Everyone has their asteroid OMG moment. This was one of mine recently.A few months ago, I got wind that someone at my work was spreading a rumour that a co-worker and I were having a full-blown affair. This is so untrue that I was floored by it - we are good friends, but that is it - and until this point it had never occurred to me that someone would want to hurt either me or my friend with a malicious rumour like that.
After the initial shock and hurt wore off, I decided to do some digging and went looking for asteroids that might represent affairs or rumour or lies etc, and embedded deep in a page someone on here I think, I came across a list of asteroids, including Fama (408).
I plugged it in and found: a transiting stellium of BML, Fama and Adonis (conjunct by less than 1 degree); exactly conjunct my natal Uranus in the 10th.
In my friend's chart, it was deep in his 12th house.
The story the asteroids were telling? Infamy (fama) around a sexual affair featuring a woman with loose morals (BML) and a rascal (adonis - he's married). Shocking revelation (uranus) that could impact on my career (10th house); for him a secret (12th house).
When I looked at the natal placings, our individual reactions were also explained. He has fama in the first, close to the ascendant (2deg) so took it personally then brushed it off.
I have fama conjunct chiron in the third and was deeply hurt by the accusation as it meant someone within our work 'family' had invented this. In fact it needled and needled because we still haven't worked out the source.
So there you have it - asteroid Fama as a representation of rumours and infamy.
Anyone have a Fama experience to share? Or when was your 'woah asteroids' moment?
