I wouldn't take this orally as it could well give you the 'runs' but the oil and rubbing into your skin, seems a better option. I had been taking it orally and it gave soooooo much wind, I could have played you a tune..... IP: Logged |

Magnesium http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum3/HTML/002911.html I found out Dolomite (powder is best) form is a most absorbable way to take it. Not to mention it has the perfect ratio of calcium naturally occuring in it as well. The brand I got was Kal. IP: Logged |

Well the steroids and Loricet, Vicodin, etcetera, clog me up so getting diarrhea from oral magnesium is not all a bad thing. Better than laxatives. Or foods that cause bloating/gas.IP: Logged |

Dolomite can be contaminated with lead. I didn't think they still sold it.------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

That's what an initial google search turns up Randall (that's what first jumped out when I searched for info too), but apparently their are conflicting reports indicating otherwise.SaggiMC, yeah it's important info. & i'll check out the oil at the link, thanks! IP: Logged |

I do foot baths with magnesium oil in water. Rubbing magnesium oil directly into my skin gives me a rash, which is strange, considering I have no allergies. IP: Logged |

The lead is 3 parts per million, which isn't bad.------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

Saggi, this is where I got mine. I'm in the US. http://www.magnesoothe.com/magnesium_oil_testimonials.html Not sure about the % on their brand. I'm thinking of doing what Yin does and using it for a footbath. I don't get a rash from it, but am not fond of the film it leaves on skin. I also recently read that the feet have special channels that are able to absorb more nutrients than any other area of skin. IP: Logged |

This was a really informative read http://www.mgwater.com/rodtitle.shtml. Just check out the Table of contents! Mag offers so many benefits and healing of ailments.

The Health of the Nerves Chapter 7. Epilepsy Chapter 8. The Mineral of life Chapter 9. How to Eat Enough Magnesium Chapter 10. Magnesium for Strong Teeth Chapter 11. Bone Meal and Dolomite Chapter 12. Cholesterol Chapter 13. The Prostate Chapter 14. Alcoholism Chapter 15. Magnesium Fights Osteoporosis Chapter 16. Kidney Stones Chapter 17. Magnesium's Effect on Body Odors Chapter 18. Some Letters Chapter 19. Suicide and the Magnesium Deficit Chapter 20. The National Magnesium Deficiency
Chapter 19......you don't often consider the physical health of people who take their lives and we usually think it's only mental. How often did someone have a serious deficiency (in a mineral that was so important to brain health) and that's what pushed them over the edge.....we too often leave that component out, I think. No lol! It seems to regulate me not cause problems. And I do not swallow it without thoroughly chewing it first along with a calcium like Tums. Seems to work faster and better that way. Like charlie horses vanish within 15 minutes or so. I do 250 mg 4 times a day and more if need be.------------------ For all sad words of tongue and pen, the saddest are these, 'It might have been.' Make your own magnesium oil: http://www.cheeseslave.com/how-to-make-magnesium-oil/ apparently it's a great deodorant as well. we'll seeee..... I've read a good alternative deodorant is Milk of Magnesia - straight on your armpits. Might try that one too. Anything's better than the chemical crap out there .... if it works, that is.. i live in an extremely warm climate, so whatever i use, needs to work well. IP: Logged |

& i read if you get diareah, it's a sign your body is not absorbing the magnesium. Try taking it up through your feet in a footbath. Be sure to use pure warm water as you don't want to absorb the chemicals in ordinary tap water either.IP: Logged |

I've been looking for a good deodorant too. They say that if you eat vegan your sweat no longer smells. Unfortunately, that is not my path, at least not yet. Please let us know what happens with the milk of magnesia as a deodorant. Have you tried using baking soda? I don't like using it because it just stains my clothes white. That's what I've read about oral intake of magnesium too...
