I did the same thing, Selenite. I began reading it thoroughly, starting with the first page.... then was shocked to find that she had suicide. Condolences to Ami, Lexx, PJ, and, anyone else who had participated in friendship with her, got to know her. There was a thread in LLC2.0 devoted to her passing. To All Survivors of Abuse.... {{{{ }}}} ref http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum25/HTML/005353.html IP: Logged |

I was just catching up on threads and this popped up. Her story is heartbreaking. I went to her Facebook page, Youtube channel. She was a lovely person. To those who knew her, here is a Website that was built as a tribute to her. ================================================================================================ You can download her memoirs here: An open minded Girl, by Christine Jonker ================================================================================================ She did have them published after all, except maybe not in the way she would've expected. I have just read Christine's Memoirs. A very emotional read for me, so many parallels in our lives and the challenges we were presented with.I deeply regret not knowing her when she was active here. I wish I could have reached out to her in kinship and hope. I don't know what else to say. She shouldn't be gone. No survivors should have to die, we must do better for our wounded brothers and sisters. IP: Logged |

Exactly. It happens, that one can't break out of that cycle of depression - recovery - relapse. The one that wins out decides our life, for better or worse. I hate that in her case, the dark side won. IP: Logged |
