So, let's clear out these stigmas...Nothing wrong with taking a pill if it works. Nothing wrong with people deciding to get medical help for their illnesses, choosing the treatment plan that's best for them, and nothing wrong with feeling better!!! I hope that anyone reading this thread will come away with a few laughs, and realize that there are many options, and no one should stop short of getting the kind of help they need. No one should be confined, just because their family, friends, or society does not agree or understand a specific medical treatment option... IP: Logged |

You gotta fight for your rights! Don't let anyone tell you to sit down, shut up, look pretty, and take a spoonful of their judgment. You only got one life - fight for it! IP: Logged |

And, Littlecloud, if you have any information on positive health benefits from natural remedies for depression, feel free to post them here...I may not ever consider them personally, but realize they may offer some benefits for others... Regardless, I think Ami is not herself tonight and is acting rather strange... Actually it's freakin me out a little. Are you ok, AMI? IP: Logged |

I realize you could be joking, but seeing as you have a bit of a past of huge trauma, I feel it would be socially irresponsible to not ask you another question.. Who is Kilroy? IP: Logged |

That's how I felt, but I am still hoping that she's just joking... A little worried it's more serious, though. IP: Logged |

I closed them. Threads about depression just like STDs which seem to both be just just too fraking funny to Ami. So yes, I closed them. Now I see she is trying to make a mockery of things here too. I do not see the humour here. And I agree, it is rather creepy. IP: Logged |

At first, I thought it was just a joke... but when she introduced herself as Kilroy, that's when I "didn't get the joke" anymore and really started worrying, seriously.IP: Logged |

Not sure why Ami is flipping out. Please forgive the segue but here is some information on the off topic issue. quote: Kilroy was here Bill Myers http://www.bmyers.com/public/672.cfm During WWII, James J. Kilroy's job was to inspect the bulkhead rivets in newly built troop transport ships. After completing each inspection, he chalked the words 'Kilroy was here' on the bulkhead. To the troops being transported in those ships, the meaning of 'Kilroy was here' was a complete mystery. All they knew for sure was that he had been there and signed his name. As a joke, they began scrawling 'Kilroy was here' graffiti wherever US forces landed, claiming it was already there when they It became a challenge to place the motto in the most unlikely places. It was said to be written atop Mt. Everest, the Statue of Liberty, the underside of the Arch de Triumphe, and in the dust on the moon. On the occasion of the historic Potsdam conference, an outhouse was built for the exclusive use of Truman, Stalin, and Churchill. The first person to use it was Stalin. He emerged and asked his aide (in Russian), "Who is Kilroy?" The Kilroy story is a great example of the marketing technique known as 'leaving footprints'. The concept is this: every place you visit on the net, you should consider leaving a footprint leading back to your own site. But unlike the Kilroy message, which was posted indiscriminately, your footprint should be placed only where it is appropriate. If you do this often enough your site might become as famous as Kilroy. See my recent article for more details with actual examples.
So is Ami trying to garner more attention as illustrated above? Well gee, that is rather troll-like in my opinion. As she is a moderator I feel her off topic intrusion onto more than one thread, is just not right. Especially threads on serious issues.

I'm just worried she dabbled a bit too much with the out-of-body and kundalini stuff and seriously snapped out... I don't know her as well as some here, but something doesn't seem/feel right... Probably just a big joke. Ha ha? IP: Logged |

Overall, I'm used to the intrusion and the conflicts, because I in some ways invite the debate, however, Ami's approach tonight was really just... strange...I really didn't understand her intent with Kilroy (even if it was just a joke) on your thread, LEXX, as of recently she seemed to be somewhat getting along with you.
