I have a special affinity for Chariklo as she sits on my ASC exactly (1 minute), about 5 degrees from Chiron in 1st House and a stellium that includes Ceres, Kaali, Yes, and Spirit. I tend to resonate with the descriptions of Chariklo as a caretaker, companion, and counselor. I think Revilla's statement that "In the outcast realm of centaurs, she is more positive astrologically. She cares for the sick and for the dying" is spot-on. If Chariklo is the caretaker, companion, and counselor and Chiron is the wounded healer, then can't they be a doctor and nurse couple that has similarities of a Goddess+Dying God couple?------------------ -La Sorcière du Temps IP: Logged |

Chariklo is very fascinating indeed...but she is much more than a nurse, that is just one way that her energy can be expressed.Stein Zein is looking into her and so far feels: "Chariklo's orbit, like that of Chiron, is between Saturn and Uranus. If Saturn is an indicator of our apparent reality, and Uranus a breaking down of the walls set up by Saturn, it is easy to see how Chariklo is functioning in the above individual's charts, as well as the charts of the individuals who write science fiction, and are not content to let their minds be limited by the seeming reality they see around them. Time and again, in studying the transits of Chariklo to natal charts, I see individuals taken actions which may be very risky....usually knowing full well that they were opening a door that could change things forever. True, they were often not fully cognizant of just how much the world would change. And quite often, they were not even sure if the action was an appropriate one....not even sure if it was a choice that they should be making. But they made it because they knew they needed a change. Chiron was seen as a door-opener very early in our research. But often, the door was flung open for the individual, rather than he or she choosing to open it. Sometimes, the person did not even know a door existed prior to its opening. With Chariklo, I'm finding a choice to open a door. Sometimes with the attitude, "Damn the torpedo's, full speed ahead."" Chariklo is very prominant in my chart too and the following I found in one of your links really really resonates with me big time:"Chariklo "cares", is very receptive, and generous. In the outcast realm of centaurs, she is more positive astrologically. She cares for the sick and for the dying. She is outside marriage, a mother of fatherless children... she may be unhappily married, have illicit relationships, but she is also a good mate, transcendental unlike Venus. An of course, she is deeply hurt, she hurts herself, she is sad." My pallas sesquisquares venus on one side and chariklo on the other forming a Thor's Hammer. Chariklo is also part of a love grand cross for me; it opposes my psyche and squares my venus/karma/mars/fortuna stellium on one side and my BML on the other side. If you dont want to count the BML for a Grandcross then Chariklo forms a tsquare opposing my psyche and squaring love stellium at the point of release for the tsquare. My chariklo conjuncts EXACT Composite Chiron in the 7th which is at the apex of Yod. IP: Logged |

IZANAKI 10209 IZANAMI 10227IZANAKI and IZANAMI represent the Japanese creation god and goddess, Izanagi (male) and Izanami (female). When Izanami died giving birth to a fire god, she was sent to the underworld. Her lover then went to follow and retrieve her from there (sound like Orpheus?), but upon finding her, it was too late. She had already consumed the food of the underworld, and belonged to the realm of the dead (sound like Persephone?). It was dark, and Izanagi wanted to see his beautiful lover again, but after bringing a light forward, found she had become hideous and overrun by rotten flesh and maggots. So scared by the sight, he cried out and ran away. Izanami was outraged, and sent monsters in pursuit. After reaching the surface, he blocked shut the entrance to the underworld, and heard Izanami screaming at him. She threatened to send death to 1,000 people everyday, but in retaliation, Izanagi claimed he would bring life to 1,500 everyday. As such, Death was brought to the world. It's a tale of star-crossed lovers. --- Tanabata festival in Japan celebrates the once-a-year reunion of two additional star-crossed lovers, Orihime and Hikoboshi. This pair is actually the fixed stars VEGA and ALTAIR, so any comparison in synastry or composite should be made with Draconic charts, which will alter their fixed positions. Orihime (VEGA) was a weaver, and Hikoboshi (ALTAIR) was a cow herder. When the two met, they instantly fell in love and married. But because of this, Orihime no longer wove her beautiful cloths, and Hikoboshi no longer kept watch over his cattle, which strayed all over heaven. Angered, her father, the great sky god Tentei, separated the two on opposite sides of a river (the Milky Way). This made Orihime so despondent, that her father finally yielded to allowing them to meet once a year. When it came time however, there was no bridge across to the other side of the river. This caused Orihime to cry in such sadness, that a flock of magpie birds took pity on her and ferried her across so she could reunite with her husband. IP: Logged |

In Japanese mythology the two deities Izanagi (The Male Who Invites) and Izanami (The Female Who Invites) are the creators of Japan and its gods. In one important myth, they descend to Yomitsu Kuni, the underworld and land of darkness. Stories about Izanagi and Izanami are told in two works from the A . D . 700S, the Kojiki (Records of Ancient Matters) and the Nihongi (Chronicles of Japan).According to legend, after their birth Izanagi and Izanami stood on the floating bridge of heaven and stirred the primeval ocean with a jeweled spear. When they lifted the spear, the drops that fell back into the water formed the first solid land, an island called Onogoro. Izanagi and Izanami descended to the island and became husband and wife. Their first child was deformed, and the other gods said it was because Izanami spoke before her husband at their marriage ceremony. The couple performed another wedding ceremony, this time correctly. Izanami soon gave birth to eight lovely children, who became the islands of Japan. Izanagi and Izanami then created many gods and goddesses to represent the mountains, valleys, waterfalls, streams, winds, and other natural features of Japan. However, during the birth of Kagutsuchi, the fire god, Izanami was badly burned. As she lay dying, she continued to create gods and goddesses, and still other deities emerged from the tears of the grief-stricken Izanagi. When Izanami died, she went to Yomi-tsu Kuni. Izanagi decided to go there and bring his beloved back from the land of darkness and death. Izanami greeted Izanagi from the shadows as he approached the entrance to Yomi. She warned him not to look at her and said that she would try to arrange for her release from the gods of Yomi. Full of desire for his wife, Izanagi lit a torch and looked into Yomi. Horrified to see that Izanami was a rotting corpse, Izanagi fled. Angry that Izanagi had not respected her wishes, Izanami sent hideous female spirits, eight thunder gods, and an army of fierce warriors to chase him. Izanagi managed to escape and blocked the pass between Yomi and the land of the living with a huge boulder. Izanami met him there, and they broke off their marriage. Instead of trying to find a solution or rescuing her he Fled! Sounds like a Coward. Although if she would have not reacted automatically with vengeance and just waited he probably would have returned; his initial reaction to flee was out of shock. The vindictive behavior forced him to close the pass that would allow him to return! Disaster brought to you by cowardice, vengeance, hurt, shock and impulsiveness. It is a star crossed lovers story indeed. Thanks Blind Writer for sharing! Good one; it resonates a lot with my story. IP: Logged |

I am not dating him or involved with him, just a crush that is all. Since I feel attracted to him, I wanted to research our synastry. If I were single I would not get married again, I wouldnt move in with a guy again. I am not looking for the man of my dreams or someone to complete me, I find that ridiculous. I am whole and content. Is just nice to come across a kindred spirit and wanted to look at the astrology behind that. IP: Logged |
