A panelist on CNN asserted that when Republicans talk about abortions it’s detrimental to Republicans among women.Rich Baris, who is the only pollster in the country who has polled this issue in depth, says this is not true. He found that when you have these discussions about these types of abortions, women who identify as pro choice “start to run for the hills.” quote:
You start to lose about a quarter of pro choice voters when there is a fetal heart beat present in the womb. At 20-25 weeks and doctors say that the baby can feel pain, you begin to lose a little over a third of voters, who are predominantly women. As far as late term abortion, even if there are risks to the pregnancy, you lose a majority of pro choice voters, which are again, largely women. The only category of voters who say abortion should be legal in every stage of pregnancy are liberal men.

I'm not surprised. We had women in my State, who pretended to vote against it, last year, when they voted in favour of it, because their husbands and ministers/priests, are anti-choice.So, this means Trump shouldn't have chosen anti-choice SCOTUS judges, who would twist whatever they could, in order to overturn Roe. Something that Trump was proud of - seating those judges. At six weeks, that isn't a fetal heartbeat. There is no heart to beat. I've seen both doctors and nurses address this, and it's something you guys have ignored. They are also only one-quarter of a massive group - so when you ban abortion on that basis, you're still ignoring the other three-quarters of people who believe that it should be legal - which is exactly what people have been saying all along. But you focus on that one-quarter as being the most important people - the only ones who should be considered. They aren't the most pro-choice. IP: Logged |

I'm not sure why you, or this person, are trying to spin them as *the most* pro-choice. Especially since you - and most republicons - have argued against abortion, calling it "murder", and stating that women should be punished, if they have an abortion.
