Topic: Photographia conjunct North Node

Would Photographica (443) conjunct my NN mean a propensity towards being a great photographer? I know the NN is in the same sign for usually a year so most people around my age would have Photographia conjunct it which might mean that many around my age also have that talent too.IP: Logged |

Photographica is conjunct my North Node as well. In fact, it's the only asteroid conjunct my North Node that seems to mean anything. One of my theories is Photographica relates to all forms of creativity that result in visual imagery or mental imagery. I have no interest in photography, but I love to write fiction and writing fiction tends to involve vivid descriptions that engage the reader's imagination thus forming images on a mental level rather than a physical one that can be visually seen. I never thought of that definition before, but it does sound like it could fit! I would say for me it would explain why I have a phenomenal photographic memory. I can see events in vivid imagery from my childhood over twenty years ago through my mind's eye. IP: Logged |

I love taking pictures and I have Photographica well aspected to my Venus (sextile). There is also Daguerre (3256) for photography, but maybe less important, which is conjunct my North Node. Actually there is also an asteroid that has the name of the one who created photography : Nicéphore Niepce (weird name, I know)... There is asteroid Niepce... Is Daguerre that famous French photographer? I think my photography is ok but for me I think it explains my photographic memory. I have vivid memories of events from years past that aren't important at all, like a memory of a random day playing with my neighbors or a memory of talking to my childhood best friend about the Spice Girls haha. Niepce is 1 degree from my Ascendant! Daguerre is in my 1st house but not near my Ascendant. Interesting. IP: Logged |

I would think that that which conjuncts the NN is very important. I use a close conjunction, though.------------------
