I know this an old thread but trying to keep topics in the same place.Nonetheless, Just to clarify. In synastry, a connection to nessus causes obsession but ONLY by the personal planet, right? My venus conjuncted an ex's nessus by 2degree. I was obsessed. I finally let him go. I wonder if he was ever obsessed with me? IP: Logged |

Thank you Ami,BTW- I read about your situation of nessus and your sun. I am sorry...I have felt your pain and it sucks sucks sucks. Even though he didn't dump me...it was extremely hard to let him go...he is still in my skin though. Since you have been through it...what are some of the things you did to heal yourself? I have not seen it in charts and so could only guess that the Nessus person would be very critical/abusive of the goals of the Mars person.
You tell me if you have it lol

It's actually been the opposite in my experience. IP: Logged |

I think nessus conjunct mars in synastry can lead to rivelry, competitivess, jealousy but if addressed can turn into admiration and competitiveness that leads to growth instead of insecurity and petty jealousy...it takes maturity to do something with that energy that raises you instead of falling victim of it, leading to empowerment as opposed to disempowerment.IP: Logged |

How close an orb do you use for Nessus conjunction? I have Nessus at 26'57 Gemini and due where my planets fall & my MC at 29 Gem, I have attracted lots of folks with Rising and personal planets in late Gemini. I would have to say in my view, I am not the shady one in the situation. That all of these folks (particularly with the ASC) did damaging things towards ME while acting as my friends. The ASC ones were always trying to get something from me - they always wanted what I had & were trying to maneuver to get it. I have a longtime female friends with Venus/Saturn & her own Nessus on/near my Nessus who's a good friend now but when we were young, she was ALWAYS trying to hook up with my boyfriends behind my back. Yikes! Definitely a weird element of competition between the females connections. I know a Male with Venus & Saturn with a slightly larger orb (born a few days earlier than previous friend) & we've always had weird interactions. Friends tried to set us up - there was an attraction (more on his end) but it always went haywire which I always attributed it to other things before Nessus. Due to the amount of weirdness, I think we both consider each other a "no fly zone" for different reasons. We don't speak anymore. Hmmm....

2 degrees is wide. 3 is fudging but I do go this far but exact to 1 degree is really what counts imo------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? Check Me Out, DUDE. http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

I have a situation where His Nessus trines my Venus, and my Nessus opposes his Venus. I wondered if this would be obsessive in nature.IP: Logged |

Hard aspects, in my experience are the real hooks with NESSUS. The dual aspect, in your case, could lend itself to something, but it depends upon orb. NESSUS moves so slowly; I prefer to keep it very tight: about 1°30 at most, unless it's heavily configured. Then I can expand to 2° comfortably enough. IP: Logged |
