I adopted a llama,Sweet Peas, from a farm & she had been neglected. She had had a baby & it was born not breathing last year. I`m assuming thats why she was mistreated (couldn`t make them any money). She had another baby yesterday, 13lbs (should be 25 lbs) She was not breathing and it took 40 minutes to get her going breathing & stable. Shes too weak to nurse and mom has no milk. To compound the problem, colostrum is whats needed in the first 12 hours. After a nights search, I got some & baby gobbled it up. It will be touch and go for the next 48 hours. Please pray and send lite to the little angel and mom.
I have been so frightened and done all I can. Now it`s up to God/dess. And thank you for just reading this, I do tend to rattle on.  OH! She is a velvet black little angel.  juniperb, baby and Sweet Pea  IP: Logged |

Thank you all Shes so precious, fuzzy wuzzy & all legs. So far so good. She will need a blood test to see if she has enough antibodies built up ( from the colostrum) so thats the next hurdle... lots & lots of antibodies for baby. juniperb IP: Logged |

Juniperb.....lots of love and white light for your new little "Angelita Negrita" ....I can feel her tender sweetness and it is choking me up with tears of joy!! She will be fine......she will be a beautiful one. And Mommy will be fine,too. My love to you and your babies  ------------------

"Angelita Negrita" What a beautiful name Shes frisky this am and I pray I`m not borrowing trouble, but the moon is in my sixth and (if I`ve learned right) it rules health and pets. Day four, if she didn`t get enough antibodies from the goats colostrum, she will start failing at this time. This a.m. shes ravenous and fiesty I believe my  is flying and will accept nothing less. Angelitas tests came back and she has a bad heart, a leaky valve  She probably had a heart attack when she was born and thats why she wasn`t breathing. She isn`t suffering, but she isn`t expected to live. I will just take each hour as a gift and love her. Your prayers are deeply appreciated. juniperb & Angelita IP: Logged |

Randall. Any time is good for me as I`m up almost around the clock. Shes with me this a.m.,weak but hungry which is good. She is a Gemini ruler of lungs,asc Leo ruling heart & aorta and moon in Cancer, lymph system(she`s prone to infections. a number 5(Angelita), Lindas earth majick and an air sign; which may have breathing difficulties and circulatory problems. Recuperative powers are unpredictable (star signs). This is one of the worst charts I`ve ever seen. The vet has done her job. Now it`s up to the God/dess and what I can do. So, my question is: with the above information, is there anything you can recommend to aid the 'recuperative powers'?
