LOL! I've been setting aside time each day to be silly. It's surprisingly helpful for stress relief. IP: Logged |

A friendship ended. On the face of it, that might sound bad. In the depths of it, it's a good thing. I've always had pretty good intuition but had a hard time trusting it. As I get older, therefore gain more life experience, my intuition keeps slapping me in the face with it's accuracy. So, as I get older, my confidence grows, in my intuition. I keep learning to trust it. It's weird to think about. Recently, as in very recently. I came across a situation that is identical in almost every way to another situation that I had before. Today, I solved that puzzle. Years ago, I used to hang out with this woman. Well I dated her for a short time. Not intending to play games. I liked her, but then, suddenly the lights went out and I didn't. Poor her. We remained close friends. Then one day she suddenly kept blowing me off. I thought it was strange. Until one of her family informed me that she started dating someone else. Feeling, guilty I suppose to be talking / hanging out with me. Yet, didn't want to tell me thinking that I'd be upset. It makes sense and on one hand, I get it. The thing is that I don't work like that. I work like this: "If talking to me (Or whatever) bothers you because you're with him, tell me. I'll be happy to respect that and give you space. Keep it hidden and play games. I'll give you all the space that you could possibly ask for." So why is this a "Nonvent"? Well, it's no skin off my back for one thing. I don't like people like that in my life. Most importantly though, I am learning to trust my intuition. Even from the beginning, even not having any of the story, my Virgo observed the "facts", my 12th put the facts together to arrive at a conclusion that wasn't quite complete, but damn close. I love it. If I doubt my gut, slap me. IP: Logged |

^ I sure will. Would help get out some of my latent rage too. I don't know what to say about your situation, though..as a third person.. Well, sometimes it can feel like a relief - realising that someone or something that's holding you back or that's no longer what it used to be, is not a looming presence anymore. I don't know if what you feel is relief or vindication of your instinct, or both or more.. But, either way..makes sense to have only those people in your life that you want there. Good for you, trusting your instincts more. I totally agree that it's better to listen to that voice in the back of your head that tells you when something's off. Many times, we know better, or we have an inkling that we shouldn't be doing something but we do it anyway..and it all goes to pot. So, you're right, listen to your gut! IP: Logged |

Btw, folks.. please wish me luck.. I'm going to need bushels of it. Got a major 'deciding moment' coming up. Everything leading up to it is going wrong. (My life is freakin' Murphy's law). But, I'm sort of ignoring all that and choosing to have blind faith for now. Fingers, toes, all crossed. IP: Logged |

When that direct deposit finally hits Starting to become financially stable. Although all I did was work this summer, I am proud of myself. I am proud of myself for sticking to my budget. I am proud of myself because I am becoming more responsible and self disciplined. I can say that I am starting to grow up, my party days are over and I stopped chasing after unavailable guys. It's been a month since I have gone no contact with my ex and hopefully I keep it up. IP: Logged |

I was spoke up for myself today. I was proactive and direct about what I needed. I didn't let anybody speak for me or talk over me. And the universe totally rewarded me for that.Someone close to me also reminded me of who I am, what I've accomplished and what I'm really capable of. Although it seems like I've been more sick over the past two years than I was before, I'm reminded that I've been sick for a while. I was sick when I was commuting 4 hours/day for college. I was sick when I sat for my licensing exam and passed it with 100% on the first try. I've been sick this entire time, but it hasn't kept me from doing what I wanted to do. I just had a goal in mind and I stayed focused on that no matter what. I had a tireless effort and an incredible work ethic in spite of the circumstances. I think I'll get back there, to that mindset, soon. I just have some more work to do. No quoting please. IP: Logged |
