Hi there Randall, N_wEvil, and Heidi - and of course everyone else!I must respond in saying - if Cannabis started to give me paranoia, and/or refridgerator attacks (love the expression), then I think I'd have to stop doing it! Not fun at all! I think it's pretty logical not to do anything that has that sort of effect on you, and I respect you for that! Love and light to you all, Dooby IP: Logged |

Anyone been to Amsterdam?------------------ “It’s an interesting thing. Seeing Kuan Yin relating to a flower so intently. She's not just looking at it; she's interacting with it…I’m seeing how the act of relating to a flower appears to be so simple. Yet, it takes a tremendous amount of courage to make such a “simple” act important. Now, the lotus is floating away.” IP: Logged |

i have been to amsterdam. funnily though pot is legal there, and so is prostitution, i did not meet a single hooker nor come across much pot...though at gigs there were people smoking and obviously not feeling the need to hide it...and despite my being there in the music business, where pot is much appreciated, i would say the effects of legalization are hardly rampant, noticeable or deleterious. life goes on and things get done there as elsewhere...however potheads in amsterdam have a lot less reason to be paranoid...IP: Logged |

i would not argue that pot is good OR bad for you. like potatoes, it affects different people different ways. if you are carbohydrate-intolerant, eating potatoes is not good for you! same with pot. if you are already paranoid, it will increase that tendency.for the record, PS, i agree completely, as i have said several times, that NOTHING including pot, is harmless in all cases. however i thought linking the arizona shootings to pot smoking was a bit farfetched. the guy obviously should NOT have been smoking weed, but he was already crazy and THAT is why he shouldn't. the weed did not make him violent though it may have increased his bent for paranoid fantasies (conspiracy theories).. Kat, I know it was far-fetched, but the idea came from the Time's Magazine article... and it made me want to expand the argument to discuss the reality of all issues surrounding Marijuana. That's at least what I was hoping would happen IP: Logged |

Yes! It helps me interact better with people with off putting personalities, I sleep better at night, laugh more. A lot of people with traumatic childhoods use the herb daily. IP: Logged | |
