President Trump intends on hitting the ground running. The sheer magnitude of the things he will do on day one would be daunting to anyone else. Biden was asking what he was signing and was told to just sign it, and he did. President Trump is the exact opposite. He knows exactly what he is signing because he is controlling his agenda instead of being controlled like a sock puppet. So, the day one agenda contains a veritable plethora of items. Week one will cover even more—such as installing (and negotiation of) tariffs and ending the war In Ukraine. But what should the agenda cove in the first 100 days? What would you like to see? I have two that I want to see: 1. The dissolution of the Dept. of Education. 2. A new tax plan through budget reconciliation, as well as anything else that can be creatively included in a budget reconciliation (it doesn’t require 60 Senate votes). That means renewing the Trump tax cuts, reinstalling SALT, a caregiver tax write off, an expansion of the business equipment deduction, writing off interest on automobile purchases, lowering the corporate rate to 15 percent, and no tax on tips, overtime, or Social Security.IP: Logged |
