What effect does this have? Does the effect change depending on which crystal you use?I have a few crystals and I'm interested to try this, but not sure which crystal to use! IP: Logged |

GeminiLover75Hey! I think this an excellent question, and since I have studied crystal therapy a little, I will attempt to offer a simple anser: Yes! If you simply put a crystal in a glass of water and hope that it will change the vibration of the water, then you are attempting a form of crystal therapy which is related to vibrational medicine. The basic concept of crystal therapy is that the energy/vibrational pattern of a crystal can subtly enhance/interact with your own energy/vibrational patterns which results in spiritual and physical realignment and healing. Each crystal has its own particular resonancy and chakra that it vibrates to. i.e. bloodstone is effective on the root chakra. Crystals can be used simply by meditating with them, wearing them as jewelry, or using them in an elixer...an elixer is precisely what you are referring too! But to create a true elixer certain steps must be taken. There are various methods, the most simple one being putting the crystal in a pure glass container filled with pure water in the sun for 12 hours...but each crystal must be researched before doing this...such as malachite is highly toxic and poisonus and a different method must be employed. Also care must be taken to cleanse all crystals before hand to remove negative energies. Also, some elixers are more potent than others and one should be aware if one is ready to deal with the spiritual change..and example would be that Obsidian draws out negative energies and patterns from the psyche and one may not be prepared to deal with facing one's 'dark side' Each crystal is different. I have not been experimental enough to try and elixer for myself, but I do meditate with crystals and use crystal layouts and they are extremely effective physical and spiritual healers. As far as elixers are concerned this book is EXCELLENT if you can find it: GEM ELIXERS AND VIBRATIONAL HEALING, VOL. 1 by Garudas. This is a detailed reference on the properties of most crystals and on how to prepare an elixer. I also recommend: THE CRYSTAL BIBLE Another wonderful and well-rounded reference to most all crystals. What crystals do you have? Please let me know and maybe I can be of more help. I hope this information has made sense and light! TMC

Thank you so much for the response! I'd like to get the Crystal Bible sometime soon, it looks very thorough and easy to use! The crystals I have, and which I'm interested to use any of as an elixir (thanks for telling me the right word!), are clear quartz, rose quartz, amethyst, citrine and orange calcite. Each of these crystals are ones that I sensed a special vibration from when I purchased them. Right now, I'm interested in removing negativity from myself (which I wouldn't necessarily use an elixir for) as well as giving myself more health and vitality. IP: Logged |

Good for you! That is the same reason I started crystal therapy. I am glad that my info was helpful. All of the crystals you bought are indeed speical crystals, in that all of them promote self love, compassion, joy and abundance. Rose quartz and amethyst will be especially helpful when it comes to the loving vibrations you give to yourself and others. Rose quartz gently heals spiritual wounds and promotes calmness and love. When I am feeling particularily vulnerable and low I meditate with rose quartz and I wear a necklace made of amethysts, rose quartz, green aventerine, and snowy quartz. Citrine is an aweseom crystal, in that it never needs to be cleansed. It is EXCELLENT for removing and cleansing negative energy...it is a crystal of abundance and joy. I have felt a particular attraction to a yellow citrine I bought not to long ago and it has helped me a lot with some sexual abuse issues I have from the past. Calcite is also a wonderful stone of abundance and joy. GeminiLover75, it seems that the universe has sent you some very postive and loving energy through your choice of stones. The best way to get the message intended for you is just to 'spend time' with your crystals, and the universal messages/energies will come. You will probably get really attatched to them. Just for information the following might want to be kept in mind: Citrine and amethyst tend to fade in the sunlight. All your crystals should be cleansed before meditating with them. For amethyst and more delicate stones I cleanse them by running them under cool water and visualize all the negative energy washing away. Then i 'tune' the crystels by holding them in my hand and projecting energy into them (such as by saying "I intend this crystal to promote self-love")Just be sensitive to your stones and they will impart the wisdom that you need to recieve. It is important to clease the crystal regularly because they absorb negative energy and will begin putting it back out of not cleansed. Keep me posted on how you do...and lots of light and love. The crystal bible is a great investment and I am glad that you are exploring this field. TMC

Thanks for all the help and info, TMC! I didn't realise all of those crystals could be considered particularly special above the rest, but at the time when I bought them I somehow felt that they would work 'together' as a personal combination for me; the clear quartz is my most recent one and when I 'played' with it in the shop it practically pulled my third eye inside-out - so of course I had to buy it! Now with the addition of that clear quartz I feel as though they are complete set which meet my most important needs... and I just realised you're right, I already feel attached to them, they are very personal to me!About the soy protein shakes, I have no idea... but I do know that the only time I tried soy I put it in my coffee and it curdled and it tasted like cardboard... :P IP: Logged |

Oh, by the way... quite recently I was staring at my crystals and I see shapes in them... kind of weird because it's not the same shapes every time I stare. Often they were giving me a visual message to do with a parent and child, or with a young child. Another time it was all animal shapes ( I said to my boyfriend, "guess what I saw in my crystal?!" and he replied "Donald Duck?" ... Weirdly enough, the last shape I had seen was Daffy Duck... well, that's how I interpreted it - maybe if he had seen it he would have seen Donald Duck... lol!) Anyway, is that strange to see striking images inside a crystal?IP: Logged |

GeminiLover75That is absolutely fascinating! Your third eye must be very open to recieve such images/messages...technically what you are doing is called "scrying", which is recieving visual and mental images from mediating and gazing into crystals. That is where the idea of the 'crystal ball' came from-the ancient practice of scrying. Keep your mind open and the images you see will begin to make sense to you and guide you...how marvelous! love and light TMC IP: Logged |

How cool! Thanks for all your helpful info! I also used to see shapes in my coffee grinds after I finished drinking the coffee, usually to do with bunnies or babies. Maybe I get this from my gypsy ancestors... not sure exactly where in the family tree they are (it's on my grandmother's side though), but it's there somewhere! IP: Logged |
