I had a Beautiful day yesterday.. so peaceful inside. Everything seemed perfect as-it-is.

Also had a kind of inner-healing that came as surprise on my long bus trip home. Hard to review some things that were psyche-wounds I hadn't realize was still there, running like a computer program that you don't know was active. (So VERY surprising ,, WAY back from midteen years,, something that was like another layer of sand-abrasions to be scraped, like an onion peeling another skin-layer. Handling onions can bring out tears-- good antiseptic-washes.)

Amazing.. the things we still hold onto, that still can hurt from a relatively small slice of time 50 years ago.

# Let it Be. Still Beautiful.
What happened was a set-up.

Montecristo! .. Your words reminded me of this.

Hey Mirage

After many years I returned to the PTSD support group I go to. There was some provocation that pushed me, but I guess that does mean some things will haunt me for the rest of my life.

That does't mean I'm a victim. I don't see myself as one, and glad for it, as I think it would be self-harming if I did. And though there are horrors that haunt me, there is beauty as well (and I was just wondering how some people I helped long ago turned out, their life a bit better because of me, at least for a moment).

And there are moments that will be pleasant to remember as my life flashes before my eyes (assuming I have that experience), from where flowers and trees waved around me as the wind rustled my clothes while I "drank in" the sunshine, to the first time I tried windsurfing which was ineffably exhilarating (and as I did, the sun broke through the clouds turning the grey ocean into a sparkling blue). Just two simple examples.

Anyway, I tried to find a really beautiful song that shared the same theme as your Mr. Rogers vid (on a global scale, and such a soothing voice), but simply can't. She's not a well known singer and I think she's been "pushed aside" for more popular ones in the search algorithms (and a strange malfunction caused me to lose my old YT channel a few years ago so I can't find it that way).

So I'll leave you with this, and hope it puts a smile on your face:

I am so lucky to have people in my life that believe in me, want me to succeed and care about me. I am lucky enough to work with somebody like this.

Cannot get any more here at the moment......and no idea when we can....once our package is gone it will be seriously nasty ugh here.
Rags? I mean wtf can be done?

All in all I am thankful to still be alive even though quarantined and sick.

Thankful for the company of my husband and our cats.

Thankful Spring is coming; been so cold; tired of freezing/no furnace.

Thankful that mail ordering groceries kind of still works even with severe shortages in our area....
sigh;
shortages of especially toilet paper; milk; eggs; bread......
Thankful for what we have but afraid of not being able to get certain needed things or restock when we run out of what we have.
VERY THANKFUL FOR MAIL/DELIVERY;
Bless Fedex and UPS and the USPS!
Without them and ATM and credit;
we would be in very serious trouble during this COVID-19 pandemic.
Thankful for credit but it will run out too if this pandemic lasts too much longer.
Thankful nevertheless for surviving all of this even though we have been sick for almost 2 months now.
Thankful for Netflix and internet during the almost two months mostly bed bound.
Thankful that our neurologist is helping via phone and not having us come in to him during this pandemic; and has renewed our prescriptions.
Thankful for drive through at Drug Mart for our seriously needed prescriptions and that except for the RX/bag
no physical contact required; including no signing and touching their pen; just have to give permission to have them OK it.
Thankful that most folks are behaving and not causing trouble during this pandemic.

I realize I have been on LL for almost 10 years. This is totally a place where I feel safe to pretty much talk about anything. Grateful for LL and it's members.

Vertigo was actually the silver lining to this week. It forced me to stop focusing on upsetting things, and take care of myself. Last night, I sat in a dark room and watched Netflix. I didn’t feel hemmed in or depressed. Just clear and quiet. It was the best I’ve felt all week.

I’m also grateful that two sets of murderers were arrested this week. The second lot should have been arrested months ago.

Agreed. The person who filmed the murder should have been arrested immediately.

My dad. We have our disagreements, but he's really thoughtful, and goes beyond what he should, at times. Not only for me, but for others. Last night, it wasn't "beyond" but he helped a woman who looked lost, in the parking lot of the grocery store. She was confused, and he helped her. That's my dad.

Since I have no appetite, he also bought me a huge bag of juicing carrots (and a couple of things to juice with them), and some puddings, noosa yogurt, things that will be easy on my stomach, that I don't have to cook.

My friend A. is home from the hospital, and they're trying to figure out the right dosages to keep the fluid off him. He has congestive heart failure, and his kidneys were failing. I emailed him earlier, and will send a card this week.

I just woke up having a panic attack, but it eased faster than I thought it would. I rarely have actual panic attacks now, but I know how to deal, when they happen.
