Melpomene is another good one. She's known as the muse of tragedy, but before that she was the "songstress". Would probably be prominent for someone who writes music or sings about sadness and pain etc.IP: Logged |

Check for contacts between music asteroids, Jupiter and luck asteroids, MC, ruler of MC, and career asteroids. Here's my list. Dieties - 27 Euterpe > Greek muse of music, lyric poetry, a flutist - 1862 Apollo > Greek god of music, song and poetry - 33 Polyhymnia > Greek muse, religious hymns - 81 Terpsichore > no information on what it was named after, but possibly referring to Terpsikhore, Greek muse of music, choral song and dance
Instruments - 10573 Piani > no information available, but possibly referring to piano. Not sure.
Composers This is long, but useful if you are already in music and you want to get an idea of what composer (what piece) could trigger your career. Also you can just use these to see if you have any affinities and/or facility with playing a composer.
- 6777 Balakirev - 1814 Bach - 1815 Beethoven - 1034 Mozartia - 1059 Mussorgskia - 1818 Brahms - 2055 Dvořák - 2266 Tchaikovsky - 2669 Shostakovich - 3159 Prokofiev - 3784 Chopin - 3826 Handel - 3917 Schubert - 3941 Haydn - 3954 Mendelssohn - 3975 Verdi - 3992 Wagner - 4003 Schumann - 4040 Purcell - 4132 Bartók - 4330 Vivaldi - 4345 Rachmaninoff - 4382 Stravinsky - 4492 Debussy - 4527 Schoenberg - 4528 Berg - 4534 Rimskij-Korsakov - 4546 Franck - 4559 Strauss - 4579 Puccini - 4625 Shchedrin - 4727 Ravel - 4734 Rameau - 4802 Khatchaturian - 4972 Pachelbel - 5004 Bruch - 5210 Saint-Saëns - 6480 Scarlatti - 6549 Skryabin - 6777 Balakirev - 6780 Borodin - 6798 Couperin - 7622 Pergolesi - 8181 Rossini - 8249 Gershwin - 9438 Satie - 10820 Offenbach - 11050 Messiaen - 11530 d'Indy - 69288 Berlioz Hope this helped ! Oh and... Luck, success and career asteroids
- 19 Fortuna, Roman goddess of luck - 258 Tyche, Greek goddess of luck - 151 Aundantia, Roman goddess of luck and affluence - 109 Felicitas, Roman goddess of success - 389 Industria, career and work - 829 Academia, shows a big part of your future career In all that I mentioned (except maybe for he composers), check for strong aspects and patterns to Jupiter, the MC, MC ruler, 2nd and 6th house rulers (work), see which fall in 2nd, 6th and 10th houses, and look for affinities between the nature of your MC and your career.

I remember vaguely I have Polyhymnia on my ASC, don´t remember the other ones right now. Even though I am no musician, music means the world to me. IP: Logged |

SQUEE! These are FABULOUS! Thank you, Peluches! I had CHOPIN, BACH, and PUCCINI, but I was missing so many of the others. I don't believe PIANI is a connexion to 'piano', however. More research indeed need be done. IP: Logged |

You're welcome ! Yeah, I had a doubt about Piani. I did some research and from what I understood, Piano is an Italian word defining some geometry thing. Plural of piano would be piani, then. Nothing to do with the instrument... IP: Logged |

Piani seems to be an asteroid related to "piano",after reading this thread I saw that it means "piano", "to play piano" or seems to be the plural of "piano", I dont really know. or it means "plan", "project" in italianIn my opinion Piani IS the asteroid of the piano ! according to the emplacement of this asteroid in my chart (I used to play piano a little) ! And Chopin had "piani" conjunct Venus (1° orb) and the Sun (but it's 4° orb) IP: Logged |

Hey Ami Anne, i agree, and i would add the Moon. I actually did some research on this topic, and found that Venus isn't that important, unless you like acoustic guitars and soft vocals, like maybe Nana Mouskouri, if that rings a bell :-) IP: Logged |
