You go Venusian Moon.... -- I will laugh with you today.... Then I will cry.... because there are terrible things going on in government that are soooo discouraging me! My heart is very heavy---- WHAT can we do? We are paralyzed, and I am terrified of what that could mean.......

I accept your apology but I can't really understand you. People talk **** about my country every day, yet I try to be as civil as possible in my responses, if I respond at all. If you don't mind me asking, what's your political ideology? Liberal or Republican? IP: Logged |

There isn't My America is in the 3rd Scorpio house in Sagittarius, near my IC. It sextiles Venus and NN. It also opposes my Mars and MC and they conjunct each other in my chart. Maybe I'm meant to go to America and rip it off? ------------------ I'm sooo happy! I mean, cappy. IP: Logged |

Your music is "The White Stripes, by Icky Thump"! Great sound!!! very gritty... I like it. That's one to crank up in the earphones! And like the song implies, NONE of us belong if you realize that the physical body you're using is just "temporary".... ALL my people have given to this country and/or been s.crewed over by this country. I feel a strong mix of love/hate towards the United States, or to be more accurate, I'm a patriotic cynic (which makes sense considering my Mars is in Cancer with a slew of bad aspects to it - America is Cancerian, after all...). This country has so many good things about it, but there's a lot of bulls**t too so I absolutely understand anyone who is exasperated with, or actually dislikes, America. We (the country as a collective), have a lot to answer for, and a lot to work on. I'm a proud American...who can't wait to get the heck outta here and move to France or Sweden or something. People aren't obligated to love or value something just because you do. People have a right to their opinion, even if it's not what you want to hear. To the OP - the dislike and fear is probably because of the house placement. The eighth house is kind of an inherently dark house by nature, and it makes sense that having the asteroid land in that house, explains your uneasiness about the country.
What degree and house is your Cancer Moon, Chirp? Anything in Virgo? IP: Logged |

Again, there's good and bad about the country and I've experienced both and have witnessed both happen to others firsthand, so any commentary along the lines of me fleeing the States because my entire experience here has been a living Hell is a bit inaccurate.I found the "your new country" thing a little weird and slightly passive-aggressive, but okay. The fact is whether you like it or not, I am an American and you really can't strip me of my citizenship lmao. I was born here, and like I went into in my last post, it could probably be argued that some of my people were here longer than yours, and the ones that weren't, put just as much blood sweat and tears into this country as yours did, if not more. Not that I really want to get into a ******* contest over whose Ameri-peener is bigger, but if you really wanna go that route... Even if I do choose to leave the country, and even if I do have some very real issues with a lot of the really nasty things about Ameican society, our culture, our laws, and how we as a country treat each other and the rest of the world, I am still an American, will still consider myself an American first and foremost, and the Founding Fathers actually appreciated total Freedom of Speech and the right to say anything you want, even if it's speaking about the negativity in the government and policy makers - which is why they fought tooth and nail and made sure to protect that in the Bill of Rights and Constitution. Hell, the entire reason this country came to be, was over the right to truly be free in all respects so in essence, your mindset and behavior here is actually un-American and goes against everything this country as founded on and all its creators, stood for. Ironic, huh? Love for your country (or a person) doesn't mean you have to blindly agree with and adore everything about them. You can totally appreciate something and acknowledge the sh*tty aspects of it at the same time, it's not an either/or thing and in honesty your stance is more than a little extremist - to me, anyway. Like I said, my Mars is in Cancer - so when people slam the United States for no good reason, I'm the first one jumping in to play the good citizen and fight for its honor because I genuinely love my country, but at the same time there's things about it, its policies, and its people that are genuinely disgusting and you will never ever see me sit there and condone the inexcusable. And yeah - my dad did time in Vietnam - by force, punishment for evading the draft is prison time. Surely you see why I can't lump all-praise on a country that forced people to go out and risk their lives; interestingly enough, most of the draftees were poor and/or of color - somehow Uncle Sam decided to pick and choose who they'd toss out there to die and decided some lives were worth more than others - if my dad had been born a blonde whose daddy had connections at Harvard and Yale, the closest he would've gotten to 'Nam is watching the coverage on the Nightly News. Don't get me started on all the other things this country has done wrong or I'll be here for years typing. My Greatttttttt-times-a-kabillion Grandpappy (Anselm McLaurin) did his best to try and make things better here too - he tried to make it illegal to beat your spouse, in an era where most people thought it was entirely natural and that they had every right to slap their wife around. They made sure THAT law didn't happen.
Wow! Your G-zillion Grandpappy Anselm McLaurin was a U.S. Senator!! How AWESOMELY cool is that? http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=7327447 http://bioguide.congress.gov/scripts/biodisplay.pl?index=M000542 It's good to have passion about your country. Some people have apathy. I enjoy your vigor! Now THAT's being "American" !
btw... Did you know that you are related to actor/comedian ROBIN WILLIAMS??? OMG, He is one of my absolute FAVORITES!! Talk about a Patriot??? Robin is A W E S O M E !!!!!!~ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anselm_J._McLaurin http://www.biography.com/people/robin-williams-9532797 http://www.astro.com/astro-databank/Williams%2C_Robin Robin has a MARS CANCER too! and his 28-deg CANCER Sun conjuncts my Jupiter! :shimmer: His Saturn cj my Moon by a few degrees.... We both have Saturn placed in the 11th house, but my Saturn is Scorpio instead of Virgo. What's yours? IP: Logged |

I have it in the fourth (ha!), squaring Venus by one degree.I've been thinking for months now that when I finished college, I wanted to move to Paris France. My astrocartography and relocation chart for there, is really good...and I just looked up the asteroid, and it's conjunct my sun by one degree, and quintiles my moon by one degree. Paris, it is, then! IP: Logged |

Uh...you read exactly what you wanted to into that, didn't you? Of course the ironic thing is, if you understand that this is all temporary then you being all obsessive and a.nal about being born here in this incarnation, looks even sillier. Go away, ya annoys meh. IP: Logged |
