So are you going to address any of the facts I specifically stated about Osho or not? Do you really think he was a real deal spiritual teacher?

Would a real spiritual teacher condemn a former disciple to eternal suffering and torment if she didn't come back (there is literally video of him doing so)?

Would a real spiritual teacher be high on drugs almost every day for most of his life?

Would a real spiritual teacher collect 85 Rolls Royces?

This is just the tip of the iceberg with this guy.

How you can think he is a real spiritual teacher is completely beyond me. What, because he could talk the talk when he was coherent enough to do so? Anybody can talk the talk. ASPD folks do it all the time. Real spiritual teachers also walk the walk, which he didn't do whatsoever. He didn't live his life for others and positive service, but for his own bloatedly selfish self and meanwhile facilitated limitation and stuckness in relation to many, because they actually believed he was a real spiritual teacher.

What I don't know is whether you're just naive about him, or willfully ignorant? The former can be excused and looked over, but the latter not so much.

It is the same reason why this teacher, a real actual spiritual teacher said some very strong words to the false spiritual teachers of his day like, "Woe to you Scribes and Pharisees, pretenders, who wash the outside of the cup and of the dish, but within are full of plunder and evil!"

Or, "Snakes! Offspring of vipers! How will you escape from the judgment of Gehenna?"

Dunno, but the dude sounded a little irked with these pretenders who were misleading people and abusing power and authority over others.

No I'm not going to address any facts. I'm not Osho's promoter, his techniques helped me during the worst phase of my life, and I feel grateful to him for that. Thats about it.

And I shared this technique here as it relieves stress if done properly, its a guarantee from me.

Rest what he has done, it is none of my concern, even if Hitler himself helped me at some point in my life, I'd be grateful to him for that.

And this is not his technique btw, it is an ancient technique simply made famous by Osho.

I can understand and appreciate that this meditation helped you. But yes, in a way, you are promoting him. You could have just outlined the meditation without reference to him, and thus would not have been promoting him. Some people may see his name, and start looking him up and find the various blindly devoted websites and articles about him being a spiritual teacher, and may start to think, "wow, this guy is cool and interesting, I should listen to more of what he has to say" or the like. And thus does a journey towards stuckness and needing to be retrieved potentially, eventually begin, because within those truths are various distortions that are limiting in effect.

Hmmm, re: Hitler, Osho, etc, very few beings are all or even 99.9 % negative, and so nuggets of wisdom, truth, or the like can be found even in unlikely places at times. With that said, would you ask Hitler for spiritual advice or attunement techniques? Most people would understand and realize that this would be limiting and a waste of time and energy to do.

Just like most wouldn't go up to ASPD folks and ask them about spiritual truths, Love, how to better spiritually attune, etc, etc, because they are completely clueless and distorted about these things.

Osho having at least a malignant narcissistic personality, is not far from that spectrum mentioned above. Not only was he not a real spiritual teacher, but he wasn't even a decent human being in general. He used and abused people for his own egotistical whims. He called himself a spiritual teacher/guru because he wanted attention and an easy, cushy lifestyle where he could sponge off of others rather than having to work for money etc.

What makes a spiritual teacher an actual spiritual teacher is how they live in relation to others and their degree of attunement to Love consciousness. Not knowledge, techniques, talking the talk, titles, etc, but beingness and how positive or not that beingness is. Most real spiritual teachers don't even advertise themselves as such.

I am not in the proper condition for a debate on whether he was "real" spiritual teacher or not, when I am, I will address your posts.

Till then, keep bumping my thread, see ya~

___________________________

[b]Loving-Kindness Meditation

The original name of this practice is metta bhavana, which comes from the Pali language.

Metta means ‘love’ (in a non-romantic sense), friendliness, or kindness: hence ‘loving-kindness’ for short.
It is an emotion, something you feel in your heart.

Bhavana means development or cultivation.

The commonest form of the practice is in five stages, each of which should last about five minutes for a beginner.

* In the first stage,
you feel metta for yourself.

You start by becoming aware of yourself, and focusing on feelings of peace, calm, and tranquillity.
Then you let these grow in to feelings of strength and confidence, and then develop into love within your heart.
You can use an image, like golden light flooding your body, or a phrase such as ‘may I be well and happy’, which you can repeat to yourself.
These are ways of stimulating the feeling of metta for yourself.

* In the second stage
think of a good friend.

Bring them to mind as vividly as you can, and think of their good qualities.
Feel your connection with your friend, and your liking for them, and encourage these to grow by repeating ‘may they be well; may they be happy’ quietly to yourself.
You can also use an image, such as shining light from your heart into theirs.
You can use these techniques — a phrase or an image — in the next two stages as well.

Then think of someone you do not particularly like or dislike.

Your feelings are ‘neutral’.
This may be someone you do not know well but see around.
You reflect on their humanity, and include them in your feelings of metta.

Then
think of someone you actually dislike —
an “enemy”, traditionally—
someone you are having difficulty with.

Trying not to get caught up in any feelings of hatred,
think of them positively and send your metta to them as well.

In the final stage,
first of all you think of all four people together —
yourself, the friend, the neutral person, and the enemy.

Then extend your feelings further —
to everyone around you,
to everyone in your neighbourhood;
in your town,
your country,
and so on throughout the world.

Have a sense of waves of loving-kindness spreading from your heart to everyone, to all beings everywhere.

Then gradually relax out of meditation, and bring the practice to an end.

I did this one today. The timing was right.

I did an old technique that I learned a long time ago. I had sensations in my left heel. That's all I feel like sharing.

My sister got me into this hypnosis guy called Matarasso.

It's simular to meditation in my opinion. But I can't find his stuff on YouTube, or Spotify.

I think I can only buy his stuff on itunes and I'm not sure if I want to go there.

My sister has also had some trippy things happen to her when she does this.

I heard Mooji say somewhere something like " if you feel sensations, let them come, but you stay rooted in your am-ness" .

Excerpt from 'The Rebel' by Osho

quote:

Questioner: MASTER,

CAN WE HELP EACH OTHER? CAN I BE HELPFUL TO SOMEONE, CAN SOMEONE HELP ME?

IS BECOMING AFLAME THE ONLY WAY TO BE REALLY HELPFUL? PLEASE, THROW SOME LIGHT.

Osho: Sarjano, the blind cannot help the blind. Those who are groping in darkness cannot lead others to light. Those who don't know immortality cannot help others to drop the fear of death. Those who are not living totally and intensely, whose song is not yet of the heart, whose smile is only a painted smile on the lips, cannot help others to be authentic and sincere. Those who are hypocrites, pretenders, cannot help others to be honest.

Those who are not yet themselves, know nothing about themselves, have no idea of their individuality, who are still lost in their personality which is fake and created by the society, cannot help anybody else to attain individuality. Even with all good intentions, it is simply not possible.

If your flame of life is not burning, how can you make the unlit lamps of others aflame? You have to be aflame, Sarjano; only then can you put others on fire.

This is what I mean by being a rebel: you have to be rebellious, then you can spread rebellion all around you. If you are on fire, aflame, you can create a wildfire which goes faraway beyond your vision. But first you have to be aflame.

The blind man leading another blind man... Kabir says both fall into the well. His original words are: ANDHA ANDHAM THELIA DONO KOOP PADANT. "The blind led the blind and both have fallen into the well."

You have to have eyes to lead the blind to a physician -- there is no other way. You can only share with others that which you have got: if you are miserable, you will share your misery. When two miserable persons are together the misery is not only doubled, it is multiplied. The same is true about your blissfulness, the same is true about your rebelliousness, the same is true about all experiences.

Whatever you want the world to be, you will have to be a model first. You have to pass through a fire test to prove your philosophy of life by your example. You cannot just go on arguing about it. Reasoning and argument will not help; only your experience can give to others the taste of love, of meditation, of silence, of rebelliousness, of religion.

Before you have experienced, never try to help anybody -- because you will simply mess up the other person more. They are messed up already. Centuries of heritage have been messing up everybody. It will be very kind of you not to help, because it is going to be dangerous; your help will be very risky for the other person.

First travel the path, know perfectly well where it leads -- only then can you hold the hands of others and take them on the path.

An American Jewish visitor in Russia says to his guide, "In America I can say that Ronald Reagan is an idiot and nothing would happen to me."

The guide says, "You can say that in Russia and they will give you a medal."

It is very difficult in this world to communicate. You have to learn how to communicate your experiences so that what reaches others is exactly what you want to say; otherwise you may be thinking of sharing nectar and it may turn into poison in their lives. They are poisoned enough already!

It is better to first cleanse yourself, make your eyes more transparent so that you can see better. Perhaps -- then too, perhaps -- you may be able to help others. The desire is good, but good does not happen just from good desires.

The ancient saying is that the way to hell is paved with good intentions. There are millions of people who are helping with good intentions, advising others -- not even bothering about the simple fact that they don't follow their own advice. But just the joy of advising is so much... who cares whether I follow my own advice or not?

The joy of advising others is a very subtle, egoistic joy. The person you are advising becomes ignorant; you become knowledgeable. Advice is the only thing in the world which everybody gives and nobody takes; and it is good that nobody takes it because it is given by people who know nothing -- although there is no bad intention behind it.

You are asking a very compassionate question -- but in the very nature of things, if you want to change the world, you have to change yourself first. The revolution must come to you first. Only then can you radiate it into others' hearts. First the dance must happen to you, and then you will see a miracle: that others have started dancing too.

The dance is catching; so is love, so is gratitude, so is religiousness, so is rebellion -- they are all contagious. But first you must have the flame that you want to see in others' eyes.

A bit off topic but a long time ago my sister introduced me to Matarasso hypnosis. I did one for A+ work. It does remind me a lot of guided meditation a bit. He is an Aussie with a pleasant voice too.

I bought the album for better sleep.

My personal favorite meditation.

quote:

OSHO Dynamic Meditation ®
This meditation is a fast, intense and thorough way to break old, ingrained patterns in the bodymind that keep one imprisoned in the past, and to experience the freedom, the witnessing, silence and peace that are hidden behind those prison walls.

The meditation is meant to be done in the early morning, when “the whole of nature becomes alive, the night has gone, the sun is coming up and everything becomes conscious and alert.”

You can do this meditation alone, but to start with it can be helpful to do it with other people. It is an individual experience, so remain oblivious of others around you. Wear loose, comfortable clothing.

The meditation is to be done with its specific OSHO Dynamic Meditation music, which indicates and energetically supports the different stages.
For the music availability, see below.

Instructions:
The meditation lasts one hour and has five stages. Keep your eyes closed throughout, using a blindfold if necessary.

This is a meditation in which you have to be continuously alert, conscious, aware, whatsoever you do. Remain a witness. And when – in the fourth stage – you have become completely inactive, frozen, then this alertness will come to its peak.

First Stage: 10 minutes
Breathing chaotically through the nose, let breathing be intense, deep, fast, without rhythm, with no pattern – and concentrating always on the exhalation. The body will take care of the inhalation. The breath should move deeply into the lungs. Do this as fast and as hard as you possibly can until you literally become the breathing. Use your natural body movements to help you to build up your energy. Feel it building up,but don’t let go during the first stage.

Second Stage: 10 minutes
EXPLODE! … Let go of everything that needs to be thrown out. Follow your body. Give your body freedom to express whatever is there. Go totally mad. Scream, shout, cry, jump, kick, shake, dance, sing, laugh; throw yourself around. Hold nothing back; keep your whole body moving. A little acting often helps to get you started. Never allow your mind to interfere with what is happening. Consciously go mad. Be total.

Third Stage: 10 minutes
With arms raised high above your head, jump up and down shouting the mantra, “Hoo! Hoo! Hoo!” as deeply as possible. Each time you land, on the flats of your feet, let the sound hammer deep into the sex center. Give all you have; exhaust yourself completely.

Fourth Stage: 15 minutes
STOP! Freeze wherever you are, in whatever position you find yourself. Don’t arrange the body in any way. A cough, a movement, anything, will dissipate the energy flow and the effort will be lost. Be a witness to everything that is happening to you.

Fifth Stage: 15 minutes
Celebrate! With music and dance express whatsoever is there. Carry your aliveness with you throughout the day.

Note:
If your meditation space prevents you from making noise, you can do this silent alternative: rather than throwing out the sounds, let the catharsis in the second stage take place entirely through bodily movements. In the third stage, the sound Hoo! can be hammered silently inside, and the fifth stage can become an expressive dance.

Osho explains about this meditation:

“Remain a witness. Don’t get lost. It is easy to get lost. While you are breathing you can forget: you can become one with the breathing so much that you can forget the witness. But then you miss the point. Breathe as fast, as deep as possible, bring your total energy to it, but still remain a witness. Observe what is happening as if you are just a spectator, as if the whole thing is happening to somebody else, as if the whole thing is happening in the body and the consciousness is just centered and looking. This witnessing has to be carried in all the three steps. And when everything stops, and in the fourth step you have become completely inactive, frozen, then this alertness will come to its peak.”

“It takes time – at least three weeks are needed to get the feel of it, and three months to move into a different world. But that too is not fixed. It differs from individual to individual. If your intensity is very great, it can even happen in three days.”
