I was shaken OUT of my suburban life where things SHOULD have made sense but they didn't.
How much worse could my life get if I shook it up trying to find the truth? The single most important factor in my being able to change is my belief in Jesus.
Jesus is a personal God to me. He is a best friend, a lover,if need be, a mother, a father. He has come to me when all I have had is faith,nothing inside me but emptiness and desperation and He has touched me. In fact,He never let me down. ------------------

I sobbed myself to sleep for 5 months.I sobbed as if my body would die for an hour or two every night.
I talked to God as if He was there.
He showed up.
He is strange in that He shows up RIGHT when you think He won't.
It is some Divine "trick" that maybe we have to get to the end of the rope and jump.
When we jump, He catches us.------------------

The book "Cure By Crying" changed my life.
Tears are the way out--pure and simple.
They are the highway to health.
Tears are a gift.
After my son died,my tears were dry.
Now, when I cry,I am grateful.God provides easy ways to heal everything,IMO,physical and emotional problems. The ways are so simple that people overlook them in search of fancy things. God made the mind and body self healing.
You have to have the right ingredients,though. ------------------

For me, tears were the way out,as I said.
Trauma is stored in the right side of the brain,the emotional side.
No amount of talking or reading will free the trauma.
That is why you see people who can talk about all the theories but are STILL in incredible pain.
Also, you see people who have been in therapy for a lifetime but are no better off than when they went in.This is a paradox that most people cannot fathom.
The answer is that trauma is stored in the right side of the brain and must be RELEASED by the right side of the brain. ------------------

I teach English as a Foreign Language in Korea. In theory that means that I teach English as a second language to people who want to learn it. However in practise I'm kind of a mix between a baby-sitter and a "teacher of everything" teacher, because Korean kids spend an awful amount of time in school. Actually it's Winter Vacation now, but I'm doing "Winter Camp". Actually it's just school as usual. But I get to make up whatever I wanna teach, especially in holiday times, so I just do whatever comes into my head ... inspiration sometimes strikes only seconds before it must be implemented. Let's see, this morning I've done an alphabet rap, taught the first and second graders to say "interesting" and "not interesting", did the second verse of "Once Upon a Dream" from Disney's sleeping beauty, and taught the fifth and sixth graders about gilt bronze incense burners : D------------------

thats what i want to do in like china or japan...i am studying advantly to learn the langauges, yes both of them, especailly japanese...and i have FINALLY found a website that teaches japanese and i have learned SO much...i'm like a sponge when it comes to the japanese language  ------------------

Really? I'm studying Korean. The Koreans aren't very fond of the Japanese because the country was ruled by Japan untill just a couple of decades or so ago : ) Apparently Korean grammar is like Japanese grammar while Korean vocabulary is like Chinese vocabulary!------------------

oh really? i didnt know that about the grammar, but i knew the writing systems over there are all based on the chinese writing system...so please enlighten me, give me some grammar rule....pleeeaasseee ------------------

I diagnosed the problem i.e. distortions.
Now,how to get rid of them and come back to our true state?
Such an easy question but the road is only for the brave.
The brave need a hand up,though.
God has always provided that for me.

As I change,it helps to focus on my strengths.
I think we,always,get compensating gifts for our sorrows.
God,always ,provides a way out.
The road is so difficult that many travelers stop by the side or do not attempt to go ,in the first place.
The hard part is going on the road,I think.

Ooh NickiG don't tempt me to start lecturing on grammar!!! Anyways I think basically the similarity to Japanese grammar is the verb is always at the end of a sentence and particles are used to attach to words to indicate their function in a sentence. That's different from English because in English we use word order to indicate what each word is doing in the sentence. Example: The boy kissed the girl. Because boy is in the "subject"position we know it's the subject. However Korean would say Boy-ga (ga being subject particle) girl-ul (ul being object particle) kissed. If you mix ga and ul up you can keep the word order as is:
Boy-rul (ul for consonants, rul for vowels) girl-i (uhm ... the subject particle is i for consonants and ga for vowels) kissed, and that would mean it was the girl doing the kissing : ) I don't know much about Japanese grammar, it's just that all the textbooks say Korean grammar and Japanese grammar are similar, so I was kinda just repeating that. The Korean writing system is unique though because it is phonetic and not based on pictograms like Chinese and Japanese. Anyways good luck with your Japanese studies and yes come over here to Asia ... it's a total mind - 'you know what' (f # c k).
