Lately I have been doing the equivalent of a bowl cut and I love it. I just hope we don't have a cold winter down here. If you are really having a bad hair year just shave it off,lol.------------------ -- IP: Logged |

I kept mine so short for so many years, because I got so sick of people giving me terrible haircuts. So I would just walk around with super short, basically buzzed hair, and some sort of messenger cap or something.I've been growing it out for about two year now, but my hair is very big, so it's sort of like I can either grow it out long, or have it fairly short. Once in a blue moon, I get someone who cuts it right, but for now I'm just allowing it to be big, and longer. I still use my pomade on it to make it a bit more manageable, but I haven't been able to use the henna/indigo on it for a while, so I have a bride of Frankenstein streak, lol. More to the point, I gave up being a fashionista a few years ago, so now I don't really care as much, heh. I wear a lot less makeup, if any, and I just sort of let my hair do what it does. Wishing you happy hair, my Leo Asc friend! I hope all is well for you and yours. IP: Logged |

Couple of years back my daughter participated in the annual headshave at her school to raise $$ for Cancer. (So brave!) Her lovely hair (somewhat past her shoulders) brought back in a plastic bag.. Such a shame to waste..what to do with it? IDEA!! Watched You Tube vid on how to make hair extensions.. Wow! They turned out great. She wasn't interested though.Guess what? I WEAR THEM NOW !! Only on special occasions when I want to have a "great hair day" (we have same colour) My hair has gotten a bit thin over the years. When I put them in my hair looks abundant & I feel a bit "younger" lol IP: Logged |

My hair is long (well over two feet) and dry. It's very, very thick and prone to being curly...think Topanga's hair on Boy Meets World. I swear if I so much as look at it the wrong way, I get split ends...so of course it ends up becoming one big tangled rat's nest every morning.I have to admit...there are days or weeks where I just don't even mess with it. To not have a bad hair day requires hours of work and sometimes I just don't feel like putting in the effort. I mean I wash it, but as soon as it's semi-dry I put it in a bun or pony tail and leave it alone until the next washing. It drives me crazy though because I look like a completely different person when my hair is up than when it's down. However, this is kinda my fault...I ran out of detangler and coconut oil a while back and just haven't bought anymore. I love my long hair, but it so darn temperamental. IP: Logged | |
