My 10th-house Sappho in Virgo doesn't do much in my chart.I have a Sun-Sappho trine, but I don't know if that's strong enough to mean much. I also have a Uranus-Sappho applying aspect. It is also a trine, but the orb is 4. I don't consider that applicable. However, I will assure you: I am bi-sexual. IP: Logged |

So cute envious! :P I'd count that, because I think that Lilith has a lot to do with lesbianism, she's fiercely independent and won't bow to no man, recognizes the power in every woman, that's where the attraction comes from... that's how I see it. IP: Logged |

Gosh, I know the feeling of the family zone at home... This Mars sucks Why do you think they are shocked so much? Do you live in a conservative town? Do you dress and act very femininely, talk a lot about boys etc.? IP: Logged |

I'd say it counts, both of them... What about Eros, Juno, Lilith, does it aspect any of them? And also, do you have a prominent Lilith? IP: Logged |

Sappho aspects Eros with a wide orb of 7 degrees. It's another trine and it's applying. And I'm not sure if my Lilith is prominent. Here are my Lilith aspects though: Sun square Lilith - orb of 3 Eros square Lilith - orb of 6 (applying) Juno sextile Lilith - orb of 6 (separating) Sappho quincunx Lilith - orb of 40 minutes Osc. Lilith sextile Ascendant - orb of 14 minutes Moon quincunx Osc. Lilith - orb of 5 minutes IP: Logged |

Ow haha. Ok. Thanks. That's good to know. It's interesting . I think I have Lilith semisextile Ascendant? Lilith in Gemini 7degrees, ascendant in Taurus 7 degrees. IP: Logged |

Ok ladies, how would you interprets these placements: Sappho in Virgo EXACTLY conjunct IC by 4 minutes, square gemini moon, quincunx Juno exact, and parallel south node and Amor. Venus is also in gemini. Lilith parallel sun and anti-VTX. IP: Logged |

Well, I am bisexual and SAPPHO is in my 7th House in Cancer; it Trines my SATURN in Pisces and Squares my Venus in Libra. Also trines my North node in Scorpio, and sextiles my Chiron. I think it being involved in my grand water trine by trining Saturn connects it to my Mars in Cancer even though they aren't conjunct. The aspect to my Venus, the square, is involved in Venus squaring my Neptune and Uranus. The thing with this is that I can't just have casual sex with any girl even if they are attractive to me. I have to have an emotional connector to them first. The first time I had sexual experience with a girl, it was my best friend and it was a truly healing and loving experience. It confirmed that I was bisexual even though I kind of knew my whole life. (Chiron) Uranus squares or the planet in general, is said to contribute to one being gay, lesbian, or bisexual. I also like to point out that I have the asteroid Lilith trine my Sun which is said to also contribute to lesbianism/bisexuality in women. I also have Lameia, the Greek counter part of Lilith, trine my Sun. I think it does have a part in me being bisexual as well as other aspects. Also, I do notice that lesbians or bisexuals know I am even though I don't say it because I'm in a relationship with a man*he knows I am though* They often hit on me. Hm, I don't know, maybe that you're a big time lez at heart, fall for extremely smart, bit androgynous ladies. But you'd never commit and have a serious relationship with a woman? (wild speculations, have no ideas what parallels are) IP: Logged |

Wow, I really like the part Sappho plays in your chart, it's major no wonder they smell you across the room I also think that Lilith and Uranus both play a major role, not so much in developing romantic feelings for women, but the courage to be out there, break the norms, act on your desires, and just be a rebel against heteronormativity. Have you predominantly had relationships with women or men? I guess what I suspect with lots of bisexual women is that, and I don't mean to be rude here or in any way disrespectful, is that the pressure of heteronormativity is so big, that in reality there are many many more lesbians among bisexuals, that they realize or are willing to admit... I actually have some similar Sappho aspects in my chart...It also forms a grand trine, but with my Venus and Saturn, an earth one. It also makes a grand square with my Pluto and ASC/DSC axis, sextiles Eros/Chiron and opposes Juno. My Lilith plays a big part, it's conjunct MC, opposite Mars, sextile NN, Sun. Uranus is also my chart ruler, square Sun, conjunct Moon. By all that you could read my chart as raging lesbian or just a really passionate feminist... or both btw, I gotta check that Lameia, sounds interesting. IP: Logged |

Well, in a way Sappho is connected to both your Eros and Lilith... that kinda makes sense, doesn't it? And I'd say that Lilith squaring Sun is a very prominent aspect to have. Do you play by conventional rules by what a woman "should" be or rather struggle with it/fight it?

Well, you've gotta give me some context, for example which signs are your Venus, Mars, etc., if any is ruled by Jupiter... but Sappho in 8th house is probably very telling IP: Logged |

OH of course! Sun and Venus in Aquarius (which are both conjunct Altair, which I've read has homosexual inclinations?) and Mars in Capricorn, both in the sixth house. The only aspect that Sappho makes to any of my personal planets is being sextile to my moon (Taurus 10th house), with the outer planets it's just Jupiter. IP: Logged |

Sappho is conjunct my 12h peregrine Venus I have always loved women... was pretty sure i was a lesbian at 12, though some other stuff (men! Programming! I dunno. Karma?) got hold of me and I've never been in a serious sexual relationship with another female bodied person... I'm very in love with a friend of mine--ok a few of my friends! Very much so, although not in the way where I want to be with them in that way... it's kinda complicated, very poetic and fulfilling and sensual... very Sappho. I IP: Logged |

I am a man. I have often said I was born a lesbian,, HAHA. I am however offended by the discriminatory nature of the thread. The Magi astrologers having done some extensive research suggest Sappho SIMPLY implies where one is neurotic. I for one do not believe that all lesbians are neurotic, and if Sappho has only to do with lesbians HOW do men who have a prominent Sappho(receiving a hard aspect from a Luminary) FIT INTO SUCH A POST. oh wait , they don't,, like I said discriminatory ------------------ LeekingChee IP: Logged |

My aspects are mostly quintiles and biquintiles to Venus, Jupiter and Saturn (0 to 1 orb), and it's squaring Uranus, quincunx Mercury and sextile Midheaven in my 8th house. I have no idea how they play out. IP: Logged |

Good post. I was going to ask a similar question. I am not offended though, not that you are. The thread is interesting in order to learn IMO.
My question would be associated with resentment of males. Maybe through historical abuse possibly at a young age.
