Dan Scavino, assistant to President Trump, says it's not going to happen.

Just spoke to President Trump regarding Mike Rogers going to the FBI. It’s not happening — In his own words, “I have never even given it a thought.” Not happening.

Ex Deputy Director of the FBI, Andrew McCabe of Crossfire Hurricane infamy, endorsed Rogers. He's the Intelligence Community pick, which should immediately disqualify him.

Rogers is a defender of the Patriot Act and warrantless spying on Americans, and was all in on Russiagate.

Who is pushing Rogers? Trump supporters want Kash Patel.

Kash Patel already announced on his FB account a week ago that he has been chosen for the position.

I don’t know why President Trump hasn’t officially said anything yet. 🤷‍♀️

Maybe this explains it:

quote:
...current FBI Director Chris Wray has not resigned, and he has two years left on his term. President Trump cannot fire Chris Wray until he takes office after the inauguration. Therefore, all of the discussion about a new FBI director is essentially moot.

We likely will not know anything about the retention or removal of Christopher Wray, until after President Trump takes office.

Makes sense. But why tease us with other names?
