Have just received a text from the s.o. He has finally decided to grow his hair out. Praise the heaven!!!!!! I can just imagine him in his lab coat, wearing glasses... his hair tied back... loose wispy strands framing his face... ASDFGHJKLLLLLLLLLLLL *Rolling around on the bed excitedly* This morning, the moment I woke up I knew it would be a good day. The sun was out, the sky was blue, the wind was gentle. Had a good breakfast. Had a good lunch. Got a great book in a garage sale few blocks from our place. The fairy slippers were in full bloom - such a lovely violet-blue shade. Work was good. Kids were cute as usual. Got a few ideas for my paintings. Received a gift of a pocket-sized paints set - the tiny paint cubes immediately hit my love for miniature things. Neighbour's cat came over to play. Our cat was an *ss, as usual. Neighbour gave me some roses - it's been so cold, no idea how his roses are still blooming, the man must be a wizard. And this text from the s.o ends the day/night on a very high note. IP: Logged |

Free wi-fi in the waiting room at the hospital. At times, I've plugged headphones into my phone or my tablet, and watched netflix.Mum was also able to talk to my sister over Skype. It cheered her up the other day. There were other things, but I've forgotten them. IP: Logged |

We moved to a new place this weekend. Now that we're set up in here, it's even better, and bigger than I thought the first few times that I saw it. It's fabulous! Much more quiet and feels like home. I've been sleeping a lot better too. I waxed my baby (my fun car) and it looks great. So far everything is fantastic! The only exception is that it's time to return to work. Ugh. IP: Logged |

Congratulations, SV!!Mum handled her surgery really well. She's amazing. The nurses were telling her how great she looked, for having been through the huge surgery she had last week. IP: Logged |

I really wasn't sure where to put this. I kind of wanted to make a thread, here or elsewhere but it seemed unworthy of a new thread. I'm very picky about that as you see that I don't start many new threads. This is about something that I consider a gift. The good part is that it seems to always work, but sometimes it's mind blowing. I get "feelings" about people. Lately it's really been strong. I'm not sure what's going on but I feel like a sponge, or... something. I'm not sure how to describe it. This afternoon I was getting my hair cut. I'm usually not very talkative and this was no exception. For two reason, one I just don't like talking to strangers. The other, there's something very relaxing about it. I love to just sit there, in my head, someone touching my hair, watching the new look form. I like to look in the mirror and catch their face to see what they might be thinking about. That moment, either in a split second or for minutes when someone is distracted and lets their guard down. By that I mean, their facial muscles relax a little. They forget that someone may be watching and the real expression is visible. It can be in only a flash, but if you're watching, you'll see it. What kind of day they have had. A little sigh here or there, or whatever. She was very lost in her work of cutting my hair. I loved seeing the focus on her face. Well, I'm only rambling on and on here. Long story short, it wasn't that I felt any attraction or anything of that nature. I only had this overwhelming feeling of "This woman loves very deeply". It was almost as if someone had planted signs all around her. It was a VERY powerful feeling. Very, in your face type of feeling. I didn't get any other feelings like she might be in love with someone, or looking for love, or whatever. Only that when she loves, she loves hard, loves deep. Like love swallows her whole. It's really weird sometimes to get these kinds of impressions from people without any words. Like some kind of radiating energy coming off their bodies, their minds, their souls. IP: Logged |

Thank you! These sorts of things swirl around my head all of the time but for either voluntary or involuntary (feeling unable to convey into words) reasons they rarely extend beyond thought. IP: Logged |

Thank you. Still in the hospital - she's been there for three weeks now. They were talking about moving her to a nursing home, to recover from her hip surgery, but she has something going on around her lungs, so they just moved her to another floor. I forgot something else for "non-venting": I found a product called DripDrop, that was recommended in a group of people who deal with the same stomach condition that I have. I tried it the other night, and I felt good. I'll try it again in a little while, since I've had a rough night. It's for rehydration, better than gatorade or pedialyte, and created by the Mayo Clinic.

I forgot to add. I spoke to my sister a month ago, and we sort of made up. I don't know how this will work out, but for now, we're talking. I thought we'd never speak again, let alone be friendly. IP: Logged |
