We get black skies here often. A few stars but some I wonder if they are satellites.
I watch youtube for the events I miss out on.

Voix I hope you are doing very well there.

Glad to hear you've been safe from the flooding Moonmystic. That's weird about the sky, do you mean it's because it's winter or is this something that has been happening to your skies all the time?

The weather here changes in the blink of an eye, no matter what time of year!

I have a friend who constantly rains on my parade when I think I've seen a 'giant star'. He's like, "It's a satellite, Voix"

I am doing OK thanks. Always room for improvement though!

Voix,

Thank you! ♡

Yes, winter is dark in the northern skies.
Especially where too many city lights detract us from the lustre of true stars. I was lol at your friend. What a party pooper huh? Those pesky satellites are far too many. Mr Musk sent several up too. This year many observed those, believing they were true twinkling stars. How disappointing.

As a young girl, my nights under a starry night - nothing matched that. I miss that!
We instinctively are drawn to them. They are home.

Improvement? Nah .. you're perfect as you are - unless you wish to improve, that is a choice of course. 🌸

I am grateful that our library is doing “food for fines” again. I can never make it to a food bank when they’re open, in order to donate, so this helps me to donate locally. I’ve also bought one of those pre-packed bags of food at the grocery store, when I can afford to, and they deliver it.

@Moon Mystic *hug!*

I always love the spring time too! I love hearing all the plants come out of the ground when I stay up too late into the early morning. Or even with March being overall chilly here, just the littlest things like it not getting dark til 7pm makes all the difference!

I need to try both on, and make sure they're really okay, but I finally found some waterproof winter boots tonight. On sale, still expensive unfortunately, but I need them. I also bought some wool gloves, and a wool hat - I don't know if I've ever had one (as an adult), and they're cute. I wanted something cute, and they were half price, so I got it (the colour matched the gloves).

I need to get some clothes - mine are falling apart, or ragged. I've been carrying around birthday money, for clothes, and used that on the boots. I spent part of it on a bag of food for the food bank.

Oh, I missed posts. I need to try yoga again. I'm not doing *anything*. I bought the winter boots, so that I could walk my dogs in the snow and ice, and needed the gloves, too. I want to walk more by myself, too, in the snow and cold - I don't like it, but I do enjoy the snow at times, and I just need more fresh air, and to get out of the house without being around anyone else. I mostly shop in the last hour or so of a store being open, to avoid crowds of people.

I'm really trying to generate a bit of Christmas spirit. I'm not feeling it at all, but I want to. I'm going to go through my cupboards, and get together food for the library, since I can never get to the food bank. That one afternoon that I was with my dad, he was rushing as usual, and that line was *long*.

I think this is my favourite thing from the whole year. The whole thread is just beautiful, and I wish we’d heard about more things like this.

I think Voix mentioned this in GU. The thread has more to it, than the posts I saw on Instagram.

That is so sweet. I've seen those stories similar pre covid. There was a girl fighting cancer, a couple years ago, I saw too.

On the funny side - as a little one, when my friend revealed Santa was not real, I was so angry at my family. Funny in this era it's like a catfish. Haha not HoHoHo

The Fairy Catfish.

One of my best friends (also from LL), sent me soaps that she made, and Christmas cookies. they arrived late, because of the mail being so slow. She is so talented, though.

Currently, I am thankful for a Saturn-driven depression that is telling me I am ( in some way) going in the wrong direction.

Me too Graham Although you're doing better than me at being thankful for it. It's a minefield at times knowing what to allow and what to resist.

I have been through it only twice in my life before this. ... The first time, the depression lifted when I finally recognised that my career required a change of direction. And the second time, the depression lifted when I recognised that my direction required a change of career.

Hence, my guess is that the current depression will lift if/when I recognise the direction in which the 2020 Jupiter-Saturn conjunction is impelling me to go.

That's good that you have a map to navigate this time. I hope you feel better soon.

I’m feeling grateful for teachers in general, and a decent first day of in-person kindergarten in particular.
