Hello, I have more diagnoses and still don't know what is that that changes my look: from very good looking to some other person. I am swollen in the face, bellow chin and the neck muscle on the right side is also swollen. My diagnoses: 1. Sinusitis maxillaries chr.cath. 2. Rhinitis hypertr. et sicca anter chr. cath. (my nose mucous membrane is dry all the time) - since school days; 3. Atypical Trigeminal Neuralgia, 4. Occipital Neuralgia, 5. Suprascpular Neuralgia, 6. Enthesopatia levator scapula, 7. Cerebral Atrophy, 8. Spondylarthrosis C4-C7, 9. Hypotireosis. All that is connected and doctors say that my pains in the face, eyes are reflex pains and come from neck muscles. Since I have Cerebral Atrophy (first was Atrophy frontal) feel terrible pressure from the top of my head into my eyes holes and at once get very sleepy and can't do anything. At the same time have eyes and cheek bone pains. Is anybody here with similar health problems? Buena

Hi bunnies,I don't have this Syndrome. I was 6 years by chiropractors and one was Neurologist: he told me that there is nerve coming from C5 (Suprascapular) going to the sinusitis. From sinusitis I have eyes and cheek bones pains. From sinusitis I have also Trigeminal Neuralgia, which is terrible (it hurts all the time). But the last head MRI has shown some shadow on the bottom of my brain. Neurosurgeon told me that is what makes pressure on Trigeminal nerve but he may not make operation because it is dangerous. I have to wait until next MRI (October, 2008) I think that my dry mucous membrane is from thyroid (I was born with small thyroid) as I live in the mountain area. Now I have thyroid hormones ok (just today - first time after 19 years, when I first went to the doctor for thyroid). 19 years I am searching cause for Sinusitis and Rhinitis. What I don't understand is my neck and all those discs: there is narrow space and that could make pressure on my muscle (and swollen). Orthopaedist told me, that is nothing because I can turn my head. I don't have neck pains but right muscle is swollen and I have nerve pains. Nerve is pinched and makes me so many problems. It is story without end. Thank you for answer, Buena ------------------ Never say never! IP: Logged |

This might sound like a daft question buena but do you carry a shoulder bag and if so on what shoulder? Are you right handed?

Hi bunnies,I do all with right hand. Massage therapist and Orthopaedist have told me, I may not work and carry heavy things with right hand, like hand bag or things from the shop. There is also some kind of benign tumour on the right shoulder joint. Two years ago here was one man doing Tibetian medicine. I have asked him about the cause for my pains and he has shown my right upper part of the right arm and told me: here is the cause. When I press there it is very painful. What is strange to me: some say that muscle supraspinatus (there I have pains very often) comes from shoulder joint some say it is connected with neck vertebra C5. As I know all is connected with the neck (shoulder, arms and hands). Maybe I am talking too much and they don’t like it? In fact I am sick of the doctors. Thank you, Buena

5C is connected to vocal chords, neck glands and pharynx. Misaligned 5C can cause larngitis, hoarseness and throat conditions.5C can be connected to annoyances in muslces around shoulder blades. 2C is connected to sinuses. Usually when one vertebrate is 'out' then a few others are. Misalignments in the spine can be cause from accidents from previous years and even from being born! I have no idea of what could cause your swelling. I can only tell you what I know about my 5C vertebrate. One exercise I do each day is lie on my back and lean my head back over a foam wedge, so that gravity is pulling my head down and arching my neck back. It initially felt uncomfortable and I could only do it for 30 seconds a day. I can now do it for 14 minutes a day. My target is 20 minutes a day. I hope you find a solution! Love to you!! Hi koiflower,Thank you for answer. I don't have only C5 vertebra but more vertebras: C4, C6 and C7 (for thyroid). It is strange I had always C2 and C3 (spondylarthrosis) by Radiology. MRI has shown only the bottom vertebras. Chiropractor told me that my TH1, TH2, TH3 are not good. I must tell you that my friend (female) brought me book 1996 from Louise Hay where are all vertebras and for what illnesses they are. It is strange also that in abroad many years ago Neurologist gave me just one injection on the right side of the neck (down) and my pains have disappeared. I was brand new in 20 minutes. With 16 years I was running around with swollen and strange face and with 25 years I was looking like I was 16 years old. Now I am no more sure, my pains are coming from the head or from the neck? The story has begun in 2nd class of Secondary School. It was after one and half year that I went to the School by train. What was worse I was walking on the rain (without umbrella) as long as I didn't get pains all over head, face and eyes. Doctors gave me diagnosis: sinusitis maxillaries. As I know (now) usually there is fever. I had never fever in my life. The biggest temperature was hardly 36 degrees (Celsius). About drinking water: the more I drink the biggest is my stomach and I am feeling much worse, because I have bad digestion. For that helps me only fresh cabbage and garlic. No teas, no water. In fact, nothing else! Kind regards, Buena

hi buenaI started an extensive course with a chiropractor. That is 3 times a week. My neck is 20 years older than the rest of me. He and I are working hard on reversing the condition. My course is: 3 times a week for 3 months 2 times a week for 3 months 1 time a week for 3 months once a month It is a little expensive, but it is an investment in my health. After getting my body into a pattern of adjustment, as well as me doing my neck stretch each night, my chiropractor was able to adjust my vertebrate around 2C, 3C area at about the 36th visit. The continual tightness I had in my neck for a year has gone. It is more flexible. I still have a way to go in spine repair. At the moment, I am visiting twice a week. I feel subtle changes in my neck and scapula area. Each change will create a change somewhere else. I still sinus problems, esp. at night. But I am hoping that clears up in time. By allowing the spine to carry messages from the brain without being squeezed down through misaligned vertebrate can greatly improve a person's health and even add quality years to ones life. I also changed my pillow to a memory foam pillow and instantly, I discovered I had been straining my neck while sleeping. I now wake up with no strained and exhausted neck. I highly recommend a memory foam pillow to anyone! Okay, now that's my spinal history. Must get ready for work! Have a great day Buena IP: Logged |

Hi koiflower,Thank you very much for all explanations. I must tell you that I was from 1996-2002 by 10 (ten) different Chiropractors, from 5 (five) different countries (in the country I live). Why they didn't help me for neck vertebras? No idea! I was arguing with the last one (I was most of the time in his ordination) who is Orthopaedist and Rheumatologist and he should help me. But he didn't. When I was there and got therapy it was good for most of 2 (two) hours. I am asking myself am I stupid or what that I have spent so much money for nothing? The only one who gave me right therapy was Neurologist (most of them come from Moscow): with injection in the muscle supraspinatus as also on the right side of the neck (on the bottom). It was good twice 6 months. He was here from 1997-1999. That all makes me some dilemma: from one side CT scan shows Disc Hernia from C4-C7, MRI shows spodylarthrosis by the same discs. From other side nobody helps me. Astrology: I have ruler of my 6th house, Neptune in 12th house means, I am getting wrong diagnosis all the time. Now I want to know more about Medical Astrology. I know enough (and know that warmth helps me, also bio-energy and all what makes better circulation) but there you have to know also right food and all other things that belong to the Medical Astrology. Love to you, Buena

I am not a doctor and cannot tell you what you could/should do.However, for my condition which is similar to yours, I: *** use a foam memory pillow *** take fish oil and glucosamine capsules each day *** do a daily neck stretch exercise aiming for 20 minuntes. *** keep my neck active and mobile *** go to a holistic chiropractor *** work on keeping my posture as correct as possible *** keep my chin up high whenever possible I have found that doing these things, has helped my condition very much. I concentrated on applying all of the above activities and felt an improvement on my shoulder/neck stiffness in about 2-3 months. Good luck in applying your health care plan for your spine. koiflower

This sounds incredibly frustrating, and I feel for you. This is a really long shot but can you get some Quantum Touch therapy if there isn't an osteopath who can help you? IP: Logged |

Hi koiflower,There are few things you wrote I like and can do it. You have to understand me, that I am a bit disappointed about all those doctors: they don't see well or they are blind only in my case? I know there is solution for me, but the more I talk the less they listen to me. Thank you. Love to you and AU, Buena

Hi GeminiLover,It looks terrible, but there is help. The problem is that I am with wrong people and on wrong place. Most of diagnoses are reflex pains, what means they are not really neuralgias but something makes pressure on them. Thank you for kind words. Buena

Hi koiflower,I want to know did (or) do you have eyes pains? In my case are always eyes pains: pressure from the top of the head; from the bottom of right neck muscle (nerve) and I feel totally sleepy and helpless. One thing is only changed look and other things are: pains, sleepiness and changed look. Thank you for answer, Buena

I wonder if there is something else buena, that is ailing you.thyroid? cholestorol level? How have your looks changed? I know we can all have a different look comparing our left side of our face to our right. My left side feels more 'emotional' than my right - I always have more sensation in the left side of my body and legs than my right side. It could be from my neck. But there is very little pain - nothing more than a slight misalignment of my vertebrate - which I am working on through chiropractic care. With all the specialists I am amazed that no-one has found a solution - leaving me wondering about another condition somewhere which is ailing you. I'm also thinking that you give yourself a 3 month intense spinal care program and see how you feel at the end of it. It can take up to 2 years of regular chiropractic care to strengthen one's back. Any buena, that's all I can think of, but i will keep my senses open to any new ideas for you koiflower xx IP: Logged |

Hi koiflower,Thank you for answer. In my life I have seen only once the face like mine: by one actress that has got some hormone injection to have younger face. Instead of that she has got total swollen face, like 20 wasps or bees were on her face. So is my face and I do feel how it grows from the bottom of the neck over head and face and closes my eyes. I have terrible photo from 2001, but wouldn't show here for any money. You could see me normal and sick. Did you ever see somebody that has got allergy? I have seen once. From the wasps! My neck doesn't heart although I have black on the white about spondylarthrosis from C4-C7. Doctors told me it is not from thyroid and not from the neck. It is from the neck muscle. I have got many years ago injection (from one Neurologist in abroad) in the neck bottom, right side and all my pains were away. What injection and was it Ganglion Stellatum or neck muscle I don’t know? Kind regards, Buena

buena36 I am not sure I can give much advice. However your body issues are very much like mine. I am disabled going on two decades to date. OK... If you are large in the bosum ask the doctors what you should do. I had to give up wearing any kind of bra and the doctors want me to get a breast reduction but due to strokes cannot. If you are heavy, losing weight can help. Is the problem limited to your cervical region? Have you been checked for Osteoarthritis bone spurring? How old are you? I am in my mid 50s and was in my mid 30s when I became disabled. As for the face swelling, yes, I can relate there also. Do you have palsy too? Are you on oral or any other steroids? Have they told you some of it will get better or is it all permanent? If you can walk well, please keep doing that!IP: Logged |

ok, back now I ask this because I have just made a connection regarding myself! My chiroprator said my neck was in a bad way compared to the rest of my spine. Well, it took me a while to realise and remember that I was a forcep birth. It wasn't an easy birth either. Apparently, I was taken away for a 24 hour observation and my mother didn't get to see me until the next day. I was still bruised when she finally got to see me. A while back a friend of mine mentioned forcep birth problems can come out years later in life - and voila! there was my answer!!! Well, I am just assuming this all about myself. I am going to ask my chiropractor what he knows about forcep births. Piecing it all together! koiflower xox IP: Logged |
