I got a chunk of yellow opal from Ethiopia a couple weeks ago. I’m really tempted to try and chisel off a smaller piece to make a necklace out of, but I don’t know what I’m doing at all and kind of worried that I’d just ruin it.IP: Logged |

Perhaps you could try a more controlled method? Do you have like a Dremel type tool? You would probably want to cut it while it is submerged in water--kind of like cutting glass with a drill or dremel. IP: Logged |

Not anymore, unfortunately. I do have one of those handheld glass-cutting tools that look like a tiny pizza slicer, but I can’t quite picture that working. For now I think it’s just meant to be something other than jewelry.IP: Logged |

I hate to complain, but waiting for it to be dark out to charge amethyst in the moonlight, since the sunlight turns it green. If I don't forget this time, I'll be charging it when Uranus, N. node, and Mars are in a conjunction. IP: Logged |

I'll be working with Citrine next for the last few weeks of summer. IP: Logged |

I've been pretty happy and silly with the citrine necklaces I own.Though one of the days I did have an outburst with my husband, about feeling like I'm not getting my needs met. IP: Logged |

I also cleansed them with orange essential oil from diffuser. And charged them in sunlight. I have to get creative with my minimal lifestyle. IP: Logged |

Switched out Botswana agate for chrysocolla the other day. I left a potted palm tree out in the cold and almost killed it, but I’m going to try making cordage from the stem fibers.IP: Logged |
