I still have a little over a week of free time (though I hope to get in at least a day of camping in a lonely spot which might take up some of that time), with my sleep schedule a bit off, so for a little while I have some time and in an odd mood. The following move me deeply. They might you as well, but probably for different reasons, with different interpretations. Still, I feel like sharing, and hope others enjoy them, even if in a different way and understanding from me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=czyhsa2wuo0 How many years since you found yourself Staring at an endless sky? Unaware of yourself Who you are and where you're going Only living Only breathing Losing all sense of time The most fragile of things Captivates and embraces you Surrender and be witness To this rarest of moments You live within the sense of the order of things What is truth What is important What defines you No need to fear No need to worry About years that passed About time you lost Live seconds as a lifetime Time it does not matter You live within the sense Of the stillness of time x http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNy9rU7An00 (This is a fan vid rather than official video, but so much better than the official!) The deepest solace lies in understanding This ancient unseen stream A shudder before the beautiful Awake ocean born Behold this force Bring the outside in Explore the self to epiphany The very core of life Is soaring higher of truth and light The music of this awe Deep silence between the notes Deafens me with endless love This vagrant island Earth A pilgrim shining bright We are shuddering Before the beautiful Before the plentiful We're the voyagers Tales from the seas Cathedral of greed The very core of life Is soaring higher of truth and light The music of this awe Deep silence between the notes Deafens me with endless love This vagrant island Earth A pilgrim shining bright We are shuddering Before the beautiful Before the plentiful We're the voyagers The unknown The grand show The choir of the stars Interstellar Theater play The nebula curtain falls Imagination Evolution A species from the veil As we wander In search of The source of the tale The music of this awe Deep silence between the notes Deafens me with endless love This vagrant island Earth A pilgrim shining bright We are shuddering Before the beautiful Before the plentiful We're the voyagers x And this one has been particularly relevant to me of late, lyric wise, but I'm not up for saying why: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZWBH6xe1rAM For too long now There were secrets in my mind For too long now There were things I should have said In the darkness I was stumbling for the door To find a reason To find the time, the place, the hour Waiting for the winter sun And the cold light of day The misty ghosts of childhood fears The pressure is building and I can't stay away I throw myself into the sea Release the wave, let it wash over me To face the fear I once believed The tears of the dragon for you and for me Where I was I had wings that couldn't fly Where I was I had tears I couldn't cry My emotions Frozen in an icy lake I couldn't feel them Until the ice began to break I have no power over this You know I'm afraid The walls I built are crumbling The water is moving, I'm slipping away I throw myself into the sea Release the wave, let it wash over me To face the fear I once believed The tears of the dragon for you and for me IP: Logged |

Though for those into dreams of true love (not necessarily romantic), this one is sweet, the first one is Nightcore ⇢ I see your monsters (Lyrics): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0arvEmH88rU IP: Logged |

I was glad to hear this again (Winter by Tori Amos)...it may be a 2015 remastering, but it seems to me to be like the same song I heard as a teenager.I liked her older stuff...this one is surprisingly sweet, in my view: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eP2MpqtGCaQ x I suppose it's worth saying that I love the song Winter by Bella Morte as well, perhaps even more than by Tori Amos, but it's haunting, wistful, and a bit bleak. Beautiful, soulful sound, however, though I can understand why some would think of him as a moaning banshee (beautiful but sad, and perhaps a bad omen), so I'm not including that one here. I think it's a "goth specific" type of song, or those who can find beauty in a lonely beach on a cloudy day. IP: Logged |

I can find comfort in some disturbing songs, and I'm not inclined to share those here. But one who can mix them with positive energy is Lindsey Stirling. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49tpIMDy9BE&ab_channel=LindseyStirling Similar, like a faerie tale alternately dark and beautiful (and both), dreamlike, with almost no words at all (feels related to the above): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWn7PYm-W90&t=5s&ab_channel=LindseyStirling For those who'd like something more Christmas (and less disturbing), here's her electric violin for Joy to the World http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-OJSZLHTk-8&ab_channel=LindseyStirling
