Girls like guys who are really stinky. If lots of flies are attracted to you, give them names! Moisturizer can be great, but don't wear too much. Be sure to remember your clothes when you walk outside in cold weather.

Spiritua you are so funny!

you remind me of when I was a teen and lusted after sweaty hot men, I figured I could smell their testosterone or something and it was driving me wild..

Hi, I didn't know that this thread is continuing!

SVirgo, thanks for the tip. I also use a retinol cream, but yours sounds better. What's its brand name?

As for stretchmarks... Did you lose a lot of weight quickly? I think you should moisturise your belly more than usual and exercise to get some muscles (if you don't have them already ) and tighten your skin that way. Did you try special creams for stretchmarks? I think rubbing oil (maybe almond) into your skin might help.

Oxychick,
you probably have a problem with bursting capillaries in your cheeks (I hope that's the correct term) and if it bothers you to have red cheeks, maybe you should try to find some cream or something to prevent your capillaries from bursting (probably when it's cold or warm, right?). I think there are special creams for that, but I haven't checked. But at least you look healthy with those rosy cheeks, right?

Hi, Fajita and everyone!

Oxy,
I think we were in the same telepathic wavelength just now...

I just edited my post when I remembered about your question.

How funny, Morgana! I guess we are on the same wavelength this morning. I had a cream for capilaries (and the mask I use is supposedly good for that), but the cream ddn't feel moisturizing enough and didn;t seem to make much of a difference. I guess I'll have to shop around. Thanks for the advice though.

Hey, Oxy!

I have a feeling that your problem with capillaries can be treated with some vitamin or herb supplements, I mean, there must be some "internal" reason for this capillary oversensitivity, so perhaps you should do some research in that area.

Jade knows so much about herbs and stuff, maybe you should ask her, she has another thread here (All you wanted to know about herbs). I know that creams can help, but the real remedy always comes from within, so it's best to combine the two... Good luck! If I find out something about that though, I'll let you know.

Thanks morgana!
The brand name is M.D. Forte, I bought it from Dermatologist. (M.D. Forte Skin Care). I think you can get it online too.
My stretch marks are after my child birth so they are around about 16 yrs old. I did not cared them in the beginning but now I am wondering about them. I used cream and I am using every night Almond Oil too. But still not great help.

Hi all!

I see Jade is already doing her white magic in the other thread...

Thanks, sVirgo, for the brand name. I'll see if I can find it online.

Hi,
I just wanted a few ideas with mask you can mix natural yogurt, honey, with avocado, eggs. It leaves the skin very smooth.
Another one is yogurt with lemon for cleaning, or Avenna w/ yogurt.
Avocado & olive oil are great for the hair and skin.
For hard dry spots on the feet knee or elbow, rubbing lemon, or lime is great pure Vit. C will soften the skin or you rub Epsom salt with essential oil jasmine, rose, or ylang-ylang with a few drops of Vit. E. It will do wonders.
For the hair henna is great I used it and it left my hair baby soft. I loved it!!!…. Ladies that love to buy creams out there try to get one that has Vit E, D, A and NO MINERAL OIL that is a big no no.
We take care ladies

Hey girls,

just wanted to say that I'm using Lancome's Primordial Intense Yeux cream for my eyes now and it's very good, my little lines got less visible. And now I also bought Shiseido's Bioperformance eye cream and I used it twice and I'm very happy with it, it seems to have an instant effect. Yes, I'm splashing out, but it's worth it. I'll tell you how it worked out.

Muse, when I used henna on my hair, it was very nice, I liked how my hair looked, but it was quite dry. Funny, isn't it? Maybe it depends on the manufacturer.

Hair seems to be a pretty tricky topic as everyone's hair is so different. I basically use the Pantene Classic Clean shampoo and conditioner, alternating with this red shampoo/conditioner by Clairol (though I find that most Clairol products are very drying to hair, so I use an additional conditioner with it). I used to use VO5 Hot oil, but it they became stingy with it and have since forgotten. Lately though, my hair is looking very shiny. I also use Thermasilk gel (LESS than a dime in my hand before I blowdry).

I ran out of my Mario Badescu undereye cream and have been too lazy to get more, so I've been using some undereye cream from Trish McEvoy (a sample that came with a bunch of products I got). I love her eyeshadow-Trish McEvoy and Channel have the best eyeshadows IMO. Christian Dior has the best lipstick, although I do have a great one by Trish McEvoy too. And Chanel lipsticks smell good...ooh, I think I'll go to Sephora this week and play with the makeup. There's a sexy red lipstick by Vincent Longo that I wanna try.

Er...hope it was okay that I went off on that make-up tangent. :\

Anyway, my brother ans sis-in-law bought me a praffin maker, which I am about to turn on. I have cold, dry hands so this is wonderful for me!

Hi,

just a comment or two about red faces!

I have that too-- it my case, it's a common skin condition called "rosacea", and while people say I have lovely rosy cheeks at times, they haven't seen me in full flush and looking like a stop sign!! Check out rosacea on the Net, and see a dermatologist to determine if you have the same thing... tends to happen to people with pale flushable skin, and runs in families, often of northern european descent. To calm the flushes and stop damage to the capillaries, you can cut out trigger foods (sometimes spicy foods, and at first filter coffee did it to me, but espresso coffees did not-- weird!), or trigger situations -- extreme cold or heat can make you flush -- plus there are creams that soothe and reduce the redness. I use an over-the-counter cream called Rosacure, but most people respond to prescribed creams like MetroGel, MetroCream or Noritate, to name a few popular brands. After a week or so of use you'll notice an improvement if you have the right cream.

I wonder what Linda would have recommended in this case.

cheers,
Lunargirl

Hi Everybody!

Here is a tip for shaving: If you have sensitive skin and have irritations afterwords, this will solve your problems and make the skin nice and smooth:
(Using a good gillette), you first shave TOWARDS the direction of the hair growth, and then in the opposite or how you would normally shave. It really works.
