." (Genesis 5:21-24). This teacher wrote that this suggests that Enoch left the world without "tasting death."
