No... I HADN't read Page 2... What I "saw" of Page 1 was an Ami article. Scrolled past it and arrived at Gabby's story toward the bottom of Page 1.

Tonight, I saw Page 2. Discussion blossomed and grew wonderfully rich. It was just the kind of thing I would have loved to participate in, but missed out. Too bad... And I know Steppenwolf and Despina also would have reveled in such sharing! Too bad we couldn't have a way to let them know...

To be really really blatantly honest, I am surprised at myself to find that I still have some unresolved "issues" with the way things were before I took my first break from LL.

For me: I personally greatly despise when I see people take unfair advantage of others, of newbies. I HATE dark agendas and deceit.

I feel exquisitely sensitive about 'association' -- that if I say I'm a Christian, then I run the risk that people automatically equate me with ones who have a vile hatred of the US President, and that I agree to hate the gays. Oh pure ROT!!! It's a STENCH of such disgust to me....

I was 'shocked' to find myself had gotten hoodwinked from a direction and source I wasn't expecting.

I believe in President Obama, and I have enthusiastic support for people who are gay!

I understand LL is a diverse world. It has grown on me. I love watching how people think, trying to look at things through different perspectives. I appreciate the fun of trying out 'new' ideas, expanding my thoughts, opening my mind. I relish the companions and comfort among the old established friendship corners, and the freshness and newness of others who develop and discover each other for the first time and romp awhile.

Also kinda creepy... is how much synchronicity goes on without people realizing it: parallel thoughts, same unique words used simultaneously in different locations here. Watching waves.

It's all sorta wonderful... that we ARE connected. Even while I was away, my thoughts were in sync without my knowing it.

Ive looked up some of the asteroids from Wonderland at different times, but never all together! WOW! and i don't know why i looked at Cheshirecat and didn't put it together with my moon....Can you say DAAAAA! LOL
I can't remember why i was looking at that asteroid before, probably thought it was cute or something...stupid libra Ac! LOL

I wanted to share this thread...I don't know if you got to see it before they moved it, but i really love the responses from ppl...they are so open and kind, you see how deep and genuine the ppl really are here! I'm so amazed and im so happy i found this forum! I asked a really out there question, and got some very genuine responses! It just shows how good we really are in our hearts, or at least want to be! Gabby, you are remarkable. Yes, that religion thread is nice. ...Much of the positive vein of it is because of the energy YOU bring to the table around here. You try to see the best in everyone, and you therefore bring the best out in them. You remind me to try to do the same, and work on my habit of being judgmental.

OMG! Thank you for posting that! I literally have written my book 3 times, i have 2 or 3 big boxes of pages right now, and ive mainly written it on the comp, theres a lot i didnt print out! I write and rewrite and rewrite again...but my problem is with every rewrite i go deeper, i understand more and "get" more...where does it stop? Its madness!! LOL

I know when i'll have it tho, it will be when i know exactly where its going and what is the most important point of the story...i'll get it, its still an evolution to me now but eventually it will land somewhere and become a noun, not a verb!

This is my concern, and it's been there a very long time...

Right now in the USA we are in final approach to the Presidential Elections. I feel fear and dismay... I'm hoping the conservatives mean well towards impoverished people but inside I doubt in my heart that they truly understand the consequences of changes they advocate. I wonder how many of them truly know what it's like to struggle without progress, as is the situation of many in the world, right now.

I worry and wonder "how" a person (who has never really experienced actual nutritional "hunger") can relate to ones who do? You can't look at an obese child and 'assume' they are in good nutrition. If the ones who do well in life have their basic frame of reference as one of mostly successes with a few setbacks, if their sense of privilege and large wealth hasn't also been tempered with education to the sense of moral duty and obligation to society as a world-citizen, if they weren't taught to assist those who struggle unsuccessfully and be of the graceful mind to not hold back from doing good in the occasion where and when you can, then I fear for the ones who fall more and more from the sense of achieving their goals and get deeply left "behind"; and especially those living 'beneath them' as the employees and servants to those who profit from off labor and live obliviously in lap of luxury.

Poverty is abhorable; it's an unattractive sense to our flesh and the comfort in our imagination. When the classes of people who climb out of their own poverty are then reminded about their own plight in once-disadvantaged time and circumstance, I can only imagine the presence of that 'natural aversion' that prohibits one from going back to the reference of feeling what that was like for them, blocking that person from the info they need in order to make a 'compassionate' choice for ALL, rather than an unconscious personal vote that puts distance against the memory of 'what once was' and 'what could still be'...

To be reminded of the sting of fear that poverty is a 'real' state they don't have to belong to anymore, I'm afraid that the very experience that is a link to a more compassionate mind would be viewed as 'wallowing'-ness (?) and then enmasse, they would run away, and would understandably want to 'choose' to be rich, to 'choose' to be in the favor and agreement with 'rich' friends, and to dis-associate themselves with the imagination of what they've left behind. That they'd rather put a big fat wall of forgetfulness between their past and the present success they enjoy, than to be reminded of what 'need' used to feel like to them.

I am scared about what may happen if these, who want to run FAR from the reminders of once-painful pasts, get pre-eminence and don't realize that their single VOTE towards material fatness, would be to stamp out the future for others who have not yet achieved that kind of security.

It would be like Sisyphus almost up the top of that mountain with his boulder---, all his efforts would come crashing down and destroy the little bit of hope and security that the impoverished have left in their life.

I'm scared of a world of people teetering on the edge of the suffering and anguish that prevailed in medieval society, and the times around the 'Wuthering Heights'....

People dying in the streets, and others laughing them to scorn, and afraid to appear to rich friends of society to have decency and mercy to the sick and poor; no help from the land of the living to those almost dead...
