Conspiracy stuff! Not to ruin our fun, but...I just recalled that IQ included Annie Lennox in one of his lists of celebrities that have been 'compromised' in some way...that she is said to be a reptilian shapeshifter, by some. ...Poop--why does everything have to get ruined! I can't just throw Annie Lennox out with the trash--come on, now!

...Then I thought of our serpent-eating-its-tail theme... Zoinks! Reptilian mindset alert! Well, we all DO have base reptilian brains... I can't throw Jake the Snake under the bus.

Meh--Carry on!

DEVOlution!! Are We Not Men? - NO!

Sheesh, Jovian!! 'Izn't nuthin sacred anymore???' I gues it really aint...

It's like my little brother who simply could NOT resist demolishing my architectural card structures, tinker-toys, lincoln logs, or anything I'd try to build for myself.

Hard to learn that having anything for and to myself was taboo-- was viciously taken away, or torn down by others. It was way-okay to attract it but not to keep some for myself! Maybe someday I'll get it... they don't want to give you a chance!
Guess that's the curse of a lot of 8th house planets... 'others' just help themselves to all you got. Must learn that world 'materials' are not mine... basically what's mine is theirs and what's theirs is theirs--- never mix the two, don't forget it...

Ooh, Mirage... Also look into Devo for style influences for our future band...though I draw the line at the red plastic hats from their early days! Hmmm...or SHOULD we have fun hats of some kind?

Devo - Whip It
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xbt30UnzRWw

Ooh my--haven't heard 'They're coming to Take Me Away' in years!!

...For the record, I would consider myself more a conspiracy theorist than not. ...How else to explain things? Have read about the whole gamut of stranger-than-fiction things going on on this planet, for years. Even went to see David Icke speak once. At this point, nothing "woo-woo," as IQ says, surprises me--I've heard it all. Our souls have experienced more than we can recall, across our lifetimes, no?

...Now, though, realizing indeed that ANYTHING is possible in our rounds of physical excursions--the good, the bad, the ugly--what can one do, but continue to work on oneself and hopefully contribute to better vibes here, and enjoy the beauty and fun...and even scariness...that is here? It's a mad, mad, mad world...and a beautiful one.

'Tis, in the end, a dream,...a...mirage, even.

...Speaking of hats and weird songs...I am reminded of Men Without Hats - Safety Dance

We can dance if we want to, we can leave your friends behind. 'Cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance, well they're no friends of mine!

Our possible ensemble name - Ouroboros - reminded me the amazing dance troupe, Pilobolus. You've probably seen them in car commercials. I was lucky to see them live once, years ago. If they come to a city near you--go! ...Because everyone must like what I like, of course! X^p

Author Thomas Moore (1940--) wrote the book Soul Mates : Honoring the Mysteries of Love and Relationship.

In the chapter on "The Intimate Imagination," he explores ideas on the relationships of soul love, and desire.

quote:
Thomas Moore - "Our thoughts about not getting into trouble, being foolish, or making a mistake get in the way of love." (p.152-153)
Moore says "...from the soul point of view, our madness is sanity, and so we embrace it." (p.154)

Jovian! Oh wow!... I just loved the "Symbiosis" clip by Pilobolus: described as a performance merging dance and biology-- it's incredible! Never saw that kind of 'intertwining entertainment' performed outside of television ice-skating competition. Philobolus has breathtaking moves!

How Incredibly Beautiful...

"Our thoughts about not getting into trouble, being foolish, or making a mistake get in the way of love."

...Are you reminding me of this because of my statement of us "getting into trouble" and going to detention for our...emm...sex talk??

In any case, I am so glad to have someone remind me of this. I--as most of us do--constantly see-saw...expressing ourselves freely, then pulling back in fear. Hmm...in some types of expression, it may be my Neptune-Saturn opposition contributing to the back-and-forth. That it is you reminding me I especially value. ...You know--in addition to your Uranus being on my Moon, your Angel is there, too!

....

Regarding posting images, you have to get a free account somewhere, to upload stuff to. The one suggested by LL is photobucket. At the top of each one of the boards here, near the upper-left, above the list of all the threads, is a small link to "Lindaland Search Engine." There are basic instructions at that page.

Here is the page, in case you can't find:
http://www.linda-goodman.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ubbmisc.c gi?action=getannounce&ForumNumber=28&Start=2455978.99&End=2457773&Session=

I set up a photobucket account. Seems easy enough to use.

...I don't know what >3 is?? Perhaps you are meaning <3 ...Which suggests a heart, in the current internet symbol parlance! Or, to those in the dark, I guess "I <3 you" could mean "I less than three you!"

<3

...This reminds me of when I was younger, seeing the "I NY" t-shirts for the first time...and not for the life of me being able to figure out WHAT it meant! For being so smart, that seems really dumb. I was good at puzzles, etc., but was stumped by this. I "heartny"? Was it some word I didn't know?? God--didn't I know that NY was the abbreviation for New York? I think just not having the proper "." after the N and the Y was enough to block the recognition from my brain.

Hey Jovian, and everyone...

So sorry for the recent "absences"-- I don't have access to the computer all the time. Today was a workday. Was able to multi-task and got to take peeks here.

Jovian, I really should have been more active with responding to you. If only I could have typed out all the thoughts I had! We would have had a RIOT!! Never meant for my silence to be read as an abandonment or disapproval... my bad. I know how "silly" it can feel without anyone responding... yikes.

On one of my infamous poofed posts I told about some body issues going on with me. Remember my post about my bad day on the bus? It was a trip to my doctor. After years on thyroid replacement hormone, the T-4 went too high and needed to be reduced; hormone T-3 needed to be raised. Bloodtests "officially" confirmed that I'm finally in menopause, and hormones gone wacky like my body thinks it's pregnant---and there AIN'T no way of that! So I've been feeling like I've got morningsickness much of the time and I've been feeling like crap. AND I want to socialize! Now that you've gotten to know me better I think you're perhaps sensing (noticing) when I clip my words too hard? It's just nausea and so hard to concentrate. My head will be pounding and body aches. I need a spa!!! (doc says it's the chemistry, I'm guessing it's stress, and transits mostly?)

Jovian, your posts are PACKED with awesome stuff!

I don't have a wordprocessor, and sometimes I just want to have that easy flow of words stream out through my fingers onto this screen. When I realize mistakes and try to stop and fix it? Well, I find my posts can lose a type of coherency. The mood or voice can change from playful to serious. Too many ideas and it wrecks the whole thing, dammit! Need to write, let it breathe, then come back to make sure I said what I think I said...

In the past I could write some really pithy abstracts... but then that makes me too science-y and robot-like. Don't want to rifle you with line upon line of facts, info, ref books, and urls. That is SOOO hard for me to resist. I see so many opportunities, but it's more like I'm trying to fill a teaspoon using a firehose! NOT the way to go. Then also I can feel sooo intimidated-- yes!

You are important to me....

so.... blechky-blah-blah ack-ack | ack-ack-ack

from 'Independence Day' ... come down here with an attitude, actin' all big and bad... and what the hell is that smell?

Jovian QUOTE: " You know--in addition to your Uranus being on my Moon, your Angel is there, too! "

Yes, my transiting Angel of course.
Well, did you also know that in my natal chart, Vertex is conjunct Uranus, with Venus quintile to Uranus. Yes Jovian, it's how I get connected with fascinating and strange people with a kinky sense of humor. (and I'm lovin' it!!)

In this past week I've visited some synastry sites. I hadn't dug too far into that part of astrology yet. Somewhere you had a link that took me towards cafeastrology website. Wow! Awesome place. Forgot it was there. I'd been there a few years ago, but now that I understand sooo much more astrology it'll stick better in my brain. I'll feel better participating in such discussions. I DO recall having gone into some depth with Eros and other 'love' asteroids before. Pandora and Kassandra. Hidalgo. Medical asteroids. Found Vesta + Industria were very significant for employment in one person's chart I watched.

I LOVE to watch effects of transits--- I made a chart for the country GREECE from info in articles I've come across. What an interesting chart! Like to watch NASA, and leaders in my country. Local court case. I think I have a feel for Theseus-- not exactly the same perspective as what I've read. Also same for Nemesis and Niobe, and Eris. I think I need more time to think before I share on these...

Led me to mythology and archetypes for a while. REALLY loved that. The Robert Moore (b.1940) book on Soulmates, Care of the Soul, and Dark Eros, also took me to James Hillman's The Soul's Code, and Force of Character. Found W. Scott Peck and found very useful stories through him. Of course I love the Catholic mystics-- John of the Cross above all. - e

Mirage/Maria, my dear friend!

Gosh--so sorry you are dealing with that thyroid business. I just recently met a nice young woman who is having hers removed next week. Ugh. ...No--you have not been curt or short in your expression here ?? I wish I could help you in some way. I am getting verklempt thinking about your suffering, there.

...Pregnant? You never know! ANYTHING is possible. I'm sure there are cases of "immaculate conception" that are out there, though our current scientific paradigms don't allow us to believe it!

Not your transiting Angel... I mean your permanent Angel! 11911 Angel is smack in the mix with your Uranus/Vertex, AND your Ceres is at the opposite side (Anti-Vertex), ALL within 1/2 degree!

There is much I'd like to say right now in response to your post, as well, but I really have to discipline myself and make progress on creating some $$ in my life in the daylight hours.

RE: asteroid research. Why don't you start a topic on something? I was thinking of such a thing, myself. Personally, I do enjoy seeing such research, confirming of the validity of astrology. ...And I love your "peripheral" thinking! Hmm...why do you think you were drawn to look at Greece, among other things? ...Mirage, if I may say so...if I can go on here, with whatever comes up in my whackadoodle mind, then you surely must also share your ideas if you are moved. I hope you do introduce some research here. There are countless threads here, that people start on a whim. (Perhaps such freedom is part of what makes this place wonderful.) Surely, your ideas are just as interesting/useful, if not moreso, than many of them--not that we need to compare! Even if you find no others immediately interested in what you share, I think if you are *feeling* it, you should just let it roll out of you. Some day, someone will find some bit of value for themselves in what you've come up with.

...What are you meaning when you say you don't have a word processor? Do you mean there is no program of any kind on your friend's computer to draft things in? If you go to Programs, there should be the Accessories folder, in which there should be Note Pad and/or Word Pad to work in if it is a PC, no? As well, hmm...what about crafting something within an email draft to yourself, or something? You can keep saving, so as not to lose, until you are ready to post?

Jovian, You're really wonderful to me, as usual....

Wow! Thank you sooo much for showing me 11911 ANGEL 24can38'38" in 8th.

Asteroid ANGEL (1992 LF) ---
JPL Small-Body Database Browser information shows that ANGEL was named after telescope innovator Roger Angel (b.1941). He discovered a process called spin-casting that uses mirrors to increase the light-gathering power of telescopes. http://ssd.jpl.nasa.gov/sbdb.cgi?sstr=11911

Wow! ..I think we need to get a room. Speaking of…per your comment in your last post that you wished we could speak further,…since this place has no chat capability, I went ahead and set up an email address! Ok…I’m not gonna spit it out exactly, because I don’t want any scraping bots or whatever to find me… it is astro followed by jovian (no spaces between) at yahoo … Cool, huh? A note from you would christen it! Write it down now—I may edit later. And let me know here that you got it...or send me a quick email, okay?

You are introducing me to all this pop culture that I missed! I had only seen Lesley Ann Warren in some Mel Brooks movie. …Juice Newton, however—I have several of her songs on my mp3 player, including Angel of the Morning!

Soothing, nurturing…yes, yes. A bridge over troubled waters.

Simon & Garfunkel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjNgn4r6SOA

...Well, that could be my Moon talking about its connection with you there! (Moon is at 24.31!) Well, that IS a significant point for you, isn't it? The only thing close to mine so far is Logos, a bit over one degree away.

I like Lynn Koiner’s stuff. She’s very scientifically minded—no messing around! I’d never come across that concept of what the Vertex signifies. Gives it some significance, eh? Hmm…Mine would be just 5 minutes from being in Leo, so I’d go that way…however, it is also conjunct Point of Fortune in Cancer. As well, the description of Vertex in Leo —

“In this lifetime, you must learn to get personally involved so that you gain recognition for yourself and not share the glory with the group. You are to learn to be creative and to cultivate Self-Expression and Willpower. The tendency is to fade into a group rather than individualize. Individualization is the task at hand. A personal approach to dealing with people is needed rather than a detached and objective orientation.”

…Well, this is interesting, as my South Node is in Leo …and I’d been trying to keep in mind the idea of moving towards my Aquarian North Node…and away from such “kingly” qualities of the past. …Hmm…maybe my past as a leader is not so black-and-white. I had found great value in the past in studying my North Node description—sign AND house-- in Jan Spiller’s book, Astrology for the Soul.

Hmm...now Despina is on the cusp here, as well, with her Vertex. Is it Taurus or Gemini? …Where IS that girl, anyway? We really need to get to rehearsing. …Dear—I hope she hasn’t finally done away with you-know-who. Hmm…something Plutonian, yet not too ugly—her Pisces sun and all couldn’t handle that. …Poison, perhaps? Seriously, though…I hope she lets us know she’s alright. …Oh yes—she did suggest some good Pluto-Venus relationship chat. We’ll have to get to that when she returns!

What’s that note at the bottom of your message? Some book about 2012, by Findhorn Press? Ha--didn’t know Findhorn had its own press...very cool.

You probably know about "astrologer" Dane Rudhyar, (Paris, March 23, 1895-September 13, 1985).
But did you also know he was a published and recorded composer of music? Title of one of his pieces was called OURANOS. And in case you didn't know,

Yes, my love--but of course we are having fun!! 'Tis true--maybe my Mars/Lust in third (Mercury) house is getting off on this... HA!

Oh, you just love me because your North Node is on my Mercury... Hey--watch where you're sticking that thing, anyway! Well, I can't talk, for my Moon is on Uranus... D'oh! You knew THAT was coming!

Hmm...do you think our passion for one another is making others shy about joining in? It's true--if someone is brave enough to jump into our little rumpus here, it will then have to be classified as an orgy.

Oooh… Curses! I missed the rump reference! Nice.

Now WHY are you dragon Jake into this? Alma god--Are you Sirius?! Is this really Nessusary? You and your twisting, serpentine tails! I can’t help it if I’m a Great Attractor! Though Io you no explanation, Despina will certainly Bacchus up on this one--there is NOTHING going on between Jake and I!

“Churning skies of roiling clouds compel the attention of even casual visitiors. Jupiter’s face is an opaque seething mask, ever changing, revealing nothing of the small dense core tens of thousands of miles below.” Oooh yeah--that's my namesake, for ya. ...AND with 63 moons in its orbit.

You know--at the end of my last reply, I was going to say something about this thread having "left earth's orbit!" ...And here you are, with your outer space references!

Wow--that one of the flight at 70,000 ft (13 miles) was neat. Indeed, I was moved. ...We've been out there, some time, some where, my friend.

So what'r you sayin' ...the game is over?

Aww jeez. …Yer embarrassin’ me with that mushy stuff!

Not really. You made me laugh…and I needed a laugh. Feeling rather low today. I was considering that there must be something I’m not seeing or acknowledging about myself, that keeps me with this tendency to get into a depressive mood. …Finally stopped to try to consider astrological influences, and was looking up that Neptune square to my Neptune-Saturn opposition. *Somehow*, I reached the description at Strange House about natal Neptune-Saturn, instead of transits. Contemplating that description was quite helpful, as I’d never really paid attention to the aspect. I was apparently meant to read it. This current Neptune transit is apparently highlighting that natal clash.

Transitting Neptune Square Saturn:

“Some people start questioning whether anything in their life has any value at all. It is very important during this transit not to isolate yourself. Otherwise, its effects can be very unpleasant.”
http://astrotransits.com/aspects/nataltransits/Neptune/square/php/Neptune_square_Sa turn.php

Isolate myself? Not me!!

As well, was reading description of Natal Jupiter-Mars square. Well, if that wasn’t a wake up call.

“Your Mars square Jupiter indicates that it is essential for you to discipline yourself in using your abundant physical and intellectual resources. Everything you do must be planned, or you will waste a lot of energy in nonproductive enterprises. You want to emulate those you admire for their professional accomplishments, but you may not be willing to endure all the hard work required to succeed. You make valiant efforts to acquire knowledge, but when there is no immediate reward you quickly lose interest.”
http://www.strangehouse.com/natal-aspects/jupiter-square-mars-2.html

Wasting a lot of energy in nonproductive enterprises? Wha? Who, me?

Nelson Eddy? …Say, are you really only 57? These tunes keep getting older! Thanks for the sentiment, though!

Well, here’s an old chart-topper. Though I probably only know it because I’m from New Jersey, and they use it for the lottery song!

aawww Jovian, sorry to hear your a bit blue tonight. So, it's okay to rest and get away from 'things', and separate the things that belong to others from the things that are special to you. (Cancer moon needs time alone to sort those things out). I'm with you in thought...

Sometimes I'll light a candle when I feel like that, or feel all alone. I remember there's a bigger reason for the existence of me as a person. The qualities of the fire and the light are "clean" reminders of "who" I am, and 'who I am' holds the original intent and purpose of my soul. I take solace in the knowledge that I can't help being "who" I deeply am, whether I feel it, whether or not people notice it, 'I' am 'what I got'... and that's a really GOOD thing. It's good to have a purpose. When my little mind can't remember, my deep-soul never forgets. Then sometimes Jovian, I'll also begin to notice a sense of the Collective around me-- other incarnated souls, with whom I AM in contact on some layer or level, whether I've met them or not, and that larger Cloud of Witnesses-- the souls who have gone before us cheering us on. I feel bigger when that happens, I'll feel small yet more mature then. And even if I forget myself and get snarled in the busyness and frustrations of day to day life, I know I'll be able to find this center-space again. It may be impossible to stay connected all the time in a 'conscious' way, because that's the nature of being alive and having a body. I think that's 'supposed' to happen-- it's part of being on the Earth, and it's how we as humans grow. And Jovian, I'm so glad to be growing with you, with friends here in LL land. Friends I know now, Friends from a forgotten past, and Friends I've not yet met.

It's a good thing to be alone and rest for a while. Jovian, you're a giver, and givers need time. Your posts I've seen are full of substance, intelligence, intensity, and quality. I've noticed you've shaped answers to include just the right touch of teaching in it. I've not given 'relationship astrology' a lot of attention. (Perhaps too many hurts to face.) I know the vocabulary, and now I see it at work in the posts. Thankyou for your sensitivity towards me-- I feel awkward 'being there'; I want people to know I'm listening, but I feel I don't have anything intelligent to add to the conversation. BUT I'm learning! Thanks for being aware and clueing me in to what's happening... You're such a

Such sure wisdom in your words, Mirage.

Surely, you give me too much credit…and yourself not enough. Though, you do help me feel okay about where I am, at this point in life.

Ooh...I like that Jesus Christ Superstar song! Yet another I'd never heard.
