Whitewitch, if we take the 'turning to stone' to mean making someone unresponsive, or as in killing a relationship, then that could be the meaning of Medusa in your synastry. Perhaps the image of Medusa is too intense and demanding and the response is not to relate to Medusa at all.This might be the meaning in my natal too. My Medusa was conjunct my bf's Moon and we were at cross purposes as to what we desired from the relationship. I wonder if Medusa could be wrong face of love. She was after all a beautiful maiden to start with. Medusa could be prominent in co-dependent relationships, for example. So, Medusa in this interpretation is the punished one, which confers with the mythology - she was 'punished' by Athena, through no fault of her own, and turned into a gorgon. IP: Logged |

I've got Medusa right on my Saturn in Capricorn [as well as asteroids Ophelia (drowning in self doubt), Flora (perhaps seeing the bloom of effort?) and Universitas (all becoming one)].I can definitely say my foundation in how I interact with people at large (Saturn on the cusp of the 10/11th houses) has been wrought with a deep inability to confront the fear I've felt. And there's a LOT of fear there. If we speak in terms of 'how do we deal with fear in the moment' in the fight/flight/fawn/freeze, I've always been freeze. Hmmm. However when turned towards protecting someone else (the group, especially) I know I've struck fear into the hearts of others by confronting what they're doing. Also my Saturn energy has a ZERO tolerance for abusive/patriarchy behaviour ... so maybe that's a thing too hahaha. IP: Logged |
