I have written to Randall.
I do not like getting into drama but Ami is out of line and then to tamper with this thread editing and deleting folks' posts as she deems fit is just not right!

To clear up my position I didn't say I don't believe they exist. I certainly do. I've contracted a few as have friends. I'm just simply saying that they can be cured.

Before everyone jumps down my throat just ask yourselves this; who does it benefit when one in ten have stds? Think about it people. Once you understand that you are half way there.

Gypsee- I'm sorry about your aunt and uncle. Not all alternative meds are expensive. But I would rather pay $1,000 for something that works instead of $10 a month for something that makes my health worse.

LEXX- Where are these things found? Sometimes it's just a matter of diet believe it or not (for some things). Unfortunately the Big Brother is watching and wants to make sure that very few people find these cures. Why? Well that brings me back to my first point.

2 of my posts have been deleted...

The one that you re-posted, LEXX. Thanks.

And another one that read simply:

HEY! Where did my post go?

That one was deleted, too...

Anyway, to expound on ABsinthe's point...

Some people feel MORE comfortable having unprotected sex within marriage because they see it as a false sense of security.

As in; a married person is monogamous and so is their partner, so what are the chances of catching anything? Obviously, if one person cheats then the chances are huge and not much different if they were single. So, yeah... what you have here is just a mess waiting to happen.

And thank you for your condolences LC. My Aunt and Uncle had neither ten dollars nor a thousand, they were homeless much of the time. The state paid one hundred percent of their medications, and also picked them up on the aids bus to take them to the clinic every day to make sure that the meds were administered.
I understand your point which is that drug companies get rich on fear propaganda, but it's just not responsible to say that diseases can simply be cured with diet all the time. I wish that was so. I really do.

Exactly. I have a friend, who now has herpes, because her husband was screwing around, and ended up contracting that one, and she's got to deal with that for the rest of her life.

Are you sure you have been cured?
That is a terrible assumption that can hurt you and your lover(s).
How were you and your friends' stds cured?
How did you know if or what exactly you all had?
Were you all tested before and after these "cures"?
Honestly, if you know a real cure without relying on the medical community,
please share...
however...please....
back up your claims with proof not belief.

Yes, for some but NOT STDs!

I agree!
However the facts are, there are indeed things which cannot yet be cured and or do require medicines to cure them!
Diet will not cure STDs. Nor TB, nor other things.

Thank you.
I just got very upset seeing a serious topic being not taken seriously.

And it being a topic which like others here;
has hit too close to home or in my case experienced personally.

I mean, how would she feel if we all made fun of a sensitive issue for her personally...suicide?
There are just some things that should not be joked about.

Certain STD's are viral infections, that at this point in time, can be REPRESSED but not CURED.

Cured, as in, removed and killed and completely inactivated from the body.

Bacterial STD's can often times be treated with anti-biotics.

They CAN'T be cured with natural rememdies. In fact, recommending that STD's should be treated naturally, instead of being treated with AGE OLD ANTIBIOTICS, is a prescription in many cases for sterility.

Edit: AND, a prescription for Death.

My sympathies for your Aunt and Uncle.

And yes, as both you and

AbsintheDragonfly
agree,
so do I!
Being married is not a guarantee of not catching an STD.

I would have to have 100% trust in a person to ever again have any sex with, protected or unprotected.

I love sex!
But
not going to risk my health and or life ever again!

Recently I had a shot at my doctors office for this upper resprirtory infection that I could not get rid of. My doctor informed me that it was the same shot that is given to people that have gonnorhea (sp?) I tell you, that shot hurt! And I have a pretty high pain threshhold.

Then I found myself watching a documentary about Charles Manson and his 'family' which said that a doctor was sent to Spahn Ranch monthly to administer the same kind of shot to all of those folks.
That's nuts!! It's just not worth it!

Thank You Lexx

And I don't blame you. Trust is paramount in any relationship, but these days it's lives on the line. I wish people would take this more serious!! I see my daughters friends with so many partners, and it breaks my heart because they all think it's such a joke! So Sad!

Scary indeed!
So many modern versions of Mary" out there infecting folks.

But that is the way it is at this time.

It is beyond irresponsible and unethical to tell folks they are able to cure such by diet and positive thinking.

Ami edited her own posts, and there's nothing wrong with that. Just letting you guys know that we have lost a few posts and a couple of strings and even a Knowflake's account (FQ) today when the server surged a few times. I wish you wouldn't always immediately assume that Ami is deleting things.

Randall, it's just that these "glitches" seem to happen at very opportune times, and target very specific posts.

It is heart wrenching seeing folks not taking these things seriously,
and
not becoming educated on such things.

I have had too many broken or slipped condom
encounters to risk even safe sex any longer.

Yes,
I would require monogamy and trust 100% now.

I am so very lucky,
that my wild years of sexual expression did not kill me, nor leave me with any uncured or un-curable STDs.
