I put this here for a reason.Anyway, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanpaku <what it is.... "It is often said that the eyes are the windows to the soul. Certainly, many people feel uncomfortable looking directly into another person's eyes and the recipient of such a stare can feel equally uncomfortable. This has led to striking differences between societies. In the West, being able to look someone in the eyes is taken as a sign of honesty. In the East however, this is seen as a challenge and regarded as intimidatory. But there can be good medical reasons for looking someone in the eyes. There are indicators in the eyes that can, it is said, show the mental and physical well-being of the subject. The Japanese have a word for one such condition, sanpakugan or 'three whites' eyes, often shortened to 'Sanpaku'. The amount of white, or sclera, that is visible when someone is looking straight ahead can say a lot. When a baby is born the coloured part of the eye, the iris, is neatly centred between the upper and lower eyelids with the sclera only visible at the sides. This indicates that the baby is unstressed and in good physical condition. But there are states of ill-health that may cause the lower or upper sclera to become visible. Traditional Chinese medicine and homeopathy relies heavily on assessing visible often seemingly unrelated symptoms. When the lower sclera is visible, this is called 'Yin Sanpaku' and is attributed to physical imbalances in the body. Drug addicts, alcoholics and people who eat too much sugar or grain may exhibit 'Yin Sanpaku'. 'Yang Sanpaku' is where the upper sclera is visible and is sometimes indicative of mental imbalance. Psychotics, murderers, and people generally filled with rage are said to be liable to exhibit 'Yang Sanpaku'. However, stress and fatigue may also cause this symptom. Famous people who exhibited Sanpaku eyes at various points in their lives were John F Kennedy, Marilyn Monroe and particularly Abraham Lincoln, who can be seen exhibiting Yin Sanpaku in this famous postcard." Was just reading up on it - interesting! I know someone who has this but they are a health freak (not drug addict etc) Sugar is her weakness though.Immediately these two came to mind: I think they play vampires in a teenie bopper movie. Also what i notice in examples from many sites are famous people who are often posing and giving a model posed face in which they point their head slightly down and eyes up, showing whites, giving the camera what is known as "bedroom eyes". When looking straight on, they wouldnt have it. The girl above doesnt always have such sanpaku in all her pictures. I couldnt if i tried (& i did lol), my irises are HUGE. ___ Iridology has always fascinated me as well and I think there is some truth to it, but I don't know enough about it to be sure. You probably know it's the study of the iris to see into the body's state of health. IP: Logged |

slightly different, but check these photos out: http://devkhalsa.com/just-for-fun/we-are-all-expert-face-readers-pt-1/ http://devkhalsa.com/just-for-fun/it’s-as-plain-as-the-nose-on-your-face-pt-2/ very interesting as a documentary on dogs i watched found after scientific studies that dogs read the right side of people's faces - it's where they look first to get a feel of a person. A strong tension builds up behind the eyes. Yang would form behind the upper part of my eyes, and the Yin on the lower. The pressure would sometimes cause my eyes to hurt, also a short headache.

Yang eyes freak me out- my ex's mother has them and gives you intense psycho stare... She often backs you into a corner and doesn't stop talking at you.... Very odd. We once had to ask her to leave so I used a chair between me and her. Rolled the chair and forced her out the door. Any way that's my experience with a yang. I know many yins, they often drinkers who put themselves in unsavory situations, not all drinkers though, a lot of yin are untrustworthy and shifty. Hard to explain though a lot of my sisters friends have this condition. I had this condition once when I was in a lot of danger- now it has normalized. I've never seen it in kids. There was a girl I knew 10 years ago who was my sisters friend she was both yang and yin- I asked about her the other day and she's in a mental institution. IP: Logged |

"You can see the energy animating a person, by the love radiating out from their RIGHT eye. Left eye is WILL power. If a lazy or dead right eye, and an unusually larger left eye, that is solar plexus or Sacral center energies dictating terms. Now, get any pics of people you KNOW to have good and loving hearts. Balanced eyes, very warm, and a very tight - not sagging - fluidity in their face. If they are being overshadowed - either good or ill - the overshadowing being's visage will show in their face. If it is heart center and higher, you'll see it instantly. A warm light about them." Cbswork and Rudolf SteinerIP: Logged |

Yin Sanpaku I have such. Also when in deep immersion trance I often weird anyone out because it seems even if my eyes are wide open they will roll up to point only white shows. ------------------ ~The present time is theirs, but the future is mine.~Никола Тесла ~I remember, therefore I am immortal~LEXX }><}}}(*>~♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥~

Doesn't it mostly depend on what direction the eyes are looking in when the photo was taken?IP: Logged |

Yes LTT that's why I seldom pay attention to photographs. A true yin or yang will appear that way naturally. A lot of young girls take photos looking up to the camera as it is often a more attractive angle and can make most appear yin when not. I knew a severe yin girl in RL. IP: Logged |
