Ooooo a light body would ROCK.

Sorry to hear you suffer from dysmenorrhea too. Do try the tea (all natural) T, it really helped me considerably with the cramps. Reduced them to bearable. Word of caution, it does leave you feeling really hot though when you stop. I started it last Sun - Tues (the 1st 3 days during which I felt ok too)but frm the day i stopped & a week later, i still feel like someone turned on an internal oven! Somehow its worse when asleep, i wake up restless from feeling hot. If I adjust the central air conditioning any more, i'll wake up to the family and pet fashioned in icicles

If it works for you, its great that you'll be able to reduce dependency on chemical medications (not sure if you take them but i OD coz my pain forces me to skip work otherwise).

Lol, i don't think the men would be able to handle it either. My best friend - a guy - came down with a gout attack recently and was lamenting to me how its worse than childbirth. I said ok, i feel for you, perhaps it is but I'm more interested in how YOU know

SunChild,

Have you tried it yet?

Please let me know if it works for you!

You've been very empathic, tolerant, and kind to me- which I truly appreciate!

In any event, I wish you all the alleviation there is for your monthly cramps.

Starting this tomorrow or the next day (feeling cramps starting to come on) ~ Have ginger, brown sugar, ect... ready to go.

I hope to never have to take panadol or Aspirin again. We'll see.

D for Defiant,
You can't prescribe me happy pills?

Fases De La Luna,
Thanks. I have been watching what I eat and taking some supplements which have helped but I get the occasional desire to pull my car over and whack someone for driving too close to my car or get angry when someone is too close to me in line or cry because I opened a bag of chips the wrong way.

Are any ladies on here vegetarian? Have you noticed a difference in your cycle after becoming a vegetarian?

Do ask yourself the following question before you start your well-researched and careful plan for your vegetarian diet or even vegetarian/vegan way of life:

Why do I want to be a vegatarian?

Best wishes

DFD, Well I'm still waiting for my period. I'm VERY late, about 10 days! I still feel mild cramps though, on and off. Oh oh.

Have you no humor? I was using irony.

I have been a vegetarian for 10 years. I (or anyone) do not need to be schooled by anyone on how I should examine my morals (like my choice to being a vegetarian).

I asked the question because I have noticed that when I eat a lot of dairy my menstrual cycle is brutal. Maybe I should have been more narrow in my question... The only time my diet has negative affects on me is when I gorge myself with diary (mostly sour cream and items that are premade with milk). To deter my cycle from being brutal because of my indulgence of dairy I began buying organic diary that claims to be from animals that are not pumped with chemicals/hormones ...this has helped me.

Were you trying to be rude or did I just take you the wrong way(which is possible when communication is through written words without facial expressions and vocal tones)?

How about preach to people about the chemicals and hormones pumped into the animals they eat? Why is it so easy to target the other?

Let me edit my question:

Has anyone noticed a difference in their menstrual cycle when curbing on any of the following products: dairy, eggs, meat, fish?

Thank you D You have many qualities that I admire
It came today! Thank goodness. So far so good! Less cramping than usual, and ginger works great.

Hi D,

Just wanted to let you know that I had another period and strangely enough, this time, though i didn't do the ginger tea (ran out of brown sugar), i was able to get through it without the use of external medications.

The cramping was considerably less than normal & I just gritted my teeth through the pain & made do with my hot water bottle (usually the pain is beyond that which can be helped without medication).

Perhaps it was because this time, for a few days preceding my period, i had slivers of ginger thrown into my regular milk tea. I didn't want to induce extra heat - too much at a shot like i did last time - so thought of this, maybe it was what helped!

Will try it the next cycle to confirm.

Thanks for the tip again D.
