Often hate is justified by refusing to look at where you are like what you "see". There is a big difference between anger and hate.

Have you ever tried Byron Katie's 4 question inquiry? It is most illuminating. Or an even simpler exercise called the "giveaway"... Take a sheet of newspaper and pencil, and write over the newsprint wxactly what you have to say to the offending person. No holds barred, give em your best shot and say exactly what you think of them and their behavior...then crumple/tear up the paper and discard.

Give up needing others to agree with you and ironically many more will. Hate is a wakeup call to be responsible for yourself, not to achieve revenge.

My favourite "prayer" when people trouble, irritate or scare me, is "help me see this/them in a different light, cos I can't do this anymore". I hsve seen people change, leave, die! after this, and no, my prayer didn't kill them. It wasn't about them.

When people are hurtful there is something in you that wants them to be different. Not in your power to alter the course of their life, but you can find a different way of seeing them or the situation? The world is what it is, we get bent out of shape when we think it has to suit our taste only.

I have all kinds of people on my website, gay, transgender, bi, all races, all religions, atheists.

I love it. I feel truly honored that all these people feel comfortable on a Born Again Christian Forum.

Anyone, one girl who is bi was upset because a Born Again Christian guy said things about gays.

She wanted me to censor it but I told her SHE needs to learn to deal with it because one can't run from people who don't like them, for whatever reason.

Anyway, that is true. You have to stand up, in your own way and when you can do that, your hatred with dissipate.
