Are we straying from title of this thread? Pallas, Vesta, Eros, Kallisto etc., are ASTEROIDS and not FIXED STARS.

PART OF SPIRIT

ANGLES

---

Orbs to the fixed stars should be kept super, super tight (<1°, some even recommend <0°30'), and the power of a star is amplified when the aspecting planet is associated with the star in question. Angles and other points are much weaker at manifesting a star's energy than any of the personal planets. They are best activated through transits or progressions.

The planet on a star should be checked for major harmonious or stressful aspects to the planets associated with the star, too. This will give insight to whether a star will manifest strongly, if it will be beneficial, or act as a malefic.

Lastly, house placements and rulerships of the aspecting planet should be taken into account, too.

Consider a fixed star as clothing. A sparkly dress or ragged pants that give your planet character. You can still have a generous and noble VENUS, just with nasty duds, who can't afford a new skirt and is thusly judged. Or a spruced up MARS in royal arms, who is still too lazy to go anywhere in life, so chronically squanders his opportunities.

My Saturn is conjunct Vertex (Andromeda Galaxy) exact. It's also afflicted by Mars; I don't want a hideous death

Mirach is on my DSC exact. Good fortune through marriage sounds nice.

Aldebaran is on my Moon and Vertex exact.
Polaris and Betelgeuse is next to my POF by one degree.

My N.N. in Leo is on "my own worst enemy". This doesn't even sound valid in any sort of circumstances, it is just there. ???
Let's just use Sabian Symbols and say that my NN is on the 23 degree.

My Pluto is on Antares exact. Strange...

My Chiron is on Yed Prior. I am having success in astrology so...

My Mercury is on Tarazed, Sham, Albireo, and Altair exact. My Neptune is as well, except for Tarazed.

Uranus on Albali exact.

Venus on Gienah by one degree.

That's all. Hmm...

Scorpio Ascendant
Aquarius Sun in 4th
Gemini Moon in 8th

Wow, I never looked into this.

I have Spica conjunct Sun at 0°.

Interpretation, if any of you guys have this too:

quote:
Fixed star Spica, Alpha Virginis, is a blue giant star, the brightest star in the Virgo constellation. It’s virtually the same brightness as Antares in the constellation Scorpius. Fixed star Spica is of the nature of Venus and Mars. It gives success, renown, riches, a sweet disposition, love of art and science, unscrupulousness, unfruitfulness and injustice to innocence. Spica, is the one which gave us our word ‘star’. The considerable distance between Spica and its nearest neighbors has inspired some cultures to call it ‘The Lonely One’ and names like that.
As the star of the grain harvest, it is the provider of our material needs, and indeed it does always show up well in that respect. There is, however, a word of warning to go with it: We only reap harvest if we have first sown the seed and cared for the fields. To Spica are ascribed honors and fame. Spica is of marked good fortune for scientists, writers, artist-painters, sculptors and musicians. If Spica is on the Asc or Meridian and conjunction Jupiter and Venus, promise is given even to people of humble origins to enjoy protection, preferment and even wealth. In conjunction with Mercury or Venus and positioned on the Meridian or Asc, Spica gives artistic skill, drawing ability, musical talent and a good sense for literature and the sciences.
However, if Spica is placed in angular houses and conjoined with Saturn, Mars, Uranus, Neptune or Pluto, and if these planets are afflicted, a rise followed by a downfall with tragic ending could be the result. In 1923, when, as a result of inflation in Germany, many people became poverty stricken, Spica was bound up with Saturn. In a personal cosmogram, Spica means refinement. Such people have a noble bearing. Increased erotic tension, usually given with a Venus-Mars interpretation, is not the case with Spica, but a tendency to sublimate these powers and turn them into artistic and creative channels is indicated.

Also have Arcturus conjunct Sun, at 0° and mars - but wider.
Don't know if exact squares and/or oppositions count, but there are quite a few of those too. Anyone know how to interpret those?

Arcturus seems to be "darker" than Spica. :

quote:
Fixed star Arcturus is a golden red star situated on the left knee of constellation Bootes. The two most fortune stars in the sky, Spica and Arcturus, are very close in longitude. While Spica is sweet and innocent, Arcturus is more apt at dealing with the darker aspects of life on earth.
Fixed star Arcturus is of the nature of Mars and Jupiter. It gives riches, honors, high renown, self-determination and prosperity by navigation and voyages.

You apply the forward one, which is in the same degree. Your Sun moved into 23rd degree so Agena.
And I think Lilly's advice was to resolve the dilemma on behalf of the more fortunate star.
