He doesn't think that force will be necessary, but it has to happen.Except that it doesn't. Trump just refuses to take "no" for an answer. IP: Logged |

I don't like the idea of taking Greenland by force. I don't even like the hint of it...IP: Logged |

President Trump just wants them to start thinking about security. Russia and China are circling in their waters. IP: Logged |

If this is the goal, that is not a good way to go about it.IP: Logged |

This idiot dressed up like Zelenskyy, on his unwanted trip to Greenland. Vance can go **** himself. We do not need Greenland. IP: Logged |

i mean... you say that like having more territory would be bad especially at a time when an enemy is expanding or at least attempting to. it actually would be a good move to overtake areas like that. though by force is tricky and through influence would be better. also given the change of allies with the tariff war, expanding makes sense in that vein as well. it's unpleasant, i get that, but it genuinely isn't a bad move when you consider potential expansion of russian territories through the ukraine (we're still seeing where that leads, but action needs to be taken now, and given russia's military it would be smart to be cautious particularly if we're cutting old allies loose. a grab for strategically based territory would actually be a decent move. cutting old allies loose then seeking to expand once you're no longer constrained by old agreements actually would make sense. the climate is heading towards that being an alright idea. i get that there's the loss of life and such, and the dangers of that, but world stage wise it makes sense. also even if we remained within that bubble the general trend toward war was already beyond the point of no return and that's been building a long time. all roads lead to rome deal, it's happening, you just get to pick your poison essentially. just part of the cycle. not saying this will happen btw, just that in a certain light it works. We don't get to take a country, just because Trump wants it, and can't take NO for an answer. IP: Logged |

well if someone isn't taking no for an answer and is willing to use any means necessary to gain something and they win then... they kinda do get to take it. that's how the country you're living in came into existence in the first place even lol. that's how war works. anyway my point is that it makes sense to expand or attempt to expand in a situation where a potential enemy is expanding and you're engaged in a war with previous allies. more territory is a way to secure more resources longterm. obviously it's best to do this as peacefully as possible through influence and presence over time, but if it came down to force it's an understandable move. You can't do anything about what President Trump does because your party lost power due to Dems caring more about having men beat up women in sports and cutting off children's genitals and/or giving them puberty blockers instead of the real issues that Americans were actually concerned about.
