I'm working hard on learning to work with my chakras. I've taken a time out at times when I feel especially upset over something, focused on each chakra and the corresponding color and i feel better afterwards.Anyone have anything to say further on the subject? much appreciated, LMB IP: Logged |

HI! You can learn about chakras from many different sources. ONe I recommend is Shirley MacLaine's "Going Within" but I"m sure there are more comprehensive books out there.love LMB IP: Logged |

LMB, that sounds like a useful exercise. I'd like to try it myself. It makes sense to me because what you are describing is the restoration of balance to the energy centres which are momentarily depleted. Ooh, how I've missed all of you and your thought provoking discussions.

Aquamoon sure missed you too!! LMB hows dad doing?? Also LMB, when meditating, I visualize my chakras and see them opening a little at a time & aligning. For me ,it helps keep balance after an upset. jnuiperb IP: Logged |

Lisa Marie, Look up malachite gemstones. I wore them when I was stressed out a month ago. They are immensely helpful. Best, AphroditeIP: Logged |

LMB - I'm very much a novice with pendulums, but I've read that crystals can be used to realign the chakras. I did try it once with my heart-shaped crystal pendulum and I did feel better. Hopeful IP: Logged |

Hiya LMB Everyone else Like Aphrodite said I have found one of the best ways to help with chakra healing is with crystals... I find using a crystal of a corresponding colour (i.e. citrine for the solar plexus, malachite for the heart, purple fluorite for the third eye...etc) Is one of the best ways to impart loving positive colour energy into these centres, as well as removing blockages... You can also use a certain crystal for its attribute - regardless of its colour... for example bloodstone is great for removing blockages in the lower chakras, while rose quarts is great for healing a broken heart... Hope this helps LOL Nebel

Malachite is very inexpensive also. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

Just rinse with cold tap water (a running stream would be better), and visualize the water running completely through the stone. A short incantation can also help (but isn't necessary). Then recharge it by leaving it in a window sill for a few hours (with direct sunlight). ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Oops. Chakras are not to make you feel good. They are the telephone exchanges between this realised-you and the Actual-You. (Unfortunately for most people the Actual-You is unknown) They should not be confused with the Chi centers in the Etheric body. If health is a serious business for you, an 11 page document is available free from www.peaji.com. IP: Logged |

A new comment on an old topic... Here's an exercise to open and cleanse the 7 main chakras, just a variation on the good exercise LMB was already using on hers. After getting into a mediative state in a quiet place where you won't be interrupted, visualize your chakras one by one as closed, coloured flowers, starting with the root, or red chakra, and open them one by one. Feel their energies flow. You can see whether a flower is a faded or vivid colour; that tells you about whether the energies of that chakra are strong, or depleted. After they have been opened and energy has been flowing for awhile, and you feel either very energized or at peace, slowly visualize closing them, one by one, except for the Crown chakra on top of the head, which should stay open all the time. The colours and areas of the chakras are: 1st - root - base of spine - RED 2nd - stomach area - ORANGE 3rd - solar plexus - YELLOW 4th - heart - GREEN 5th - throat - BLUE 6th - third eye - INDIGO 7th - crown chakra - top of head - VIOLET WARNING: make sure you close up your chakras, EXCEPT for the Crown chakra. You especially do not want to leave your Third Eye chakra open - could lead to headaches and more problems, as it would attract intense and often unpleasant vibrations, spirits, or people. Before I begin, I shut out restless pets from the room, turn off phones, and sometimes play New Age music or light incense. I invoke the blessing and protection of the Divine, and ask for healing. After I'm done, I offer thanks. When doing this, I have sometimes felt chakras open slowly, but other times they snap open or shut! Sometimes I have discovered that one was already wide open, but I hadn't realized it till then. Approach any self-healing with love and respect, and it's hard to go wrong! Lunargirl IP: Logged |
