Reciprocal tariffs is an excuse for a trade war. This discussion is like something kids would say after they’re caught doing something bad:” he started it!” Diplomacy is the answer, only if that doesn’t work, you try different tactics. You don’t start trade wars the first months of your presidency. That’s bully behavior.

How about you react to the fact that fentanyl isn’t the reason for tariffs, yet this is what is claimed by Trump? If reciprocal tariffs are the reason, why does he keep making up other reasons for tariffs? Isn’t he just looking for an excuse? This makes him look like he doesn’t know what he wants, erratic.

He already said tariffs are for a different reason right now. Reciprocal tariffs start April 2. Why do you object to America charging exactly what other countries charge? They have been ripping us off for decades. If they lower theirs, we'll lower ours.

You’re right.

And I don’t recall us ever having a drug war with *Canada*.

Trump calls his peace negotiations with Putin: "dividing up certain assets." Again this is all about landgrab to Trump. How much money there is to win. He's not a strong leader, he's a immoral leader.

Do you call Biden a moral leader? Or a strong leader?

Is every criticism of Trump going to be retorted with "but Biden"? That's weak and you know it.

The peace negotiotians are also going terrible. Putin demands that Ukraine surrenders more territory than they currently occupy. He also demands that Ukraine must surrender all it's weapons. That basically means that for peace, Russia basically demands that Ukraine just gives up and surrenders. It's completely unacceptable. If Trump supports that, Putin has him in his pocket.

What's weak is that you never levied any criticism for Biden's weaknesses on the world stage that got us into all these messes in the first place. There never would have been a war in Ukraine had President Trump been in office in a consecutive term.

Russia invaded Ukraine. That's what got us into this mess. Trump tried to blackmail Zelenskyy. That led to his first impeachment.

Wrong as always. I’m so tired of correcting you. I’ve already mentioned this several times. We had a treaty with Ukraine that required the President to investigate corruption. There was also a law that required the same. That is exactly what President Trump was doing by wondering how Hunter had no energy experience but somehow got on the board of an energy company. It reeked of corruption. The first impeachment was a hoax. Zelensky said that he wasn’t threatened. But Biden did threaten and blackmail that if the prosecutor investigating Hunter wasn’t fired, all funds would be withheld. How this all got started is that Biden caused it by allowing Putin to open his pipeline and by his dumb energy policies raising the price of oil, allowing Putin to make the money that he needed to fund the invasion.

Ukraine was invaded by Russia for the first time in 2014. That’s when the Krim peninsula was taken. Trump did nothing from 2017 to 2021 to solve that. The threat remained.

You also don’t seem to understand how upset Europeans are with the way Trump and his cabinet are handeling the situation right now. The diplomatic damage is huge. The U.S. is going backwards in human rights at an alarming rate. And the economic consequences will come soon enough.

No one cares what the Europeans think. They need us way more than we need them. Unless they want to continue buying oil from Russia, that is. Why are they paying Putin money to fund his war efforts anyway? The economic consequences of what? Trillions in new money is flowing into our country.

Oh, stop. YOU don’t care what Europeans think. You want us isolated, for some reason.
