{{Faith }} That asteroid goes around the wheel every 3.8 years? Please don't take these so 'literally'... You're talking at someone who Knows how seductive and surreal these studies can be. Yes, the synchronicities are amazing? But don't get 'sucked into' the vortex where you 'manifest' what you are seeing. In our limited senses and our collective babyhood we're not actually certain on 'how' these actually work. ...But right now, (sky configs), manifestation-energy is very 'responsive' to how we think, and what we say to ourselves. Just (as much as you can let yourself) look at these asteroids as a way of getting in-touch with self and what has been in the past that needs healing. Let them "talk" to you rather than "prophesy" a thing.... okay? {{{ }}} We'll get through this! And it will/can be Better than we thought. IP: Logged |

Should I not have said that? But it's true...And, this happened long before I knew anything about asteroid astrology. IP: Logged |

On New Years Eve, our family lost my 17 yr old nephew (I thought of him as another son)to a car accident. We are all completely heartbroken, and still in shock and disbelief. I can speak for all of my family when I say that it's so hard to imagine the rest of my/our lives without him. Anyhow, to get back on subject, I checked Atropos and it was active in all of his charts (along with Pluto). I'm attaching his natal with transits on the day of the accident, his Solar Return chart, Progressed chart and his event chart composite (event+natal). The time of the accident is estimated since no one was around to see the accident, so a timeline was created. It's believed he was in his car for nearly an hour before he was found. Progressed chart- T Atropos on his Progressed Asc Progressed Atropos on his N Sun
Natal chart- T Pluto opp N Sun T Sun opp N Atropos Will be back with the other two charts.

Event chart+natal-If the time of the accident is correct, then Atropos is on the Asc. And, Pluto is on his N Moon. IP: Logged |

Oh god, Someday Soon. That is so horrific. Very, very sorry for your family. Your nephew was so young! Almost the same age as my oldest (born 1999). The data speaks for itself. Thank you for the charts. I understand what mirage was saying, we shouldn't be fatalistic. But the asteroid is telling, regardless.

What would be the difference between Moira (638), Atropos asteroid and Admetos (h45)? They all seem to represent a fate that we cannot avoid, but what distinguishes them? Is Atropos always negative/related with tough situations for example? @Someday Soon Sorry for your loss, my condolences.

Thing is while it seems that indeed Atropos pops up significantly in death charts, we cannot conclude from her coming up significantly that the person is going to die.

My Atropos is at 19 Aquarius conj. Moon widely. My last ATropos return was end of april last year (just a week before my progressed Full Moon took place - and last saturday my pr Moon was EXACTLY opposite my n Atropos at 17 minutes applying , while the Tr Sun-Neptune conjunction was within 1-2 degrees of conjunct my pr Atropos on my n Ceres) Luckily I am still very much alive, but I do feel like around that time there was an important turning point, something unavoidable, like crossing a line and sometimes you know if you crossed a particular line there is no going back anymore to what was before. But thena gain I have crossed several of these lines in my life before, it is now and then just coming up, those stepping stones (at least internally). Part of the road I guess.
Nevertheless I wonder if to signify actual death Tr Atropos has to be in exact conjunction, square, opposition to Tr Sun and that combo somehow triggering the natal chart? (btw my grandmother died with an exact Tr Sun-Atropos conjunction in the sky in Cancer, her Sun-sign, while Tr Pluto was exactly opposing her Sun-Mars-Pluto conjunction; at the time she was pretty sick though already, so it did not came exactly as a surprise.)

Looking up when Tr Atropos was last squaring my n Sun but nope, I didn`t die. Instead I was being virtually kissed. Seriously, That is ridiculous!!!! That moment Tr Atropos was square my n Mercury with 0.00 orb! and square my n Sun with 0°53 a. (and within half a degree conjunct his n ASC. lol) Just having passed our pr c-ASC by 2 degrees.

Wow Ceri! ^ Their single life was ending Your grandmother's transits at the end are interesting. Transiting Atropos in Aries will be square my sun and conjunct my Jupiter on this eclipse, by the way. Not a day I'd choose for skydiving or bungee jumping. quote: Thing is while it seems that indeed Atropos pops up significantly in death charts, we cannot conclude from her coming up significantly that the person is going to die.

Both my parents-in-law died with tr Pluto conjunct their natal Atropos. Interestingly, my father-in-law was a few weeks older than my mother-in-law. His Atropos is retrograde, so hers was at an earlier degree than his. And she died first. There's a chance tr Atropos was conjunct both parents-in-laws moons at the end, as well, but I don't have their birth times. --- Granted there will always be inter-aspects between our natal charts and the transits. Atropos is bound to be involved just like anything. But it does seem prominent. IP: Logged |

Yes, that is exactly how I saw it. While, yes, Atropos *can* indicate the end of life as well (as in death) and therefore comes up so very reliably at these death-charts, there are several other "endings" or actually "transitions" we have undergone before while being very much alive. Getting married is certainly one of these occasions. Also however, there is something very unavoidable about Atropos, like it just HAD to happen and well, they are still married after all, and very much passionate about each other.

Wow....I was just talking about astrology with my Scorpio brother last night, and got his birth time. I was looking up my mother's chart with transits for when she died, and switched to his chart. His ASC 27 Gemini His Atropos 28 Gemini Tr Atropos when she died 29 Gemini His Moira 11 Leo Her Atropos 11 Leo My Atropos 1 Gemini My Ceres 1 Gemini Tr Mars when she died 1 Gemini ETA: My son was born on the anniversary of her death (not planned) and his Atropos @18 Scorpio is conjunct tr Pluto when she died (conjunct my NN & my brother's sun). yes, it only makes sense that it would feature prominently in relative charts, because of the death affecting the whole family and even a later generation the day my grandmother died
Tr Sun 22°41 Cancer Tr Atropos 21°31 Cancer my n Vertex 21°28 Cancer Interestingly there were no close ties of Tr Atropos to other family members though. That is odd I have to say though the day after the funeral I was attending an open air concert (long planned), on which Mr Sag somehow stumbled into my way. Well he had to cross the waiting line just in front of me, right? I had been thinking a long time before considering to cancel the whole event alltogether, firstly because it was the day after the funeral and secondly I had seen him on a concert the month before and well let`s just say it was the lowest point ever imaginable for me. I still went there though, not because of him actually but just for myself and the other actors there, could I have foreseen he has to literally bump into me again?
Well that day Tr Atropos was on 23 Cancer conjunct my n Destinn on 23 Cancer and opposing our composite Moon exactly. It`s funny how she seems to be there at those junctures, those crossroads, just after or while I make a decision for or against something, almost like cutting off the other possibility. lol IP: Logged |

Thank you! I'm in frantic chart-examining mood but I'll check this in a bit. My husband has Atropos on his ASC... Composite Atropos 18.52 Gemini, widely conjunct my Mars. Tr Atropos 11 Leo when we got married, conjunct my mother's Atropos exactly. We have composite Moira @ 17.43 Capricorn, conjunct my sun. Tr Moira exactly conjunct tr sun on our wedding day. Is it just me or does this not look like a good omen? Oh but my Moira is exactly on my DSC, exactly opposing my husband's sun (0.01° orb) so it makes sense, tr Moira = tr sun. It makes too much sense!!! *Insert astrology freak-out session right here* IP: Logged |
