I listen to a variety of "electronic" music. I ignore the 5 billion names for all of it. The stuff Barbie posted, most anyway. I like this stuff too like laying in bed or driving down a country road at night. The Synthetic Dream Foundation - cerce's armoured…: http://youtu.be/nrQXZnCH3nE IP: Logged |

Strange! I like that video and parts of the song but don't relate to the vibe. Doesn't match my emotional landscape at all. What aspects of yours, do you think, resonate with that dark vibe? You have Pluto on your ASC? IP: Logged |

...Meanwhile, back in stay-at-home mom land...This morning I'm looping this duet: Close Your Eyes Oh and this is my cleaning music lately. I have windows that tilt in so you can wipe them down...so the lyrics, "How the windows lean into the room" are literal and trigger this song in my head. Everyone cares about this deeply, I know, so that's why I have to share it. IP: Logged |

Pluto/asc and mercury/Mars in 12th. (Mars conjunct asc from 12) Plus, people often tie Venus to music. My Venus is 12th only squaring Neptune. Oh, Jupiter in 8th trines merc/mars and asc. Idk... One or all of those? IP: Logged |

If you ever lost someone, either to tragic circumstances or even literal death, you might find this speaks to you...I know it has resonated with me at times: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=euuxPokAeIA One part I especially like is where the one who was lost speaks back, starting about 1:23 with "I know you're broken down by anger and by sadness" and ending with (about 2:25) "But baby please don't do what I did, I don't want you to waste your life in vain." Some of that could fit by people I lost or abandoned me, but the feelings of having failed someone also haunt me from when I made a plan to save her but she died before it could happen (and in retrospect I can think of other ways to have gone about it that might've saved her life, though such plans were unthinkable, even absurd, to me back then, but there's still the survivor's guilt). And that middle part also ties into vivid past life recall I had that matches how I felt as I died leaving 2 families to survive without me (and one of the wives I condemned to poverty and misery by my death became my mother in this life who was emotionally distant when not downright sadistic, and she also held my best friend back then in contempt--who was my other wife in the previous life and the one I failed to save in this life before she died), and was especially foolish on my part as I didn't want to choose between the 2 families as I loved them equally (perhaps why I'm a Libra in this life, to learn to choose?) so instead of retiring with plenty of wealth with one I continued the pirate lifestyle until it finally caught up with me and killed me--and destroyed both families in the process as I refused to choose, a sitch I was more responsible for than either of them were. And that song of regret for dying to leave others behind to pick up the pieces resonates with me for that reason as well. That previous life and this one is quite the tapestry as those I abandoned by my death abandoned me in one way or another in this one...and I wasn't surprised to find out the wife who was more bitter than heartbroken became my mother in this life (she was also cheating on me with another pirate, who was my dad in this life, and I wonder how much that contributed to the one time he thought I was going to murder him ). So I can see the song from both sides, the abandoned and the dead, in both this life and the previous. IP: Logged |

@Cata ~ Were you a serious hippie? @Pixie ~ That song gave me goosebumps at times, and how it fits your own story so well is just crazy. Sorry that your life has been so hard even if your past life brought it on. Does the song The Last Farewell affect you at all? Same kind of abandonment but with more elegant goodbye (if that'd be much consolation to anyone. I guess it depends.) 'Never had a clear past life recall, but plenty of people have convinced me that their own recollections of previous lives are real. IP: Logged |

Lol @ serious hippies. No but I was a guitarist and both those guys changed the face of guitarworld in their own ways. Though hippies copied their clothing neither was "one"...too much Pluto in both.Yesterday brought them both to mind. Jimi's death and just coincidence...but those tracks always lift and/or soothe me and I have needed both lately IP: Logged |

EDITED: no need to share that anymore, but I'll leave the song, a soft hope in the darkness, Only Time Will Tell: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ldxtEDT1SC8 Time renews tomorrow, When we've used today. It will find the sorrow And wash it all away. Love can play a new tune On this carousel. It may be tomorrow, But only time will tell. Somewhere in the darkness There must be a light, Leading us together Through the misty night. And maybe in the new dawn We can break the spell. It may be tomorrow, But only time will tell. There can be a new dream, One for us to hold, Made with peace and hope And built upon the old. No one has the answer To give away or sell. Tomorrow holds the secret, But only time will tell. Positive, UPBEAT music. Lots of house. Aerobic music lol. Music really messes with me emotionally, so no emo sh*t for me. Gotta stay active, gotta keep moving.Whenever I get down, I listen to sexy Lenny Are you gonna go my way. Immediately puts me on my Aries tracks. @Cata ~ Hope you're feeling better? Does that music bring you back to a time in your life that was just happy for you? Remind you of someone you spent that time with? --- @Pixie ~ Loved your story. You've written about it before and I remember, but re-reading it gives me a stronger visual and emotional impression. And what a poignant song to complement how you feel about all of it now. I can't begin to imagine how the people in my life played different roles in my former lives, and will be different still in the future. Though I can easily cast certain people I know in generic roles like: The Soulmate-turned-Enemy The Crazy Person The Teacher The Friend who never left my side etc. ETA: Oh and I'll add The Protector..which is how I see my father. --- @Dancing Glad you know what works for you! Sometimes I looooove that "emo sh*t" but to each her own... -- ETA: @violet~ Thanks for covering for my mistake, now nobody's gonna know about it!

Relative to what I was just saying to Catalina...As I was writing that, I started thinking of this song and the reason why sometimes I feel like I need to hear it. It brings me back to one of my happiest memories. One of my best friends had this song play while she and her new husband were introduced as "Mr and Mrs" for the first time at their wedding reception, and everyone was cheering, and they both looked so perfectly happy...elated...as they descended the stairs and started dancing. She is one of the best people I've ever known and so many people were saying that day, that if anyone deserves happiness, it's her...and we were all so thrilled that she found it. For once it was like life made sense. IP: Logged |

I like it too, Faith, I'm Moon-Neptune exact. But you asked about recent periods and how it reflects what I am going through. I am very stressed and under pressure and all I want is to drive away somewhere new and leave it all behind, but I can't. I can't go back and I can't cave in, so I must force myself to push forward. Upbeat music helps, emo sh*t does not. ------------------ ~the raving one dancing in the nude~ IP: Logged |

Gotcha Thanks for explaining, I thought you meant you never listened to slow stuff.I like that plan, just staying "upbeat" literally.
