I guess all the heavy transits finally broke through my usual optimism. At least it's something that I know. IP: Logged |

One can see the good with the bad (and bad with the good). It's not either/or. I don't understand why this concept is so hard for so many people to get, but I'm sick of it, and there's no way I'm going to choose an all bad or all good view on a broad subject or group just because some people want the world (and people in it) to be a lot simpler than it is or ever could be.That applies to about everything which is why I make this a general statement, though also to avoid "triggering" anyone by giving specific recent examples. Multiple exchanges about very different topics have inspired my venting here, but is not about anyone on this board (at least not in the last several weeks or months that I can recall right now), and I want to keep it that way. Just found out that my dog probably has cancer after all. A year ago, my vet said that, and then she asked someone for a second opinion, and he said it was a slipped disc. So we stopped panicking, and just tried to help him after his back legs stopped holding him up. He didn't take to a dog wheelchair, hasn't been using his front legs for months, and his appetite has lessened over the past week. He's had infections here and there, and I'm just numb. I don't believe in god. Someone ****** who would do this to innocent animals. IP: Logged |

I earn more money now but end up with less money at the end of the month. I have a hard time with discipline, my expenses have gone up, I will blow my paycheck for things like pleasure. I've always been a 'live in the moment' type of person, I have so much trouble saving money. Today I had to get real with my finances and realize that if I continue living this way, I won't be saving much and won't be able to go back to the motherland and spend Christmas with family. I'm frustrated because I want to travel but have a hard time saving up for it. Even if I do save up for it, I would just be able to afford a plane ticket.... I wish I wasn't so dumb about my finances. I wasn't poor when I was young, I was blessed financially but as soon as I hit my twenties and was granted full independence of my finances....boy was I a mess. I spent it on ALOT of things I shouldn't have and these past few years I had to start from scratch. I'm in a much better place now but it's discipline and stability that I struggle with. I tend to fluctuate alot and I wish I was more consistent. It takes alot of patience but I know I'll get back to where I was financially before I went broke (maybe even better than where I used to be). Hopefully I'll be set by my thirties and stop being having an 'I don't care, f*ck it mentality'. IP: Logged |

Summers almost over ------------------ Partial truth~the seeds of wisdom~can be found in many places...The seeds of wisdom are contained in all scriptures ever written… especially in art, music, and poetry and, above all, in Nature.

Okay does anyone else think it's rude when people ask "are you happy?" It's basically someone saying to your face "You don't seem happy."NO ONE IS ALWAYS HAPPY! Oh my GAWD!!!! What kind of question is that? I also don't like the question "are you having fun?" I translate that to "you don't seem like you are having fun." Maybe it's just my Scorpio moon taking things personal... Do I always have to take so much caffeine so I can be wired to talk a lot to people at the end of the day at work??? If I roll my eyes when I talk about my boyfriend sometimes, do I need to be asked if I am happy with him??? (This happened a year ago) If I am doing "something fun" do I have to be a Woo-girl about it??? NAAAAAA-WWWW I don't!!! I am a human being! stop making me feel like a freak if I am not a chatty, everything's great, Woo-girl! This pizzes me off! I don't get asked questions like this a lot. But it really grinds my gears, and gets to me. IP: Logged |

My job is instituting mandatory overtime and on call hours again. Ugh. I filled out an exemption request this morning. I have no idea if they will approve it or not. It's times like these when I wish I owned my own business or worked for a better company or in another industry altogether... IP: Logged |

Ugh I hate when places do that. It can get to a point where it’s not worth the extra money! Makes it harder to find a new job too! Keep us updated! IP: Logged |

So I put in For my last PTO day I have left at work. (Don’t be startled, it’s for the school year)When I put in for PTO the first time I realized I still have a day left since the Friday fell on Good Friday and being at a Christian school I already get Good Friday as paid holiday. So I was all like “so I have one day left!” The director then informed me that I will still get paid if I don’t use them. Um thanks, but why would I do that? Though I am new to having benefits like this, I did know that. I figure she is just doing her job. SARCASM TIME: oh thank you so much for telling me, I don’t want to be forced to have a life outside of this place. I was so worried you would catch me not having a life and tell me I have to leave and enjoy myself! I put in for my last PTO in March Director reminds me AGAIN that I will get paid even if I don’t use all my time. Hahaha wtf? 👏🏼I👏🏼am👏🏼NOT👏🏼a👏🏼suckerr....👏🏼 I kind of just stood there and said nothing. Director continues to say “it’s up to you though...” DAMN STRAIGHT IT IS IP: Logged |
