Seriously thinking should i have kids or not. I already own a perfect place and secured job and education is free but private education is better quality ... only one thing is stopping me.. i can overcome it easily if i really wanted kids.Anyway im still contemplating Anyone have an idea about having kids, Should we make it a priority? will it take some of my freedom? I disagree. A lot of people aren't mentally healthy enough to be supportive and loving parents. And I think it is selfish to have kids when you aren't in that place where you can give that. IP: Logged |

There are a lot of things even many doctors won't tell you. Research it carefully, including where people speak frankly rather than saying what they think they're supposed to say. Be aware that many will lie to you to manipulate you rather than to help you make an informed decision best for yourself, and sometimes that means scaring you, sometimes it means not telling you a danger or even likely hazard until it's too late (and more to add to the bills) at which point they'll say something about it to show they knew but didn't tell you (though many feel compelled to suffer in silence, thinking they are alone rather than sharing a common experience, and perhaps it's worse for them). Unfortunately, even teachers, family, and friends can be guilty of this. Also beware of having kids out of a sense of obligation, as that can be a path of bitterness for you and your kids. And also those who try to scare you into having kids "now or never." A lot of the information is a legal scam by corporations, in addition to others who have their own reasons. It may sound like I'm against having kids, but I'm not. I do think it's something to consider carefully, and it's not for everyone. I know even the nation I was in would be a factor. IP: Logged |

My point was bad parenting makes it nearly impossible to have self esteem and good social skills, among other things. People who aren't ready to have kids shouldn't have them. If they can't give their kids what they need to be healthy and whole they shouldn't bring more damaged people to earth. IP: Logged |
