Edit: Mirage, what did you do with the other clip? That had "So, you're a girl, huh?" LOL! That was a hoot, you pulling that line from it!

(I really wonder how this random thread is being allowed to continue... Poor new people to this board, seeing this! ...We've got some cool mods here, I guess. Threw their hands up about this thread, long ago.)

Mirage--you are cracking me up...how can I get my head screwed back on straight if you keep posting such things?

...Okay--are you saying I'd be Ginger here? Hmm... backwards and in high heels, huh. Oooh, that's asking a lot of me. Hmm...I did say I was trying to embrace my anima... But seriously--if it's ballroom dancing you want, darling, I'm dialing (on my black, bakelite rotary phone, of course) the Arthur Murray studio nearest me tonight to sign up for lessons. ...I'll send you a telegram when I finish my lessons (stop) And then we can really hit the town (stop) Of course please correct me if I'm to be the lead here (stop)

Mirage, you have so much adoration and love to offer someone...and yourself, most importantly! ...I hope you save it for a special someone who deserves it. It goes without saying that they also must have a well-developed sense of humor. ...Did you ever look at that Mercury (ruler of 7th) and Mars you have in 7th House?

Here is the Venus-Saturn page by Michelle at Astrofix. Lately I'm enjoying her method of just offering innumerable keyword combinations of the two planets; and not dividing "positive" from "negative" aspects. ...I am finding this helpful toward opening my mind to the multiple ways that the aspect plays in my life, and to positive opportunities for its manifestation, even if I have a hard aspect. Just another idea.

http://astrofix.net/2010/07/20/venussaturn-aspects/

One of the keyword combos she includes for Venus-Saturn is "old Hollywood!" Ha!

oh I am sorry to hear it - Rest in peace, Celeste Holm.

No worries - I completely 100% understand

I felt the same the last few weeks and didn't go on LL altogether. I'd rather respond fully and thoughtfully than respond just to respond, so take your time and most importantly, take care of yourself!

chiron issues - so rewarding once you've come out on the other side but so painful at the very core.

what degree is your cancer moon?

I hope you feel better and sending warm wishes your way!

mirage, I admit it...I've never seen Indiana Jones - what a crazy scene! I wonder what the context was...I will at some point in my life, watch all of those movies.

oh my, my feelings get swept away watching old movie clips! I really enjoy older movies, just haven't seen all of the ones I'd like to...the last one I watched was the palm beach story, which was pretty good.

You have any good recommendations?

Also, not sure how to re-size pictures, sorry!

Ooh, Steppen! You've returned just in time for 7 pm medication time. I realize this is a voluntary facility--for SOME of us--but you are still entitled to your meds.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S9MjWBInGZ0

...My moon is at 24 degrees. You also asked earlier about nodes. My north node is in Aquarius. ...And won't you spill some beans about yourself? (DON'T spill your meds, though. They do watch around here to make sure you've taken them, as you know...)

(Thank you, for your note above. Yes--if I can really look at the Chiron stuff it will be most helpful. You are truly a dear heart.)

Steppen, I'm really glad to see your posted info!! Love it!!

There are some good movie suggestions for you in this clip. [But warning: 'colorful' language in film ]
:video: "RE: Nostalgia Critic - Patch Adams" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8obmtsEBz4

BTW, The Movie Patch Adams is VERY worthy, as is the actual man 'behind the suit' (the clown suit, that is)!! I was very moved and inspired when I saw it for the first time. It resonated in my soul: I can identify with his mission.... The man is doing his work on his own. Patch deserves all our best thoughts and intentions towards him and his heart's work. <more later>
Oh! in the movie Patch Adams gets in very deep trouble for his "excessive happiness"...

http://patchadams.org/patch-adams

Patch has Gemini Sun, Sag Moon, Sag Asc!! http://www.astro.com/astro-databank/Adams%2C_Patch

See ya later. Gotta go eat a SAAAANDWICH! Always reminds of comedian Sam Kinison(Is especially for venus OPP saturn'r's!) Warning that his humor is quite up front! But is side-splitting hilarious if you like screamers. Maybe he's just for old-timers? Funny as heck for those whose life experience has brought them to understand where he's coming from. :video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_VURr6jnWQ

I'm off to pack for the weekend (another weekend of running around and away for a few days) and then do a meditation if I can quiet my mind for longer than a minute

A lot of my friends are geminis, cancers and leos so from june - august, it's a whirlwind every year.

I haven't seen patch adams and I will check that video out later -thank you!

oh by that way, that past life forum (the carol bowman one) is pretty great - one of you posted the link to it a while back and I just went back on it (to read only of course lol) in the last few days.

oh I'd love to see your placements!

Have a good night guys, I will be back this weekend

goodness this post is non-sequitor city!

Have a great trip, Steppenwolf! Great to see you here.

...And what kind of old movies to do like? Musicals? Romance? Noir? I'm certainly no expert, but I recall some I've enjoyed; and forgotten a lot I didn't enjoy. ...You've probably seen more old movies than me! Ooh, I finally saw Double Indemnity, not too long ago-- the one with Fred MacMurray and Barbara Stanwyck. Hmm. ...Ooh, speaking of Celeste Holm...surely you've seen All About Eve? Speaking of Eves, there's The Three Faces of Eve, based on a true account of multiple personalities. ...I also can't help thinking of my favorite Jimmy Stewart movies-- It's a Wonderful Life, of course; and Mr. Smith Goes to Washington. Ooh--Hitchcock, of course. The Birds...still a favorite of mine.

Here's a list of some "film noir" at imdb (Internet Movie Database): http://www.imdb.com/genre/film_noir

Best films by decades, according to imdb raters (i.e., anyone who wants to join...and whose tastes on rare occasions baffle me, but it is a guide anyway):

Thank you for starting this thread.
In a way, it's comforting to read past life recollections from others. Thank you for sharing your experiences and knowlegde.

Hope it's okay to chime in but there's something I really would like to know:

What aspects can indicate one is the certainly the oppressor and not the victim?

I'm not skilled at chart reading but I typed in Karma, Schindler, AnneFrank and Germania and I saw that they all conjunct each other in the 10th house and they all trine Saturn as well. Schindler and AnneFrank are semi-square Sun. Could this be of any meaning? Also I've Sun & Venus in 12th house.

Hi Panda-- Yes, of course you can join in the thread! ...And drawing it back to its original intention, no less!

I can't really help you much with astrology interpretations. ...I am one who first sensed my past lives...and then noted the corresponding asteroids; rather than trying to deduce my past lives from asteroids.

IQ is the one who chimes in sometimes, to offer interpretations. We'll have to get him over here. ...Or, anyone else more versed in astrology, of course, who might have suggestions.

Did you already have some sense of a past life in that part of history? If it were me, and I'd already felt connected to that time, I'd certainly see such a conjunction of asteroids as significant. I have Saturn conjunct the name of a past life persona of mine, who was a leader. Do you have any sense of Saturn (as well as the 10th house placement) perhaps suggesting you were in a position of authority? It sounds like that's what you may be sensing. Perhaps look at keywords for Saturn, see if you don't sense something in its other meanings.

Perhaps you've read the more soul-based descriptions of Sun in the 12th, that suggest you were a leader in the past...and this is the lifetime to be out of the limelight, take stock of past actions, and temper the ego. I also have sun in 12th. From cafeastrology: "Some view this placement as the result of a misuse of power in past lives, because you are unduly hard on yourself."

What do you sense, yourself?

Hi Jovian,

Thanks for your quick response.:-)

Not sure whether I should post this but I've been having reoccuring dreams since I was very young. I was still living in our old house so I was younger than 4 years when I had them ...
In my dreams I'd be in this place filled with mutilated corpses or dying soldiers. Everytime I wake up from those dreams, it feels like I've visited hell ... I used to be terrified of falling asleep (alone). The dreams are incredibly vivid, I could see, smell and hear every detail, stench of decaying meat ... it troubles me a lot because these memories reoccur still and even now I'm still scared to sleep too "deeply".

Also when I was still living in our old house, every morning I'd see a man standing in the living room, wearing an army uniform. My parents were terrified when I told them I see a man in our house. He didn't have a scary presence at all though.

All these dreams are short, intense and very realistc flashes.
Not all are from the warzone (?), other ones were me in between the ruins or at the backseat of a car for instance. But they all come from the same period I think.

Often I wondered whether I was a woman or a man. Was I wearing an uniform, too? Or was I, and I truly hope so, just a simple civilian?
I was given advice to find out: if I'm in my dreams again, I should try to look down, reach out my arms and look at them.

So when I was "there" again, as adviced, I tried to inspect myself and maybe reach of my arms so I could see who I was, but it wasn't possible, there was no time!
I felt tense, I had to rush rush rush, I was breathing heavily, the air was ice cold and everything was wet. My arms and legs were numb and the only sensation I had was heaviness.
Then something I have never "dreamt" before: I heard a sound and saw movement; a man was running very fast and I chased him eventhough I was scared myself.
Adrenaline kept me going and when he couldn't run anymore, he cried/yelled and showed me his face, I think I wanted to ask him something but before I opened my mouth, without thought, I automatically pulled the trigger ... it was a reflex ... maybe out of fear or panick... It all happened in a flash, it was gruesome, I screamed, woke up in tears, my stomach turned and really felt I had to puke ...

Sorry for the untasty stories ...
When I saw all those asteroids conjunct each other, I really wondered whether they could provide me with more clues. I'm not sure I was someone with authority or power, could be, although I felt mostly guilt, panick and sadness (in those dreams) more than anything. Actually I have always felt tremendous guilt and inner "blockages", I really want put all the pieces together and start accepting/healing and perhaps even, stop having these dreams but I think it will be a slow process.

Oh crud... I missed medication time?! This doesn't bode well :-) Apparently I managed to exceed my paltry data allowance this month and was abruptly cut off from the world-wide-web... As if someone undergoing Saturn/Chiron stuff all at once needs any more solitude! I did laugh 'though, the internet company were Saturn incarnate.

Have been loving catching up on all of your posts... Welcome back Steppenwolf! I'm liking the sound of your healing/drumming circle and yoga/meditation. Sounds like a more courageous way to deal with Chiron than my current hermit style existence. Think I said early on that I'd shied away from a lot of this stuff due to bad experiences, but recently I've had a strong urge to unbox the angel cards, beloved crystals, and yoga mat. I think I was a lot happier/healthier during that period of my life. Self love/healing here I come!

As for Jovian and Mirage, you guys are so awesome. We still get to form a band right? I think we should all dance like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BW3gKKiTvjs Wuthering Heights always read like a strong Pluto/Venus trip to me. I realise I promised a post on that but amn't sure I feel up to it just yet. Was an interesting Jung clip one of you posted - falling in love with an archetype, who hasn't done that? Pluto is all about projection, after all (at least IMHO). Here's a version of it from one of my favourite films: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FmgmXgoBZFo "Just love me, fear me, and I will be your slave!". What a line, and how scary is Bowie here?! Super hot in those leggings 'though.

So anyways, I'm feeling super super sh*t and lonely right now. But it's always darkest before the dawn, no? And sorry to hear about your Saturn/Venus blues Mirage. Is it a natal placement that's being triggered or a transit? I'm always drawn to Saturn/Venus types for some reason, I think they have a lot more love to offer than some of the astroblurb out there makes out. And my Vertex is indeed in Taurus, Jovian. How did you know? Nice link! "Speak your truth when necessary and honor your own values and principles. Be willing to stand up for what you believe to be true". Yes! I really needed to hear that today <3

And welcome Panda! Sorry to hear about your restless nights. I'm a one for recurring nightmares that leave me sick to the stomach sometimes too... Hugs! Not sure about the astrology on that score, although I'm loving Jovian's insights (!). I do think 'though, that given our world history it's likely we've all had experience of war, death, and murder in at least one incarnation. That's just the logical, mathematical side of my brain speaking statistics. As such, I would try not to feel guilty about what you're seeing (although I realise how hard that can be when we're 'reliving it', so to speak). It sounds like you just panicked and pulled the trigger out of fear. Personally, I find that utterly forgivable. I wonder if there's some kind of past life therapy you could find that'd help you work 'through these visions and find forgiveness/healing for yourself? Best of luck with the journey however you go about it. Confronting this kind of stuff takes guts <3

Hi everyone! (So glad to see you checking in for a moment, Despina! Truly. Thanks for sharing where you're at. This is a brave thing. I really admire.) I am working this weekend, so I can't really hang out too long. ...Thank you so much for sharing your story, Panda! As Despina said, in the game of life, we have surely had a vast array of experiences. I know that is a rather unsatisfying response, though.

Reflecting back on my own journey, I think I would say that I had done a lot of work on myself, in various ways, before being able to deal with the "less savory" aspects of myself that I saw evident in past life recollections. ...I had read self-help books and done seminars, for a few years. Despite the depressive state I started in, some part of me always believed that we are, in the end, entitled to be happy, to find inner peace in this existence. ...I guess it was always apparent within me that to "know thyself" was an integral part of fulfilling that goal...that perhaps the truth is what brings peace and contentment? In my experience, being comfortable shining a light on the dark corners of one's mind can only be tolerated if we are also truly aware of the good in ourselves as well; and that may take time to build an awareness of, in oneself. All the self-help work I put myself through was necessary, to gradually shift my own negatively skewed concepts of myself toward a perhaps more objective sense of myself. I always insisted on believing that we are, when all is said and done, decent at our core. ...As I moved along, and more and more awareness of myself has unfolded, I found that in order to face whatever perceived "darkness" came to the surface to be acknowledged, I had to also find a context, some spiritual sense of meaning in what I'd been a part of, some greater view of myself as part of something ultimately good...as part of God, if you will. And this sometimes meant that I had to look at and adjust my perception of what God is.

Panda, it is quite apparent just from your brief sharing here that you are a decent person. Despite what your past has been, you are not a soulless demon or something, but a soul who has been part of an incredible journey, for the sake of learning and growth, in this dramatic physical world we have landed on.

...I agree that things need to unfold in time, that you can't force these things into awareness. But you deserve to be happy, to feel okay about yourself in this world. ...This stumbling towards happiness certainly doesn't seem to come in any way we can predict, though! I've shared how I've sobbed and sobbed and sobbed upon sensing what I've been a part of. What a journey, indeed.

And sometimes, for me, it seems I need to "stew" in my own juices...I need to linger with the truth of just what I'd "done" in the past, to let it sink in....to realize just how "imperfect" I am still....how very human I am! I think we all ultimately must account for the entire journey of our soul. Realizing the richness and depth of your soul's experience you ultimately realize is a wondrous gift.

...And it is not all doom and gloom. If you hang in there, this gift of journeying through our soul's experiences can reveal intimations of precious moments of good in our past...perhaps in the form of good relationships we've had, or unknown strengths within our soul.

Despina... I honestly can't believe you brought up Kate Bush and Wuthering Heights! I LOVE Kate--such a talent...and that is probably my favorite song of hers. Yes--I love her brave, idiosyncratic self...as evidenced by her dancing in this video.

...I came across an older copy of the book, Wuthering Heights, a few years go, in my usual accumulations for sale at our little weekend store. And a previous owner had written a few verses from the song on the inside back cover, and had written the date--sometime in the early '80s, when the song came out. ...I was so tickled. I certainly saved that copy for myself.

Hi again Panda. …My earlier response was of a philosophical bent, as per my usual M.O. …But I wanted to come back to acknowledge you for sharing your detailed story. I do relate to that feeling of carrying around guilt for something unknown. I surely felt that way, in earlier years. (Now I just feel guilty for things I do in this life... Ha.)

That is something else—to experience such dramatic recollections as a small child….and have it recur again and again. It seems your soul thinks you are now able to handle learning more about your actions—that you actually killed someone. Do you think maybe you betrayed one of your own? Someone on your “side” of the war, perhaps to save your own skin? Do you have a sense of what was motivating you? Why were you fearful? Hmm… Yes, I wouldn’t think high-ranking officers would feel guilt and panic at that time, even as things were collapsing, if they were psychologically invested in the goals of the Third Reich. Though could you have been in a lower soldier position, less invested in the goal? Or perhaps disheartened by the campaign at this point, if this were near the end of the war, and feeling guilty for killing someone who had done nothing wrong? Or perhaps a Jew betraying his own kind? I would imagine that would have a significant emotion attached to it. It was obviously such incredible emotional duress you were under in that moment.

…Being able to share it here, and that new details are emerging about it, seems to suggest you are at last moving towards separating from being stuck on the wheel of intense emotional immersion in the event. However, in my experience, we do have to first fully experience and process the layers of emotions brought up by the recall to get the most learning--and to fully heal--from the experience. Part of performing acts in this world is realizing their consequences…even if you don’t feel the emotional effects of those actions until lifetimes afterward! (And some of us seem to need to be smacked in the head with painful emotions, over and over, to realize just what effects our actions have had on others...AND just how much we can be affected by others.) You have to feel all the nitty gritty layers of it, until there is no “pea under the mattresses” that continues to depress or irritate you. When you can think of the event and feel no emotional response, as objectively as if you were watching a movie of someone else, then you are free of it.

You don't need me to tell you this, but it is very good you have shared. That's progress, indeed. You'll get to the other side. As you said, it will just take time. And perhaps there is some comfort to be felt in realizing there is a discernible reason for the guilt you've carried around...and therefore hope that you can someday be free of it.

---
BTW NOTE: ...a 'gremlin' is messing with my URLS and EDITS here!!
<I decided to remove Mel Brooks Spanish Inquisition because it seemed too surreal; too much of a trigger for anyone with experience of being recipient of exteme abuse in their (present) pasts.
<I decided to remove Horribe History on eqyptian gods because even though it was very educational, it could have been construed the wrong way.
When posting urls here I always want to make sure everything's all right...
My final edit last evening was ~11:47pmEDT on 7/22.
btw, please leave my Leonard Cohen postings alone...
